The service was attentive and warm, and the pool was huge and absolutely stunning. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, and the fresh-squeezed juice was a big hit with the kids. We even signed up for a membership! On our way out, we grabbed some macarons from the lobby pastry shop. We'll definitely be back for another stay, eat, and play experience when we have the chance.

We checked in here in the afternoon to have few hours rest before boarding our flight at 11:10pm. We were given a room with a nice view of Daxing airport. Love the spacious, modern smart room. The half an hour interval complimentary shuttle service to and fro airport is a major drawcard for me. What sets the hotel apart is the complimentary supper from 10pm to 12am. It is very convenient for guests who have just arrived and too tired to go out for food and also those who are about to leave for midnight flights. This hotel is only 5 min to airport. Walking distance to some eateries. Highly recommended!

Choosing the Grand Joy Hotel this time was definitely a wise decision. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the Xidan commercial area. The ground floor connects directly to Joy City, and with Juntai Department Store next door, dining and shopping are incredibly convenient. Plus, there's a Hema (grocery store) one block north, perfect for stocking up on daily essentials. The hotel room was spacious enough and felt very new. The high-floor view was fantastic. The only thing I found a bit odd was the open-plan bathroom. While it made the space feel larger, it just felt a bit strange. The bed I slept in this time was very comfortable; I didn't have any trouble adjusting to it, which is a big plus! I especially want to commend Manager Enoch from the hotel. Every day, he'd check if we needed anything and offer sightseeing suggestions. During our stay, he provided complimentary fruit and sparkling water, and even proactively offered milk because we had a child. He truly cares about the guests! A big thumbs up! 👍 I'll definitely choose Grand Joy again on my next trip to Beijing.

Location & Transportation: Excellent. Within a ten-minute walk, you can reach Wangfujing Street. The hotel is also within a ten-minute walk to the subway station (it's located between China Art Museum and Jinyu Hutong stations on Subway Line 8). There are several 'must-try' restaurants from the 'Must-Eat List' nearby, though the queues can be crazy. Dining: I had both breakfast and dinner. The variety isn't huge, but several dishes were very tasty. For breakfast, my personal favorites were the pan-fried buns and roujiamo (Chinese meat burger). I also had a bowl of noodles every day (with many different toppings). The stir-fried dishes changed almost daily and were freshly made and delicious. Service: Very generous, warm, and proactive. Room Facilities: We had a twin room. The beds couldn't be pushed together, but thankfully, they were 1.4 meters wide, which was quite spacious.

I originally booked for one night, but due to unfinished business, I extended my stay by four more days, which allowed me to further experience the features of Kempinski. Facilities: Very comprehensive, especially having two gyms! The gym on the 18th floor is relatively 'basic'; the one in the basement has two levels. B-1 has treadmills and light equipment like pull-up bars, while B-2 has a full range of barbells and dumbbells, and surprisingly, even two squash courts. What's even more delightful is that there's an indoor golf practice area where you can simulate playing a full round. The weekday charge is 150 yuan per hour, which includes free club rental (both men's and women's sets are available). I just didn't like the men's Dunlop carbon fiber set, so I didn't play. If you're in Beijing for golf and bring your own clubs, it's definitely worth a try. The swimming pool on the 18th floor is quite short; you reach the end in just a few strokes. However, it's still good for relaxation. Both gyms have saunas and Turkish baths. The breakfast buffet is very rich, with smoked salmon 🍣, plain yogurt, five types of honey, and four or five kinds of cheese – excellent value for money. Also, soft drinks in the Mini-Bar are complimentary... The room has amenities like bathrobes and an umbrella. Hygene: No need to worry; it's impeccable. Environment: Although Yansha Shopping Mall isn't as vibrant as it used to be, it's very convenient to enjoy the various dining options in the Liangma River business district. Service: Very attentive. Two deliveries (express and errand runner services) were brought directly to my room by the concierge.

You get what you expect, no less no more. Clean rooms, good quality of bed, cushions, nice breakfast with many options, kind staff. Everything as should be. Nice bathtub. The only thing is a view. First room we got did not have city view, but right in front was another building, which is very disappointing, but hopefully we managed to get another room with the view we expected in the first place. Shower had issue with dripping water. The rest all good.

The room was spotless and tidy; the cleaning staff came every day to make sure everything was sparkling clean and replaced all our amenities. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Wangfujing shopping area and the Forbidden City. A special shout-out to Apple, the guest relations manager, whose service was exceptional. She was very engaging and shared many recommendations for local food and attractions. She even treated me to afternoon tea, where I enjoyed some fruit and tea. Seeing that I was alone, she kindly kept me company and chatted with me. She also helped me resolve an issue with my parcel by contacting the courier company. Furthermore, she proactively helped me carry my luggage to the car. I'm incredibly grateful!

Right at the start of the year, we met a wonderful person, Manager Min. I had originally booked a deluxe twin room, but he thought it wouldn't be comfortable enough for me and my three children, so he upgraded us to a deluxe duplex suite with a large bathroom and two bathtubs – so thoughtful! A special thank you to him. The environment is just as pictured. The service was incredibly patient and comprehensive. We ordered takeout, and the delivery driver just dropped it off haphazardly and left. The staff helped us search for it everywhere and then delivered it to our room, showing immense patience. 101 thumbs up! From now on, Hilton will be our first choice for travel – a great brand. I want to specifically mention the upgraded room. Since we're from the south, we're quite particular about Feng Shui. When he offered the upgrade, I specifically asked if it was a room at the end of the corridor, as I wouldn't want it, no matter how luxurious. He assured me it wasn't, and it was actually the very first room. That's fantastic! Thank you!

1: The front desk staff who checked me in, wearing teal eyeshadow, kept a straight face and emphasized three times that I needed to keep the executive lounge schedule and adhere to its times. Excuse me, is this my first time visiting an executive lounge? And second, I'm not blind or deaf, so I would have understood after you said it once. Also, please fix your makeup. 2: After being in the room for a while, I noticed a yellow stain on a pillowcase. I called, and the attendant quickly came to replace it. It's no exaggeration to say she replaced the pillowcase in 2 seconds. This was, without a doubt, the best experience of my stay. 3: As part of the executive benefits, I had a late check-out until 4 PM. However, at 2 PM, my card stopped working. My three-year-old and I were stuck in the elevator, unable to go up, and he got scared. It was then that I realized they might have deactivated my card... We had to go back to the front desk on the ground floor to resolve it. All of this is fine, these are minor issues. 4: They charged me 3500 for check-in and took the deposit quickly. But getting the deposit back was a different story. I've stayed at so many five-star platinum and diamond hotels, and I've always received my deposit before even leaving the hotel entrance. This is the first time I've encountered not receiving it after 12 hours. Customer service told me it would be returned via the original payment method within 48 hours... I've truly never heard of a deposit being delayed like this. 5: The shower in the room was very cold, and at night, it was extremely hot, making it hard to sleep. The breakfast was decent but didn't offer much. Please stop serving that 'cheong fun' (rice noodle roll); it's an embarrassment. Anyone who has ever had 'cheong fun' would know what I'm talking about... The executive lounge had almost nothing to eat; it was far too little, not even half of what you'd find at a Ritz. The orange juice was good. There was one young male server in the executive lounge who was absolutely the best; the other female staff were just props. That's all.

Service: Under the Hyatt partnership, Kapok Hotel's training is excellent. Staff also help carry luggage to the room. Overall, the service is friendly, with smiles and politeness. Facilities: A major letdown. As a hotel enthusiast, Kapok's overall design is appealing. The 'retro-modern' design, incorporating Beijing's urban culture, is a commendable concept. A comfortable hot shower and a good night's sleep are basic expectations for many guests. However, the hotel's hot water system is severely lacking. On a cold day, the hot water suddenly turned cold mid-shower. I was fuming. What's even funnier is that the hotel rooms use unknown bathroom fixtures. It's clear that Kapok's designer was trying to emulate Tony Chi's design at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou, with showerheads shaped like old telephone receivers. But it's a poor imitation; the water flow is extremely low, and the water pressure is very weak, like a garden hose. The showerhead holder is also loose, making it impossible to fix the showerhead at a certain height, so you always have to bend your head. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for guests who care about a good shower. Environment: I think the hotel's temperature control is well done. It's quite comfortable. Hygiene: Clean. No hair or lint on the sheets. The bedding isn't from a major brand. The mattress is a 'something-ger' from Harbin. I didn't pay much attention to the rest. I hope the hotel addresses the showerhead and hot water issues soon.
