Perched on a hillside above a secluded Bay on Tortola’s North West coast and situated amongst large boulders and mature trees, is the uniquely idyllic retreat of “Kerensa” The house is built on a private 2 acre estate bordering Mount Healthy National Park. It was carefully designed to have minimal impact on the beautiful natural setting and take full advantage of the stunning panoramic views over the Islands and Bays of the North Shore. Far away from any other houses the only sounds you hear are the waves on the rocks far below.... The original house was severely damaged by category 5 hurricane Irma in September 2017 but has now been completely rebuilt to an even higher standard than before. We took the opportunity to make some major improvements and upgrades creating new spaces and featuring all new high end appliances, equipment and furnishings. The result is an aesthetic and highly individual dwelling that delightfully complements the spectacular location. The house is simple, comfortable and very well equipped with accommodation consisting of one bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen / living room together with a large covered veranda, a brick courtyard and wooden decks around an infinity edge pool and hot-tub area.The bedroom has an elegant and very comfortable king size bed with stylish antique furniture and polished wooden floors. There is also a quiet A/C unit in the bedroom if you prefer to close the doors at night. Adjacent is a bathroom with a Turkish marble sink and a unique, private indoor/outdoor shower area. Fine quality towels and linens are provided. The kitchen / main room is equipped with a professional Viking stove, stainless steel fridge with ice and water dispenser, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, toaster and everything else you might need. There is also new AC installed or you can simply open all the glass doors and let the breezes flow through. Outside there is a Weber gas grill and fireplaceThe recently upgraded audio visual system includes high speed wifi, a Sonos sound system and touchscreen controller with Spotify account for music streaming and the smart TV has Netflix and Hulu accounts as well as several other entertainment servicesOne of the loveliest features of Kerensa is the beautiful infinity edge pool. A salt water chlorine generator system keeps the water crystal clear and gently sanitised without harsh chemicals. Lights in the pool can be controlled remotely and with many colour options depending on your mood. There is also very private hot tub nestled among the boulders with a view across Shark Bay. Surrounded by fairy lights strung in the trees at night, the setting is truly magical.Close by are the world class beaches of Brewers Bay (3 minutes by car) which features an uncrowded half mile of golden sand and superb snorkeling and Cane Garden Bay (10 minutes) with its’ famous beach and plethora of lively bars and restaurants. Just along the coast to the East are two stunning, white sand and very out of the way beaches - Trunk Bay and Rogues Bay, that you can often enjoy just to yourself. Kerensa is centrally situated to explore the island. Roadtown (the capital) is 15 minutes over the hill on the South Shore. Access from the public road is along a short unpaved track (a 4WD vehicle is advisable), once inside Kerensa' s remote-controlled electronic gate the driveway is fully paved. Prettyview Villa is a one bedroom suite perfect for a couple. Prettyview Villa is located on a very private 3/4 acre property nestled in the hillside above Wyndham Resort Lambert Beach sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Beach. It is a short walk to the beach, an amazing and mostly undiscovered powder sand jewel. It is a leatherback turtle nesting site with hatchings each July. Guests will have access to all the Resort facilities and common areas, including the Resort pool, restaurant, clubhouse, tennis court, gym, and spa.Prettyview offers a heated 10' x 20' pool with covered deck space with dining and lounge areas. We based the design and amenities of Prettyview on a five star hotel suite we frequented. The interior is cooled by the trade winds and a large ceiling fan or if you prefer, an air conditioner. You can relax and read your favorite book with a 'painkiller' or watch a movie on Netflix or Roku. The villa has unlimited WIFI streaming and local cable tv. The house design includes a turquoise clad double shower inside the suite with sparkling glass block and a view of the Caribbean. For extra romance and cleanliness, there is also an outside shower with a clearer view of the sea and just enough glass block for prudent privacy. The Villa also includes a wrap around balcony and patio at the living quarters level and a lower level deck for outdoor eating and sunbathing. There is a full indoor kitchen well equipped for all your culinary needs. There is also a full-size washer and dryer for your use. The tropical gardens have been extended and are exquisite. The cupola above the villa offering another lounging area with outstanding views of the ocean.
