Exceeded expectations! For such an affordable price, I felt like I received 5-star service. Breakfast was included and quite satisfying, and the welcome drink was really refreshing after a long trip. I dropped my luggage before check-in, and it was super convenient, I even got early check-in, which allowed me to explore the city right away and save both time and money. After check-out, I also left my luggage at the hotel and enjoyed a nearby café before my departure. So helpful! The facilities were excellent: power outlets conveniently placed for charging, fresh towels and linens replaced daily, complimentary bottled water, and reliable hot water for showers. There’s also a dispenser for hot and cold water refills. The view from my room was a bonus, I could see Tunjungan Plaza right from the window. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Surabaya. Absolutely loved my stay at Amaris Hotel Embong Malang Surabaya. Definitely staying here again!

I stayed here for 1.5 nights before catching a tour, and checking out at 11:30pm was no problem. It's close to some city attractions and shopping malls, although crossing streets on foot in the neighborhood is dangerous and inconvenient. The room was basic but clean. Wifi was strong but air con was too weak. I had to use ear plugs at night, with lots of noisy people in the hallway. Overall, an average experience and appropriate for the price.

MMukhlasinComfortable One-Night Transit Stay – Tilamas Hotel Sidoarjo I stayed one night at Tilamas Hotel, Sidoarjo, as a transit stop close to Juanda Airport, and overall it was a great experience, especially considering the price. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and definitely good value for money. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, with complete amenities, and everything worked properly—including the AC, which cooled the room very well. However, I did notice one spider web inside the cupboard near the mirror, which was a bit disturbing and could easily be improved with more detailed housekeeping checks. I tried the in-room dining service. The food itself was okay, but the taste and portion could be improved, and the waiting time was quite long—around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Personally, I would rather not offer in-room dining if the waiting time is that long. Based on staff information, the service is handled by an external vendor (not a third-party app), which explains the delay. Honestly, using Gojek/GoFood might work better for both guests and the hotel. I also shared photos for reference regarding the salad garnish served with my Nasi Goreng. It looked very unappealing and unpleasant, and honestly, it would have been better to leave the garnish out completely—even rabbits wouldn’t eat it (trust me 🙂). That said, the service really stood out. The Front Desk team were professional, friendly, and welcoming, and the housekeeping staff did a great job overall. Because of that, my one-night transit stay was enjoyable. If the hotel offers a membership or loyalty program, I would love to join—especially if there are special offers or discounts for repeat guests. Hopefully, I’ll be returning again someday.

BberangkatjauhAt the first time, I was trying to stay here cause I just need one night before moving to another hostel since it is afforadble I stay here. I arrived late evening. I was welcomed by Mba Gabriel even she contacted me earlier inform me about the hostel location. I was pragmatismed at the begining cause I thought it's just a normal greetings. But when I arrived it looks like a mom who welcome you back to home. Her sister, Mba Diana is also similar, she welcome me in the afternoon when I came back. I thought she was mba gabriel because I cannot differentiate her and mba Gabriel 😂 Btw I extend here for another 3 nights, because the hostel is very clean, smells good and the bedroom is great. You can experience it later by yourself. I guarantee it. Then after two weeks, I traveled back to Malang and staying here again, I feel I was back home haha. Price is affordable. Service is 5 stars and it is like home ❤️ when I come back to Malang staying here is a must cause you also can discuss with them about many things get direction and advice for food. Thanks mbak gabriel, mba diana and mba lia. I'll see you again

JJescapeIts a very basic hotel. Its good for a night stay and you want to go and travel to bromo itself. But place is very humid which makes the bed VERY humid. However the view outside the hotel is great! Breakfast is nice too. Just a bit of stain on the bed its ok i guess. There are alot of dead flies outside. Idk why /:
