"Location is great, walkable to shops, trains, parks and attractions. Room is basic and a little noisy/light, good shower/bath area. Some free amenities at front desk and no issue with luggage storage, coin operated laundry worked well. We declined cleaning after the first night as wasn't very well done, however had fresh towels every day"

"It was located walking distance from JR Sendai Station, the area is rather quiet since its at the East area side from the station, the staff were really attentive and helpful, room condition definitely meets every expectation well, especially clean and new. Definitely recommend this hotel without doubt. There is one time we lost a piece of socks from the laundry room, they were able to found it and return it to us. Very grateful to the receptionist and staff(namely加藤) found the lost socks."

"Unexpectedly grand hotel, especially when you first walk in the front entrance. Very traditional hotel with great service, remember to book your free transport to and from the Sendai train station. The hot spring experience is as expected - comfortable, cozy, clean and relaxing. Highly recommended. The included Dinner and breakfast buffets are great and aside from the typical western food, it served up some local delicacies which were really nice and authentic. Highly recommended place for anyone looking at a day or two to unwind and relax."

"It was a perfect stay. Everything including amenities, services, beds, facilities was awesome. Room is very clean and new, employees are so kind. Especially, we had left our belongings in the safe, and realized it after we arrived at tokyo. We made a call to this hotel and the manager handled this situation very professionally! They made a delivery to tokyo, which arrived early in the next morning, so we are now at narita airport without stopping by sendai again!! Definitely willing to stay here again if I have a chance to visit sendai again. Thank you so much!"

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The room was quite spacious. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Sendai next time, and I'll recommend it to friends who need a place to stay. The drip coffee provided by the hotel was also surprisingly good.

A very nice and convenient hotel. About 8 min walk from sendai main station. The hotel entrance along the road can bit a bit of challenge to find but just keep a eye on it. The room is large and spacious by japanese standard. I did not try the breakfast but they provide free starbuck coffee at lounge from 1400 to 2200hrs. Would be good if they can change that hrs to morning onwards. They provide two type of pillows, one hard and one soft..which is good. Thanks for hosting me

The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the station, with a 7-Eleven on the ground floor and the famous gyutan (beef tongue) restaurant right next door. Sendai Asaichi Market is also within easy walking distance, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel's breakfast was exceptional. We happened to visit during Golden Week, and the hotel offered special grilled beef tongue and freshly sliced sashimi on different days, which was a fantastic experience.

Just a few minutes' walk from Hirose-dori subway station, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, surrounded by numerous dining options. Having a convenience store on the ground floor is also a reassuring plus. We stayed in a moderate non-smoking room for two. While the queen-sized bed was comfortable, it felt a bit cramped for two, though it would likely feel quite spacious for a solo traveler. The mattress firmness was just right, and the air purifier was a welcome amenity. The bath area was nicely separated from the toilet, preventing any concerns about water splashing out, and the rain shower was a pleasant feature. The front desk staff were friendly and left a positive impression. One minor point is that the air conditioning throughout the hotel, including the lobby and hallways, felt a bit too strong. The complimentary coffee service in the lobby was a nice touch, but it was a shame that it couldn't be taken back to the room. Overall, it's a clean hotel with excellent service, and we left feeling very satisfied.

A very comfortable stay. The hotel is close to Sendai Station and there are several carparks nearby. It was also very convenient to have a FamilyMart next to the lobby on the ground floor. The laundry area is quite small and would have been nicer if there were more machines available. The dryer was unfortunately not very efficient. Service was great and the hotel was very clean. Rooms were of a good size. Would return.

The location is great, right in a shopping street, about a 15-minute walk from the station. There are plenty of shops nearby, making it very convenient for dining and other needs. The hotel uses a self-service check-in and check-out system at the front desk, and the overall experience was excellent. The room I booked this time was over 30 square meters, which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel and offers great value for money. The facilities are also relatively new. I'm very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance of the station. The surrounding area is also relatively quiet, allowing for a peaceful rest. The hotel facilities are new, and both the public bath and snacks are great. There's even a piano performance in the evening, perfect for relaxing. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit!

Our 8-day stay at Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East was exceptional from start to finish. We booked a Superior Double room, and it felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable—especially for an extended stay. If I had to sum up this hotel in one word, it would be convenience. Its location directly within Sendai Station makes getting around effortless. Trains, buses, and a wide variety of dining options are all just steps away, which made exploring the area incredibly easy. The breakfast selection was generous and satisfying, offering plenty of options to start the day well. What truly stood out, however, was the customer service—consistently attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. We would absolutely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sendai.

The ryokan location is excellent. My room has a huge picture window facing east. I can see the famous bay with its many islands, including the Fukuura island (福浦𡷊), in the morning with wonderful sun rise view. The Japanese breakfasts were excellent especially the one on our second day… fresh grilled fish, etc.. The Kaiseki dinners for both nights were wonderful with fresh grilled fish and high grade wagyu beef plus oyster cooked to perfection. The Onsens on the other hand are just Okay. However with the view of Fukuura island and its red bridge … nice.

Almont Hotel Sendai is a nice accommodation that I would recommend for those visiting Sendai. The location is very convenient with only 5-10 min walking from Sendai station and with Lawson, 7-11, Family mart along the way. The room is not that big but if you arrange your suitcases and stuffs well, it’s quite comfortable for 2 people to stay. Public baths are on 3rd floor (female) and 4th floor (male) with washing machines, ice maker, and drinking water dispenser inside. (It is super convenient to stay on the same floor as public bath!) Breakfast is also a highlight with a variety of foods (mainly Japanese). The hotel staffs are polite and helpful. I would stay here again if I visit Sendai next time.
