Located in a prime downtown spot, it's convenient for getting anywhere. Downstairs is very lively with restaurants, a food street, and a shopping complex all in one.
During weekdays in summer, there were many foreign guests... and quite a few elderly Chinese too. The front desk often had queues for check-in, and there were always people waiting for taxis outside. Business was really good, yet the room offered excellent value for money!
Thanks for the free upgrade to a deluxe suite~ It was newly renovated.
I was on a business trip and decided to bring my mom along so she could relax and enjoy herself.
**Facilities**
They offer a table tennis room, a swimming pool, and a gym.
No robots for food delivery pick-up though.
**Hygiene**
Clean.
**Environment**
The overall environment is good. The old five-star hotel is very well maintained; it doesn't feel old or dated.
The room was newly renovated, but the sense of space wasn't huge, and the bathroom was a bit small.
**Service**
The service attitude was excellent and professional.De€ 83

People's Square Area Shanghai|0.47km do centro da cidade
Fantastic central location, right opposite People's Square, close to 3 metro lines including Line 2 which goes almost everywhere (and to the airport in 1 hour), and connected to a huge shopping mall adjacent to the hotel.
We had a late arrival due to a flight delay, but the staff was available for check-in.
The breakfast was magnificent with a great selection of savory, sweet, Chinese, and continental options – something for everyone, plus superb freshly squeezed orange juice.
The family suite was immense, though a bit dated, but it suited us perfectly. Housekeeping was done daily.
I was able to communicate with the concierge via WeChat beforehand, and they were very kind.
The only reason I'm not giving a 10/10 is that we didn't receive any information about dining at the hotel's restaurants, visiting the bar, or going to the swimming pool.
For the pool, we had to find its location ourselves, and it was complicated to figure out which floor it was on relative to our building. We were on the 9th floor: we had to go down to the 8th floor, cross into the adjacent building where the 8th floor became the 6th, and then go up to the 8th floor of the new building 😛 It was hard to figure out and understand where we needed to go. The pool and jacuzzi are great and felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing. Swim caps are mandatory but provided by the lifeguard if you don't have one.
There's a magnificent view from the bar located in the upper tower, even if the elevator is tricky to find for going up or down.De€ 104

The room was very clean, and since we had a child with us, we booked a family room. The front desk even gave us a complimentary cake and fruit. They also provided extra kids' toothbrushes and bottled water for the little one. The hotel's location is excellent, with a direct subway connection to People's Square Station from the B1 level of the New World next door, making it super convenient for getting around.De€ 129

Huaihai Road Area/Xintiandi Area Shanghai|1.78km do centro da cidade
Service: Before checking in, I read many reviews complaining about the check-in staff. I definitely experienced it myself. All the staff avoided eye contact; it was hard to find someone to help with check-in, and everyone seemed busy.
There was a young man near the elevator entrance who suggested not standing there. He would just lower his head and walk away when he saw guests; I don't know what purpose it served to have someone standing there.
The bellhop at the luggage storage was enthusiastic, but I suggest increasing the refrigerated storage space and training staff. They shouldn't advise guests to carry their refrigerated items with them when checking out, especially on such hot days; it's better to leave them in the air-conditioned hotel.
The staff at the entrance who helped with luggage and opened car doors were polite, and their service was appreciated.
Some of the hosts at the breakfast restaurant were very warm and friendly. Others were not, and some were only friendly towards Japanese guests. The chefs at the cooking stations were all excellent, and the food was delicious.
Facilities: Older hotels always have shortcomings in their hardware. As soon as I exited the elevator on the guest floor, I smelled dust, and there was a musty smell in the room. The shower equipment was old and difficult to use, the washbasin was quite low, and the small magnifying mirror for makeup/removing makeup was broken; either you had to hold it up very high to see your face, or it would fall down and still not work. This can't be changed in the short term, so it needs renovation.
During renovations, I suggest not installing mirrors facing the bed again. I slept very poorly at night.
Cleanliness: The cleanliness was much better than I expected. There was no dust in the nooks and crannies, which was a pleasant surprise.
Noise: The room was very close to the elevator, but surprisingly, there was not much noise, which was acceptable. However, there was a regular rumbling sound, which I suspect was the subway passing by; it was very noticeable. The sound disappeared after the subway stopped at night and reappeared in the morning.
Overall, it was not a very pleasant experience, but I've tried it. I won't choose this hotel again.De€ 99

The Bund Area Shanghai|1.73km do centro da cidade
A hidden gem in the bustling city, offering breathtaking Lujiazui night views.
After comparing several Bund hotels for our family trip to Shanghai, we finally chose this Hanjin hotel. Its location, design, and service were all exceptional, far exceeding our expectations!
【Prime Location, Super Convenient for Getting Around】
The hotel is located on Renmin Road in Huangpu District, a 5-minute walk from Yu Garden and Chenghuang Temple, and a 10-minute walk to the Bund riverside promenade. Yu Garden Station on Line 10 is just 700 meters away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the old town and enjoying the Bund night views without constant travel. It even has a free underground parking lot, perfect for those traveling by car. Despite being in a bustling commercial area, the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. Closing the window completely blocks out street noise, offering a true oasis of tranquility.
【Public Areas Overflowing with Atmosphere, Perfect for Photos】
The entire building boasts a retro Art Deco Shanghai style, with its iconic bronze streamlined entrance being highly recognizable. The lobby is on the 7th floor, and upon entering, we were immediately struck by the giant bamboo glass chandelier. The wooden textures, warm soft lighting, velvet sofas, and brass furnishings perfectly blend with Hanjin's aesthetic, creating a gentle yet sophisticated ambiance.
The 8th floor houses the quiet Hanjin Study and Tea Room, while the 11th-floor open-air rooftop garden bar is a must-visit spot. It offers an unobstructed panoramic view, perfect for enjoying the evening breeze and overlooking Lujiazui's 'three-piece suit' and the Oriental Pearl Tower. Sunsets and night views are effortlessly stunning here. The hotel is adorned with floral art everywhere, with flower design details hidden in the elevators and corridors, creating a truly immersive atmosphere.
【Exquisite and Comfortable Guest Room Amenities, River View Rooms are Heavenly】
The entire room features a gentle pink and orange Shanghai-style color scheme, with elegant ink-wash floral walls. It boasts a 65-inch TV with screen casting, a smart toilet, a wet and dry separated bathroom, and an oversized scenic bathtub, making bath time incredibly therapeutic.
The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the corners are meticulously clean. All drinks and snacks in the mini-bar are complimentary, and free bottled water is always available by the elevators on each floor – a testament to their thoughtful details. The children especially loved it! The front desk offers free popcorn 🍿 in the afternoon, which tastes just like cinema popcorn! The amenities are comprehensive: the 7th-floor buffet breakfast offers a rich variety, covering Chinese, Western, and local specialties; there's a gym and a yoga room for light exercise during leisure time; and the hotel regularly hosts flower arrangement workshops, offering many recreational choices.
【Overall Summary】
This hotel perfectly blends old Shanghai's charm with Hanjin's elegant aesthetic, striking a balance between a bustling location and a peaceful private space. It's suitable for couples, family mini-breaks, and trips with friends. Explore Yu Garden's old streets during the day, stroll along the Bund in the evening, and then return to the hotel's terrace to enjoy the Pudong River night view – it's the top choice for a vacation in downtown Shanghai, and we'll definitely stay here again!De€ 106

I recently stayed at Pullman Shanghai Central and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The reception team stood out right from check-in — everyone was warm, attentive, and professional, making the whole process smooth and welcoming. To my delight, I was even offered a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise and made my stay extra special.
The room itself was fantastic — spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable, with everything kept spotlessly clean and well-maintained. We booked this eco-friendly hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very conveniently located: there's a metro station nearby, as well as two shopping centres. The hotel is large, but there was quiet and peaceful.
The view from the window was beautiful, even despite the typhoon that was hitting Shanghai these days (our room was on the 12th floor. We chose the hotel because of its location and good breakfasts. The breakfasts were really very delicious and tasty.
There was both Chinese and European food. A wide selection of fruits: watermelons, melons, apricots, mangoes, bananas, dragon fruit. There were many different pastries, several types of yogurts, even matcha yogurt.
Also, at the exit from the restaurant, there was a Candy Bar with chewy marmalade: you can put the marmalade in a small bag.
The room had everything, including a capsule coffee machine, an ironing board, and an iron, which is very convenient. l'd especially like to mention the eco-friendly slippers, which really stand out from the slippers in other hotels: they're very comfortable. Shanghai Disney Resort Shanghai|21.83km do centro da cidade
We stayed in a twin tatami room on the 1st floor with our child for a Disney trip, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the Disney metro station, but if you prefer, bus route 1 stops right outside the hotel and also goes directly to Disney.
The communal bath (Gokurakuyu) was excellent. We went in the afternoon when it was practically empty, almost like having the whole place to ourselves. The water was clear and at a perfect temperature.
The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite Bicester Village, so we took a stroll around, enjoyed some food, and did some shopping. While the hotel parking lot didn't have charging stations for guests, the staff went above and beyond to find a solution, and we ended up driving home with a fully charged car, which made us feel very secure.
During our stay, it was our child's birthday, and the hotel provided a wonderful birthday setup. Our little one specifically wanted to praise the balloons! However, the hotel doesn't have a Western restaurant, so getting a birthday cake, whether delivered or bought, was impossible unless you brought one yourself. Also, the dining service stops after 10 PM, so for those returning late from Disney and wanting a late-night snack, you'd need to arrange for the restaurant to pack something for you in advance.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It's a perfect base for visiting Disney, and you can avoid the crowds at the official Disney hotels.De€ 84

Room: We stayed in a quiet king room on the second floor. It was spacious and fully equipped. The hot spring bath looked small, but it could actually fit two or three people comfortably. Upon check-in, we received two bath salts and a bathtub liner. The bath salts' scent was barely noticeable due to the large size of the tub. The air conditioning in the room had a dehumidifying function, so it never felt damp after a soak.
Environment: The hotel is surrounded by several buildings, making it very quiet and private. It has its own small Japanese garden, perfect for photos and feeding fish.
Location: It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Zhenbei Road Station on Metro Line 13. It's close to Zhonghuan Bailian, so dining and ordering takeout are very convenient. There's even a Metro store right across the street!De€ 90

The hotel room facilities are good, with everything that should be there. The smoking area outside is also very beautiful. The breakfast in the morning is very good, it is self-service, and there are freshly made noodles to eat. If you are thirsty, you can go downstairs at any time to have some drinks and fruits, which are all included in the hotel package. Why the deduction? Like many reviews wrote, the water in the pool here is really too hot. It is the hottest of all the hot springs in Shanghai that I have been to. It feels too hot. I saw that several children could hardly soak in the water for a while. I don’t know why so many people complained. I saw that the management was still saying in the comments that it met the hot spring temperature requirements. What they said is that your water is too hot, and they are giving you suggestions. Everyone in the hot spring said that the water was hot, not that you violated any regulations... It takes talent to reply like thisDe€ 48

The location is located in the forest but there's no light surrounding during night . There are 3 pet dogs who live nearby (one of them is friendly). During winters the place is almost empty. Best for solo or couple travels. Sauna in winter is a must try. Overall the room needs a little repairing but it's not that noticable. The rooms are pretty large and provide all amenities. Each room is calm a provides a retreat for a peaceful vacation. The Breakfast lady is nice and hospitable. Breakfast included milk, croissant , a pastry an egg and a bowl of wontons. All snacks and fruits provided in room are complimentary. Overall a nice place for short weekend trip. In morning one can have a morning walk around forest or bike ( during winters the bike become a bit rusty though). The place also provides Kayaking in the nearby lake for 100 RMB / 3 hrs . It's best to enjoy kayaking in summers. Will visit here again. Also the place doesn't provide dinner but there are 2 nearby places providing good food. The location in Xintiandi is unbeatable, and there are many foreigners around.
Breakfast is served on the first floor and is available until 11 AM on weekends. The breakfast itself is truly commendable: a wide variety of fresh, delicious food, and excellent service. I would definitely return just for the breakfast.
Dolores provided great service, making check-in very fast. There's also a turndown service. When I called the front desk because my foot was chafed, they quickly sent up band-aids and alcohol swabs.
The room has a vanity table, but the smart toilet and hairdryer are a bit old-fashioned; it would be a bonus if they were updated later. The bedding is a tiny bit firm, but I still slept very comfortably. The room also has wireless charging for watches, headphones, and phones, which is very thoughtful.
The bathroom is much better than the one at the Andaz next door. Since both the bathtub and shower are within the glass door, there are no strange odors.
The gym is on B1. Although it's small, it's well-equipped with plenty of machines, showing a lot of consideration.De€ 173

I've always wanted to experience The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai. After all, the hotel's location is truly unbeatable, and as a fan of The Ritz-Carlton, I had certain expectations for its service.
First off, the location is truly beyond words. It's right in the heart of West Nanjing Road, with Plaza 66, the Exhibition Center, and Kerry Center just outside the door. Shopping and dining are incredibly convenient.
Secondly, I specifically booked a room with Executive Lounge benefits, and as expected, The Ritz-Carlton's executive privileges were exceptional. Besides five meals a day (the evening canapés were especially good), I also made use of the luxury car pick-up and drop-off service within a 2-kilometer radius of the hotel.
Finally, I must especially highlight the hotel's service. Although the hotel's facilities are showing their age and can't compare to many newly opened hotels, the overall service truly added a lot of value. I'd like to extend a special thanks to Audrey, the Assistant Front Office Manager, who was incredibly kind, efficient, and thoughtful. She perfectly arranged all the needs for our stay with a child. Coincidentally, it was Qixi Festival (Chinese Valentine's Day), and she thoughtfully sent flowers, which absolutely enhanced the romantic atmosphere.
In summary, great location, excellent service, and a comfortable stay. I will definitely be back!De€ 140

Staying at Citadines Apart'hotel Hongqiao Shanghai was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious and equipped with all the comforts of home. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the location was super convenient for getting around, yet surprisingly peaceful and pleasant. Overall, my stay was very comfortable. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and cozy, and the soundproofing was excellent. Check-in at the front desk was quick and polite. Plus, there are plenty of dining options and easy transportation nearby. It offers great value for money and I genuinely recommend staying here.De€ 45

The Bund Area Shanghai|1.78km do centro da cidade
The legendary Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund lives up to its reputation! The location is unbeatable, right on Nanjing Road and the Bund. Our river view room had an incredible view of the Lujiazui skyline at night. The Art Deco lobby with its stunning glass dome creates an amazing atmosphere, so vintage and refined – perfect for snapping some retro-style photos. The service is what you'd expect from a classic luxury hotel; the concierge was attentive and responsive, making our stay a 10/10 experience. You absolutely have to catch the Old Jazz Band; their music transports you back to old Shanghai. Definitely worth the trip, highly recommended!De€ 308

This is Shanghai's oldest foreign-related five-star hotel. Since it was taken over by Jinjiang and rebranded as Kunlun, the service has seen a slight difference, though overall it still meets five-star standards. The staff are proactive in greeting guests. The main issues lie with the afternoon tea and happy hour. For afternoon tea, the Puerh tea was already dry. As for the happy hour noodles, I'm not sure what the chef was thinking – they were cooked, then cooked again, left to sit, and then cooked one more time when ordered. Do they think all guests are grandmas?
**Facilities:** My room was upgraded for free, and it was very spacious. The only drawback is that you have to step into the bathtub to use the shower, which isn't ideal, but it's understandable given the hotel's 90s foundational layout.
**Hygiene:** The hygiene was excellent. My only minor complaint was the insufficient hand soap.De€ 83

An unexpectedly great stay! Since we were traveling with a small baby, the hotel upgraded us to a suite for free. It came fully equipped with a playpen and a crib. The suite itself was very spacious, and having a separate living room and bedroom was incredibly practical. We also took our baby to the hotel pool, and the water was very clean. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, and we tried two of the hotel's restaurants, both of which were excellent. We'll definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit.De€ 222

The Bund Area Shanghai|2.48km do centro da cidade
Check-in was a bit frustrating. The person ahead of me had an issue with their booking channel that took 20 minutes to resolve, and the front desk didn't bother to open another queue. I had to re-queue myself. Their problem-solving skills definitely need improvement. The Bund view from the hotel, however, was no joke – genuinely good. Note that the West Building only offers views of the Oriental Pearl Tower; for a view of the entire financial district, you absolutely need to book the East Building. It poured rain the day I was there, completely ruining the river view, which was a bit of a waste. The shower stall was cramped to fit a bathtub, making it even smaller than those in budget hotels. Parking is free, and you just cross the street from the underground garage to reach the riverside, which is convenient.De€ 145

I stayed at the Jing An Shangri-La with my child this time, and the location is definitely its biggest advantage – the mall is right downstairs. Our room faced the 'Bund Three-Piece Suit' (the three iconic skyscrapers), offering excellent views. I especially want to commend Apple from concierge; communication with her was pleasant, and she was very attentive in helping with our travel arrangements. The room's amenities were good, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also great, and the ice cream was delicious. Overall, it's a very reliable five-star hotel in Shanghai, suitable for both business trips and short stays.De€ 199

Lujiazui Area Shanghai|3.12km do centro da cidade
This was my second stay at the Grand Hyatt Jinmao, and it continues to maintain the consistent high standards of an established five-star hotel. The concierge staff proactively helped with my luggage and guided me attentively throughout the process. Check-in was very quick, so guests don't have to wait long. The room was exceptionally clean; there was no dust in the wardrobe or nightstand crevices, the bathroom was dry with no standing water, and the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin. Sitting by the window, you get a panoramic view of Lujiazui – towering buildings by day and a dazzling cityscape by night. With convenient access to the subway and shopping malls nearby, it’s an excellent choice for accommodation in Shanghai, whether you're traveling for leisure or business.De€ 155

Sheshan, Songjiang University Town Shanghai|35.83km do centro da cidade
An interesting hotel that I visited purely out of curiosity. There's an observation deck on the 14th underground floor where you can see the lake, waterfalls, and mines. Right next to the hotel is the Shimao Wonderland theme park, and the attractions there are really great for testing your courage. In the evening, there's a light and shadow show, telling ancient stories amidst dazzling lights – truly unique and beautiful. The Chinese restaurant at the hotel is delicious, and the water curtain show in the lobby is also quite unique. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a blend of old money and modern decor. They feature smart curtains and smart sanitary facilities.De€ 195

Wujiaochang Commercial Area Shanghai|9.08km do centro da cidade
Every stay at Pagoda Hotel Wujiaochang has been a great experience. The location is superb, right in the Wujiaochang business district. It's within walking distance to Hopson One and Wanda Plaza, which is incredibly convenient, and also very close to Fudan University campus.
The front desk staff are very welcoming, and both check-in and check-out are handled very efficiently. The room layout is well-designed, and cleanliness is excellent. The bedding is very comfortable, with just the right balance of softness and firmness.
The smart room control system is very convenient, and the bathroom has a great wet/dry separation. The toiletries also have a pleasant scent. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options and tastes good. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I will definitely choose to stay here again!De€ 75

The Jiayu Hotel is right next to Jiaxuan, essentially two types of accommodations under one brand. The location is unbeatable. It's super convenient – just take the escalator up to the second floor from the Purple Vine Road metro station exit towards MixC, and you'll see the hotel. It would be even better if there was a convenience store nearby. The hotel environment is also excellent, with large floor-to-ceiling windows that provide amazing natural light in the morning. The room itself is very tidy. The only downside is that the hallway decor is a bit peculiar, especially the wallpaper – it actually startled me the first time I stayed here. Overall, it's great value for money, and I'll likely stay here again next year when I come to Shanghai.De€ 27
