"O serviço de recepção é excelente, eficiente, cheio de sorrisos, não poderia pedir mais. No entanto, a vista para o mar que recebi era uma que vinha com duas fileiras de sacos de areia e uma ponte de ferro em um trecho de praia sem espreguiçadeiras e definitivamente não é adequado para nadar. O design do chalé é bem antigo, evidente pela fechadura da janela e da porta da varanda. O jantar no Spice Market foi de outro mundo! Deve experimentar! Há dois restaurantes disponíveis para o café da manhã do hotel todas as manhãs e você pode visitar os dois todos os dias. "We had a wonderful time in July. I particularly want to highlight the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. It's so lovely when everyone smiles at you, always and everywhere. The few issues that arose were resolved incredibly quickly. However, there are a few things to consider when planning your trip. A significant plus is the long, expansive beach stretching to the left of the hotel. The beach is quiet and calm. It's not the most popular section of the beach; it's a more secluded part, which was a bonus for us. No hustle and bustle, no crowds. There are several surf schools here because this part of the coast has waves during the season. For us, having surfing available was a fantastic bonus. For 10 days, there wasn't a single day with a calm sea. Every day had waves of varying intensity. Because of this, the water was always (!) murky. In July, the sunset isn't over the sea, but behind a neighboring island, yet it's incredibly beautiful on a clear day. Many families with children stay at the hotel. The main pool is noisy. But a major plus is the 18+ infinity pool on the 5th floor. This is where you'll find relaxation and quiet. My main complaint about the hotel is the constant smell of food from the restaurant in the main pool/beach area, even by the sea. It's a persistent smoky, unpleasant odor of fried oil. This bothered me significantly. The hotel has absolutely no private grounds for walking, just a small lawn near the restaurant and that's it. It's a 5-minute walk to the lively street with amenities. No complaints about the room cleaning; it was spotless every day, and our housekeeper Salim did an excellent job. The breakfast was quite varied, with many Asian dishes and a selection of European options. The yogurts and fruits were delicious, but the pastries were weak and not very tasty. The freshly squeezed juices were great. The coffee was average quality. The hotel also has a premium restaurant, Lancava. It's luxurious. All the dishes were outstanding, and the service was polite, attentive, and pleasant."

"Beautiful beach, friendly staffs. Peace and cozy. We had a wonderful stay at Tanjung Rhu Beach Resort, Langkawi. The staff were extremely friendly and warm — they greeted us every time we crossed paths, which made us feel truly welcomed. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good mix of Western and local options. The kueh teow soup was especially nice, and the champagne was a fun and pleasant touch! We also had dinner at the resort restaurant — the pizza and drinks were delicious. Dining by the beach while watching the sunset, with the cool sea breeze and peaceful atmosphere, was incredibly cozy. The view is simply priceless — something money can’t measure. The location is excellent. At the corner of the resort’s private beach, you can easily find mangrove tour providers. During high tide, boats can even come directly to the beach to pick you up. It’s also just a 5-minute walk to the jetty, where there are more mangrove tour companies. The jetty is also a beautiful spot to catch the sunrise in the morning. The resort offers daily activities as well, which were fun and relaxing. Nature lovers will especially appreciate this place — we spotted a family of dusky leaf monkeys, hornbills, squirrels, and many other birds. It truly feels like a protected natural haven. A perfect retreat for those seeking peace, nature, and a relaxing beachfront experience."

"Took me a while to decide on Four Seasons due to slight put off by the location as it was rather secluded on the other side of the island. (which also meant privacy and peace) But was pleasantly and amazingly surprised by them. Booking via Trip, I didn’t expect that the hotel will reach out to me directly to check about my trip and how they can facilitate my plans better. Having booked over Trip numerous times, this was a first. This is also not my rodeo with 5stars on Trip. I felt valued and felt the sincerity the hotel expressed on how much they welcomed my stay and looking forward to my arrival. I arrived early for check-in and the whole process was swift, personal and made me feel extremely welcomed. Before I even asked, the team checked on my flight details out of Langkawi, and arranged for my late check-out to match my flight out so that I can stay rested and enjoy the resort till my very last moments in Langkawi. It surprised me as it was extremely personal and showed how well the hotel treated each guest and placed their needs at their utmost priority. I honestly didn’t expect their thoughtfulness. A resort tour was then arranged on a buggy to show me around the area and to introduced to me the different restaurants and facilities. And then we were showed to our room. Room was dated and had visible signs of wear and tear but all in all was within expectations. Clean and spacious and had a giant tub which filled up rather quickly despite the sizes. Room was well lighted with generous amount of day light. Having shared with the team that I was celebrating my birthday, they arranged for cake and champagne in my room to welcome me. Their service was consistent and I also received great attitudes at their restaurant, Kelapa Grill which served great seafood. Thank you Four Seasons Langkawi for such a memorable stay. Your service have been impeccable. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and warm hospitality. I will most definitely be back."

"We had a fantastic stay at The Westin Langkawi! The staff were warm, friendly, and always so attentive and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The resort is spotless and beautifully maintained, with comfortable lounge chairs by the pool that are perfect for relaxing. The hotel backs right onto a stunning private beach, offering amazing views across the ocean. We even had some cute monkey visitors around the grounds (they are very friendly too), which made our stay even more memorable! The hotel is a bit further away from the popular tourist places like Pantai Cenang and the north of the island, but there is plenty of taxi service around and at very good rates. I would highly recommend The Westin for anyone visiting Langkawi."

"Such great attitude from the moment you enter until check out. I loved this hotel and actually wish I had come back to spend the rest of my trip here, I am not much of a nature girl, but I needed to relax, so it was pleasant to stay somewhere where gekos can’t get into your room. The room was spacious and elegant, loved the Jo Malone products they smelled good. The bath and shower was clean and this a rare thing to find in Malaysia, I felt so comfortable staying here. The bed soft for a good nights rest after laying in the heat by the pool. I’ve read a lot of reviews complaining about the location, but it was perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of towns. Breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed the music played by the pianist. I also enjoyed the little treats brought pool side for us to enjoy. I read a lot of books and had a lazy time, all the staff was lovely and pleasant. The only downside is that the pool closes at 7 pm, the weather is still hot into the night and a night swim is perfect. The beach is good to swim and perfect sunset pics can be taken on the white sandy beach. It was a lovely stay, thank you for welcoming me as a solo traveler a safe and comfortable resting place."

"Great experience in Datai Langkawi. The best resort hotel in Langkawi or in Malaysia i would say. Nice atmosphere if you like to be in a quiet and serene place. Great food and great hospitality. A special shoutout to Hafizam for the guest attending service and Gaurav from the The Dining. Also to the Botanists Ms Ezy. Will come back for sure!"

"The resort is truly wonderful, spacious, and very tastefully designed. The pools are great, especially the adult pool, which is perfect for relaxing. The selection at the breakfast buffet was sensationally good – a huge compliment to the entire kitchen team. Likewise, all the staff we encountered throughout the day were exceptionally polite and very friendly. However, as frequent travelers, we must note that many small things in this new hotel apparently aren't running smoothly yet, and procedures aren't perfect. Many faucets in the changing rooms and bathrooms don't work properly, toilet doors lack handles to open them outwards, and during rain, many hallways are submerged for hours. The floors in the elevators aren't cleaned, so you stand in the dried juice of a dropped drink for days. The floor in our room wasn't thoroughly cleaned during our 3-day stay, and the most disappointing thing for us was when a maintenance technician, in our absence, fixed the slow-draining shower, then helped himself to our minibar, and disposed of an empty popcorn wrapper in our trash can. Meanwhile, a hardworking gardener, who was busy in the parking lot and then wanted to get water from a refill station, was chased away by a hotel employee. We found this truly inhumane. The hotel manager should work on these issues. Nevertheless, our stay was very nice and relaxing, and we will certainly come back."
