Although the standard twin bed room we occupied is quite small, it is well decorated, has modern furniture and is spotlessly clean. There is a recent shower unit, a TV, a fan, and tea and coffee making facilities. There are twin electrical sockets and 4 USB outlets adjacent to each bed. While the window looks along the coast rather than directly out to sea, the view is very pleasant. The English breakfast was good, and the manager, Adam, very helpful. There is parking on a hard-standing at the side of the hotel. The sea and pier are close by, and the main shopping area is walkable. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot. Two constructive suggestions are (1) a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries which won't stand on top of the curved sink, and (2) provision of a toilet brush.

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Plymouth and had a generally positive experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the city. However, if you're a light sleeper, be aware that rooms on the first floor can be quite noisy due to music from the bars below. If possible, request a higher floor for a quieter stay. Overall, a good option for a short stay in Plymouth.

Opened in 2025, the Travelodge Barnstaple Hotel offers travelers a pleasant stay in North Devon District, whether for business or leisure purposes. The hotel is conveniently located a short 4km drive from Barnstaple. Seeing North Devon District's sights from this hotel is easy with Seaton Artisan Market, Sticklepath Methodist Church and Tarka Trail Cycle Hire all close by. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. When it comes to North Devon District hotels, the Travelodge Barnstaple Hotel is highly regarded for its excellent facilities.

DDebbie AnnWhat can I say, when we turned up the outside had old furniture outside so 1st thoughts was its been refurbished. We were told that we had to move our car from the car park or pay an additional £10 per night, this wasn't in the advert when we booked but suddenly appeared later that evening. It was hard to find parking on the street so had to pay. The facilities were basic. No extra pillows, just 2. Shower over bath, no curtain or mat. Coffee was sparce & uht milk expired but they did give us more when asked. The cups were however odd & looked like has been used by the painters. Area was quite good, near to takeaways etc.
