A typical American garden-style hotel with an elegant lobby and a large-scale three-dimensional swimming pool. There are many types of restaurants to choose from, among which Tidepools restaurant has a unique South Island flavor and is worth recommending. Reservations are required in advance. The room is large, but the facilities are too simple. It is best to bring all personal items with you. The overall evaluation is simple and luxurious.

We had a glitch with checking in on arrival but after they sorted this and compensated us for the mess up i couldn't fault this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The position is perfect as are the phenomenal views. We had an ocean view so sat on our balcony every night to watch beautiful Waikiki sunsets We were provided access to the longboard room which provided a great breakfast and in the evenings drinks cheese and dips snacks and pasta the service here was fantastic Amenities are fantastic. Great gym and included yoga and plates sessions. Activities also available but we ran out of time for this I highly recommend this amazing resort

Overall, I'm very satisfied! The room was spacious and bright, the facilities were new, and the hygiene was excellent. The view was amazing! Ala Moana Center is just a 5-minute walk away, offering plenty of shopping and dining options. A stroll along the beach at the waterfront park was also very pleasant. All the staff were nice, until check-out day when a rather overweight female employee provided terrible service. During peak hours, there was only one staff member, so I had to queue. When I saw her arrive, I politely asked if there was a quick check-out option. She responded very impatiently with, ”Just wait,” without a single polite word and maintained a scowl throughout! She's the reason why I'm deducting points for service.

Kona Village is just the best! When we arrived we were taken on a cart tour of the resort by the bellman Shanen, who dropped us off at “Hale 1” - one of only two legacy hales. At our first turndown service, the housekeeping staff left an entire collection of 7 refrigerator magnets. The outstanding service continued at the activity shed Kilo Kai, where one day Cam took us out on a private snorkeling expedition and the next day ‘Pu took me out canoe paddling and set me up on a stand up paddle board. We attended the Island Roots dinner the night of our arrival - the food was excellent and we were all seated at one table so the interactions with the other guests were easy and pleasant. Staff members Jose and Daniela dined with us, as if welcoming us to their home. We were there to celebrate my wife’s milestone birthday, and when we arrived at our room late that night they left a bottle of champagne and mini birthday cake for us. The pools and on site restaurants were great. All around excellent from start to finish.

The balcony view is a huge bonus, facing the beach directly. On Fridays, we could watch the weekly fireworks show from the neighboring Hilton without having to jostle through crowds, making for a very special experience. The room comes with a full kitchen. If you don't want to eat the hotel's buffet breakfast, you can buy ingredients from the ABC Store and prepare simple meals yourself, offering great flexibility, which is perfect for family travel. ⚠️ **Downsides** The check-in process was quite frustrating. During peak hours, the hotel strictly enforces a 4 PM check-in time. After our family arrived, there was no suitable indoor waiting area, so we had to wander around outside in the hot sun to kill time. This was very inconvenient for a family trip. Objectively speaking, while the staff's attitude was good and we received a surprise treat for the anniversary, when compared to similarly priced luxury hotels in Japan and luxury brands of the same caliber domestically, there's still a gap in the overall service completeness and detailed processes. 📝 **Summary** It was an adequate stay for one night. The unbeatable ocean view balcony, the ability to watch fireworks, the Byredo amenities, and the thoughtful anniversary champagne were all highlights. The room type with a kitchen is practical for families. However, the rigid check-in process during busy periods is a clear drawback. If visiting during peak season, be prepared for a late room handover.

During my honeymoon trip with my wife, I stayed on the Club floor, with exclusive check-in on the 8th floor. The service was excellent, and the restaurant downstairs also had a stunning view. It was really a perfect experience.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Waikiki Beach. There are plenty of shops and restaurants right outside, making dining and shopping very convenient. The ocean view is beautiful. However, when I checked in, I found some gray stains and a long hair on the bedsheets. I called and they changed the bedding, but this definitely deserves a negative review.

The view of the hotel facing the sea is very beautiful, and the view of the Makai golf venue next door is also beautiful. The hotel windowsill can look at the sea, and many people surf every morning and evening. Valet parking and resort fees need to be paid to the hotel separately, but are good value for money. The device is indeed out of date, it is still the charger for iphone4, but you can go to the supermarket in Princeville Center to rent a DVD. Soak in the hotel and don't want to go anywhere.

We were upgraded to a suite, and the sofa in the living room pulled out into a comfortable bed, which was perfect for our child. The suite also had a faucet with drinkable hot water, which was incredibly convenient for us Asians who enjoy tea. The hotel offers a free laundry room, making it easy to wash clothes daily, and the housekeeping staff were very efficient. Overall, a very good stay.

Well it’s just time for a renovation at the Grand Wailea. All the little slides to connect each pool are closed. The Grotto spa is closed. Phone in the room didn’t work and keys stopped working on the first day for the door. With that said it’s still a nice place and can still have plenty of fun. If you haven’t been in a year or more, you will probably be disappointed. We normally go every year for at least one day and it’s slowly declining.
