I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Monarch Hotel, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way! The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in. The free breakfast was a wonderful surprise - the selection was impressive, and the food was delicious. But what really made my stay stand out was the exceptional service from the staff. They were friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend The Monarch Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay. I'll definitely be back! Rating: 5/5 stars

If you come to Vigan, I definitely recommend staying here. The location is great. One step outside and you're on World Heritage Street. There's a pool and rooftop bar on the roof. The breakfast was delicious too.

It's good. They have a big pool with very good taking care. I would like to book their place again

Had a nice surprise of mixed fruits and wine. Candy gifts also for the young ones. Perfect for this holiday season The room is very spacious with soft pillows and blankets. Stayed at the loft. Room is good even for a family with cr provisioms for both loft and ground floor. They forgot space for luggage and clothes but its still ok for short stay. Highly recommended as plaza and calle crisologo are just a few steps away.

Beachfront property with great pools and beachfront restaurant for great sunset cocktails. However the property is showing many signs of aging. In my opinion, an uplifting renovation is needed. The staff are all very attentive and requests are responded promptly. I had to request another room the next morning as the moldy smell of the ac is making me sneeze all night. Within the hour I was relocated to another room with an ocean view and overlooking the pools. Our request for a “tabo” was granted asap and I think that made our stay on the positive side. Little cons for improvement: face towel torn with holes, no smart tv with netflix, bad tv location in room, dirty smelly canal beside Coast restaurant, letting guests use pool with their street clothes on, hawkers on the beach, access road to the property is too narrow, hallways unlit, elevators not cleaned often, only 4 hangers, no microwave, outside food not allowed, tap water not potable and only 1 drinking water station each floor, no hand held shower head and a room safety deposit box that took 3 staff to get it operational.

Very friendly staffs. The day we stayed they had the band and free cocktails. The only downside was the room aircon, not so cold, same as a review I read somewhere. The buffet breakfast was super sulit! The hotel was fully booked and after prodding finally gave in to my request if we can bring the breakfast plate to my daughter in the room who could not go down because she was dizzy and had fever. Value for money. Will definitely go back

Good -Park like setting, pet friendly, many nice pools to use. Couple villa has own little pool surrounded by plants for privacy. Air-conditioned room. Warm shower water, local drinking water provided. Eating area inside room, ref and sink. Gated entry with gate guard. Provided breakfast, portions are local but quite filling. Plenty of onsite parking (watch out for coconuts above car). Golf cart with driver available but the walk is really short and mostly flat. Toothbrush and amenities provided. Ants and bugs are typical so not an issue (bug spray recommended for foreigners). Employees welcoming and very responsive and well groomed. Room service (took for all meals). Bad -lack of food menu in room with room service offered, housekeeping called Butler but not. Provided cell phone with load, load expired initially. Updates every 6 hours to phone via text message. 80% of time housekeeping could not be reached. Menu once either found on web site or brought to door many things not available and size of portion not clear. Food cold sometimes upon delivery and or not taste very good, food service is slow. Bar soap provided is nice but small (cut down from a larger bar). A bit of a drive to anything else nearby and not much else found to do here. Ugly -Breakfast order lost on last day to check out, was placed 6PM in person at door night before. If had not called would not have been provided (since we had pet with us, opted for room service) Housekeeping light not working at front door to make up room. Ref compressor noise. Sometimes arcing / hum noise coming from electrical panel. Expectation of vacationer not in alignment with profit margin site manager is attempting to generate from each stay. You are left with a feeling of overpaying for a level of service that was lacking and this felt in relation to how the business just seems to be run. Arrival was overwhelming (good) but departure needs improvement.

Great place, but located in the middle of no where.

The wifi signal was difficult in the pool area and we had to ask the front desk multiple times to fix the room wifi. The shower water was also very slow. The cafeteria has no onsite waiters, you will have to look for them in order to order. The aircon wasn't cold enough for a room that's for 4 pax so we had to ask for an extra fan in the room. But the pool is good especially if you have kids. The beach area is also clean and not crowded so that's a good point. The food price is also affordable. The location if good for those who have private cars but i'll be quite far for commuters to find places to eat outside of the hotel.
