First stay at this new hotel in Ipoh and we are pleasantly surprised by the comfort. Location is walking distance to downtown for lots of great food and souvenir shopping. The bed in the room is great for a goodnight sleep. For hotel of this class we didn’t expect much amenities but surprised that most things are provided for comfort of guest. Even bathrobe! The areas for improvement are: 1. Water leakage from the shower made the toilet floor constantly wet. Design default that I hope can be rectified. 2. Checkout reception was so strict with sop. Late check out. No. Umbrella. No. Everything is a no, don’t think they are properly trained in hospitality management. Management order over guest satisfaction is how they operate. No help with luggage with the guard standing to look on. Not very nice welcome. 3. Housekeeping didn’t clean the room. Had to call at 4pm for cleaning to be done. Reception accused us for putting on the no disturb sign. No apology just mere mention that they will contact housekeeping when we insisted that we switched “please clean room” sign since morning. We met the cleaner who was much nicer than the reception staff. For a no frill stay, this hotel is nice and quiet but some may not like the fact that it’s beside funeral parlour.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient. Highly recommended!

front desk crew need improve PR services. we asking can we cashless payment for the deposit, we do not have cash at that time. the way she answered for the deposit make us feels annoyed.she told us to pay as fast as we can. mcm la kita nak larii😂 dah bayarrr kot nk tdo situ. we came there at night n tired ok. she ok je klu nk explain elok2.

The hotel is in a great location — very central and surrounded by plenty of eateries, making it convenient for meals and exploring the area. The room is clean and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay. The staff are always friendly, smiley, and helpful, which adds a warm touch to the overall experience. One thing to note is that there are only three parking lots reserved for guests. However, there are many pay parking options available nearby, so parking isn’t too much of an issue. Overall, a lovely stay with great service and an excellent location!

The hotel was good and easy access

Cleanliness was okay. But the toilet had a urine smell. The water wasn’t hot, the water pressure was slow. The room wasn’t soundproof, you could hear people talking and walking up the stairs.

Friendly environment, owner took good care of all guests, remembered each one well. Location is within walking distance of eating places. Whole hostel is maintained well by staff, bed is extremely clean. Good place to chill as well after a long walk

O BEST Hostel que tive em minha viagem asiática em 7 países foi excelente. O hotel está localizado num edifício antigo renovado com excelentes detalhes e elementos de decoração curados. Tudo está limpo.Os quartos são confortáveis e as camas são grandes o suficiente para ter o SEU pequeno saco de trás.Há UMA cortina de privacidade e não está cheia.O outro convidado estava muito preocupado com outros. Este hotel é relativamente novo, eles abriram em novembro de 2025, por isso ainda está se tornando conhecido no mundo de viagens. Você pode usar a cozinha que tem todas as aplicações para cozinhar, armazenar itens no frigorífico e preparar um pequeno-almoço com ingredientes que o hotel fornece... grátis, bom pequeno-almoço! Se precisar de UMA toalha, eles te dão uma por agora. A localização é ótima. Você Pode andar para a Cidade antiga e Concubine ln. É UMA caminhada realmente bonita. A parte Da Cidade VIU um passado maravilhoso e OS edifícios mostram-no. Há vários restaurantes, Mesmo alguns alimentos rápidos. Dois coisas que eu iria rever se eu fosse o dono... Eu esperava um Sr antes de chegar a minha sala enquanto outros estavam se assentando imediatamente. Meu quarto tinha apenas 2 pts, a sala estava pronta quando eu cheguei lá. Se você tem uma cama disponível, apenas deixe-a embora não haja tempo.Significa muito para o hóspede que em geral viaja há horas de tempo, especialmente se é um pequeno lugar com poucos. A outra coisa é ensinar-nos (os ocidentais ignorantes), como usar o aquecedor de chuveiro elétrico. Eu não conseguia fazê-lo funcionar porque não conseguia encontrar o botão de desligar/desligar. Um pequeno sinal poderia ter resolvido as frustrações minhas e de outros. Os proprietários estão fazendo um excelente trabalho no hotel.Estou planejando voltar para ser um convidado novamente no Brownstone.

Always our go to option. Cheap with simple and good enough amenities for short stay. The layout option with 2 big beds with a sliding door works well for my parents and I giving enough privacy within the room. The hotel is just 10-15 mins drive to city and very nice dry curry noodle 😀
