Hotéis 2-Star em Sarawak, Malaysia

I honestly didn't expect the bathrooms to be shared, as I thought each room would have its own private bathroom. But it's okay. Thankfully, my family and I were safe throughout our stay here. Although the bathroom are share, the cleanliness is always well maintained. The rubbish bins are also cleaned regularly, so there was no unpleasant smell around the outside of the rooms. I appreciate that. Thank you. However, what was very disappointing was the owner's and way of communicating with guests. On the first day, the fan and light in my room were not functioning properly. I needed to do some office work, but I had to use my phone flashlight because the room light was not working properly. The light was very dim, since the room also had no window, it was quite dark. That morning I called the number that had contacted me before my check-in date. I thought it was the accommodations service number,so I called it directly. However,tthe owner became angry with me. Eventually,I was moved to Room Aiman 2. Unfortunately,there were also some issues with the second room. The floor was wet and the mattress had not yet been properly prepared,perhaps because the previous costumer had just checked out. I contacted the service number through WhatsApp,but there was no response. When I returned night,I called the number directly. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding in the way the information was communicated,and as a costumer,I may also have misunderstood something. I can accept that.However,what really upset me was the owners rude choice of words and the accusation that I did not know how to read. What was even more offensive was the remark, ”Are you Indonesian?Don't you know how to read?”.I am Malaysia ok. That statement was inappropriate and made me feel as though I was being judged based on my nationality. As a business owner,I believe it is important to be careful and respectful when communicating with customers. There was nothing wrong with simply saying, ”Oh,I'm sorry,ma'am. I let my staff come and have a look at it shortly.”A simple and polite response like that would have made a big difference. As customers,we would also leave with a good impression and wish the owner well. I don't travel very often,but whenever I stay in other people's place,I always try to be respectful when dealing with others,whether by phone or face-to-face. This was the first time I experienced this kind of treatment. I hope other customers will not have to experience the same thing. For my next trip,I would not recommend this place. The owner really needs to improve the way they communicate with customers. Having a strategic location is not enough if the communication with customers is rude or disrespectful. Peace, no war. The twin single-bed room has limited space and is suitable for short stays and work-related purposes Internet access is limited, but the hotel provides Wi-Fi...👍🏼👍🏼

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Dormani. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I really liked the layout and the cozy atmosphere, which made it perfect for resting after a long day. The bed was comfortable, and all the in-room amenities were complete and convenient. The hotel facilities were also well-equipped and properly maintained. Everything was easily accessible, and the overall environment was welcoming. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist whenever needed. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose to stay here again when visiting Kuching. Highly recommended!

1. Hard to contact. I tried to call, WhatsApp, email. No response at all or left on read. We just want to know if its possible to drop off bag before check out. I know it's not compulsory service, that's why we want to ask just incase. But since we can't reach them, we can't plan our itinerary properly. After arrive, finally they answer our call and told us we cant drop off our luggage. So we had to wait at nearest cafe from 10am-2pm. If we know we cant drop off bag early, we might rent a car for that day. Then, even at 2pm, we still had hard time to contact them. 2. Usually all details to self check in will be given before check in time. But we had to contact them first for them to give the passcode. Again we stranded outside hotel just waiting but just for few minutes. Even we met other guest who standing infront of hotel at 4-5pm something and ask us how to get the passcode. If that person just waiting until midnight, does the hotel gonna wait too? If you cant be reachable, at least be proactive before check in time. 3. Sound of shower from other room is bearable. But the smell of smoke??? What kind of ventilation system is that I can smell smoke from other room? Since my room doesn't have window, yeah I'm just having hard time to breath while awake and while sudden wake up during sleep.

Everything is fine, comfortable to stay. Just need to repair the toilet door (lock) for the child friendly.

The location is the best being only a walking distance to the Kuching Sentral where all the buses are. All rooms come with ensuite bathrooms which is another plus. Another plus is there are eateries all around with convenience shops. Other than these, everything else leaves much to be desired from toilet roll to cockroaches to banging door to poorly maintained air cond to smells to dustiness; just to name a few. The concept of the inn is meant for very short term stays. You can stay longer but you must arm yourself with sprays of all sorts.

Loved it! The room is not all swanky but it's suitable with AC as we were out and about all the time. Clean room. Comfy bed. From the time we arrived Benarat proved its worth. They came to collect us at the airport, We arrived at the lodge and our itinerary was already planned and  explained to us. Amazing, everything worked like clockwork, Shout out to Anil, the manager. He welcomed us, told us what the next 2 days would involve then we met our guide, the very awesome and great sense of  humor  David the Great. We really loved our two day excursions with him. He not only made the tour informative but fun as well and was an Allstar.. We still think of him with fondness. He made our MuLU experience that much more special. The pool was great after a day of touring the caves. Anil, the manager dropped us back to the airport and made our check in sooo easy. He did all for us. Give the man a raise please. He was amazing and took away the stress of planning because he made sure arrangements were met, when he said the car will collect us at a certain time from the park it arrived EXACTLY on time!!!  we look back on Mulu and the lodge with fondness and great memories. STAY HERE. We will definitely choose it again for the adventure rock climbing tour. David, Anil and the other guides and restaurant staff, thank you for the great memories . 

This hotel is overall fine for a short stay. However, the room was quite small, even for a single traveler. Additionally, some of the facilities are quite dated and could use some renovation.

The room is big enough even for 2 people. You have place to pray and even have the kiblat direction. Just look at the ceiling. Got wardrobe as well to put your bag and stuff. Even dds not put the luggage in the wardrobe, there is still space to do anything. For solo travel like me, it is convenient. No shampoo but not sure if the shower cream is 2in1. Got tv. I hear 1 or 2 times people open the door. Maybe not many people at that time. Do not hear the cars outside. Have coway. Cold and hot. Parking outside is based on 1st come 1st serve basis and need to pay but not sure how much. It is public parking. The towel maybe need changes. It is clean but have the 'bulu2' kat tepi. But overall is nice. Got bidet.
