"On the day I checked in, I left my things in the room and I went shopping. I did leave a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. When I came back, the minute I put down my shopping, someone tried to open my door. Looked through my peep hole and saw a middle aged woman. The key obviously did not work. She left after a while but came back with a bell boy who rang in my doorbell. I opened the door and bellboy apologised and asked if I was staying here. I said I have checked in at 3pm. Bellboy pointed at two luggages and said he sent them to the wrong room? Wait what? Whose are these? The woman said they were hers. Bell boy said he delivered them to the wrong room. Next, front desk called me and asked for my name. Not to apologise but ask for my identity. She confirmed that there’s been a mistake in assigning rooms. I asked her what do I need to do. She said nothing. No apologies. I asked her why the bellboy entered my room even though the Do Not Disturb sign was there. No answer. My advise to those who choose to stay here - double lock your doors and keep your valuables with you. They did not respect my DND sign and entered my room."

"The hotel located at the busy road area but the moment you enter the hotel it feels like you're entering the whole new world. The chill ambient, cozy and warm atmosphere occupied the whole parameters. Staff are superb especially the front desk - Kaushilliya. The room offers generous amount of amenities and you won't miss out the excitement. The cons i noticed is just that the gym were close. "I had a wonderful one-night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort. The hotel is very kids-friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. They have a great kids club and a fun water park that kept the children entertained throughout the stay. The view from the hotel is absolutely beautiful—peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to rest and recharge. I was also impressed with the food at the hotel. The meals were delicious and offered a good variety, suitable for both adults and kids. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. "I recently stayed at The Stallionz in Ipoh, and it was a pleasant surprise. As a very new property, it definitely has that ”fresh” feel and modern aesthetic that's hard to beat. The Good (Exceeded Expectations) • Immaculate & Modern: Since the building is very new, everything from the lobby to the rooms felt pristine. The design is sleek and far more ”premium” than I expected for the price point. • Top-Notch Facilities: The common areas and pool are standout features. They’ve clearly put effort into making the place ”Instagrammable” and comfortable for a chill staycation. • Convenience: Great location in the heart of town, making it easy to grab food or head out for sightseeing. Things to Note While the stay was mostly great, there were two small issues that guests should be aware of: • Bathroom Ventilation: One downside was the lack of an air ventilation system (exhaust fan) in the toilet. This can make the bathroom feel a bit stuffy/humid after a shower, so you might need to leave the door open to air it out. • Room View (Lower Floors): I stayed on the 2nd floor, and there was almost no view to speak of. If you’re someone who values a city or mountain skyline, I’d highly recommend requesting a unit on a higher floor (Level 10 or above) to really enjoy the surroundings."

"Hi The stay was pleasant. The unit was good when we entered, the air conditioning was working well. We did not use the kitchen utensils as we brought our own water heater. Except for the temporary blackout, the master bedroom bathroom shower drainage was choke, water drained very-very slow.. Overall we enjoyed the stay with a good view from the balcony. Attached a short video and photos Regards"

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our experience. The hotel’s direct beach access was a huge plus, especially for the kids, who had a great time. My main feedback is regarding the breakfast restaurant. I think both the service and dining environment could be improved. The air conditioning wasn’t sufficient to keep the entire dining area comfortable, especially during busy hours. The breakfast seating arrangement could also be managed better. Since the downstairs dining area was full, we were assigned a table upstairs. However, the food selection upstairs was very limited, so we had to go back and forth downstairs several times to get the food we wanted. It seemed that the restaurant lacked sufficient space to comfortably accommodate the number of guests during breakfast, which affected the overall dining experience. Other than that, we had a good stay and appreciated the hotel’s excellent beachfront location.

My third stay at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat. The peaceful surroundings, exceptional hospitality, and attention to detail are exactly what keep me coming back time and time again. A special highlight of this visit was dining at Jeff's Cellar. The setting inside the limestone cave is simply breathtaking, and the fine dining experience was outstanding. Another wonderful stay, and I'm already looking forward to returning again.

The environment here is comfortable. I always bring my foreign friends to stay here, and they are always very satisfied. The service attitude is excellent 👍. The breakfast is fantastic, and I really love the desserts too. The kids also enjoyed the night swimming. They'll definitely be back! 🫶🏻

Had a lovely long weekend getaway and stayed in the sea villas. The facilities were amazing with fresh water pools, tennis courts, gym and several restaurants with an excellent food selection. Our favourite was fisherman's cove which had more of a western cuisine. Overall we had a really pleasant stay. However having stayed at other similar resorts at a similar price it felt like it was lacking. I know how can I complain about staying in paradise? The area for improvement would be: an additional hose shower head instead of just the overhead one. Cleanliness of the library area. Greeting cold towels and drinks at the main lobby. Selection of shampoos, soaps and moisturisers. Eco-friendly toothbrush and energy controller with key card. Aircon and lights had to be turned off manually if we left the room. I would definitely go again but it would be nice if they took on more eco friendly initiatives.

Location is great as near to town. Only inconvenience is when you need to go to town, you need to drive further down to make a U-turn. The floor inside the unit is dusty. I really don't feel comfortable walking on it. Should put up notes in the unit that housekeeping is not available for those staying 2 nights or more unless we make special request. So that we can ask for drinking water or toilet rolls on our way back to the unit. The swimming pool, guard should enforce stricter rules that only swimming suits are allowed in the pool. T-shirts (even for parents) should not be allowed at all in the pool.

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. Since it is a new building, some floors are still under renovation. This was my first experience having a blackout while showering at night. I tried to contact the agency, but there were no staff available, so the only solution offered was a room change. We had to spend extra time moving all our belongings to another floor. One suggestion is to consider waiving the deposit requirement, or for the agent to contact guests one day before check-in to reconfirm the booking and deposit payment. I had already submitted my deposit before check-in, but the agency may have missed my message. I only received the entry QR code after being stopped and questioned by the security guard, which made the experience stressful.

Great for families! The rooms are well-equipped with everything you need, even pots and pans. The staff are really friendly too. My only complaint is there's no washing machine and nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom. Make sure to book a room facing the inner garden, as the street-facing rooms look out onto an empty lot. It's a bit far from the city center, but a taxi ride is usually under 10. The biggest downside, though, is the terrible soundproofing in the rooms – I hope they improve that. The gym is nice, but the pool is tiny, really only good for photos, not for actual swimming!

It’s a nice resort in Ipoh surrounded by greenery. Cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Black mildew grow around shower heads which is gross, dust on kitchen top surface and bad smell came out from the AC ventilation in the bedrooms. Activities listed for kids are of poor quality. There was a group of adults using the playroom as resting and make-up room. There was hardly anything for children to play with in there.. Achery was a joke, reception staff had no clue on the schedule and couldn’t be bothered to find out. It’s hazard to place a thin piece of glass on the table top  in the apartment.

Fantastic hotel, highly recommended! They have Chinese-speaking staff, and the hotel is brand new with spacious rooms. There's a supermarket downstairs, which is really convenient. It's a shame they were fully booked the next day, so I couldn't extend my stay. Next time I'm in Ipoh, I'm definitely staying here again!
