The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly, chatty, and made me feel welcomed from the very first moment. The night security guard also deserves special appreciation — he kindly opened the garage gate for me when I returned late at night. It really gave me a sense of comfort and safety, like having my own “gatekeeper.” The property’s location is convenient, and having a private garage is a huge advantage for those driving — no parking worries at all. The room, though in an older building, was kept clean and well-maintained. 👎 Room for Improvement Since the building is older, the soundproofing could be better — it might be a bit noisy for light sleepers as it’s located by the roadside. The bathroom design also needs some improvement. Every shower ended up splashing water all over the floor. Simply adding a sliding door or at least a shower curtain would solve this issue easily. I even found myself wiping and squeezing the floor dry each time to prevent slipping — a small change could make a big difference! It would also be nice if the hotel could provide a few basic amenities such as daily bottled water, tissues, hair conditioner, slippers, and dental kits. 💬 Overall Impression Despite a few minor drawbacks, the service warmth truly stood out. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness made my stay feel cozy, safe, and very welcoming. I would still recommend this place, especially for travelers who value kind service and convenient parking ❤️.

Cheguei em um voo noturno, então este hotel serviu apenas como um lugar para dormir antes de me hospedar em outro. No geral, não tenho muito do que reclamar, já que custou apenas 22 dólares. O quarto tem apenas cama, cofre, ar-condicionado e o banheiro tem dois sabonetes e um pequeno frasco de xampu. Só isso. Os funcionários são simpáticos e atenciosos. A localização é boa, a uma curta distância a pé de atrações turísticas. Se você só precisa de uma cama e um banheiro, este é o lugar certo.

I am very pleased with the service given by the receptionist. They are welcoming and very friendly. They had been going an extra mile for my birthday during the stay and it made my day. 🥰 Thank you so much again for the hospitality and for the upgrade. The room is spacious and have all the basic amenities. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve is adding more variation to their channels on the TV and all the lift need to be available during peak season since it is a hassle to wait for the lift and missed out a few times just because of the lift is full. However I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Penang for all the other reasons ☺️

Since George town isn't big & the tourist spots are near, any hotel in George town will be convience. With Bishop Hotel, you can go to the seaside park, clock tower, Fort Cornwallis and the weld easily. The reception staff is nice & helpful. The room is clean & tidy but I wish for shower curtain/enclosure.

Stayed many times .. pretty sure my review is the same as the others .. Room is what you paid for, its pretty tight but ammenities all around (pool with wembley, restaurants, gym and even a squash court?) The rainfall shower with super hot water is superb And now, they have in house room service with FULL menu (not just 1 piece of black n white A4 listing a few items) as well, which is surprising given that another hotel at a higher tier nearby (5th ..) dont have this ..

Location is perfect—just steps from the main attractions and great restaurants, yet the street itself is quiet at night. The check-in was swift and the staff were wonderfully friendly. Our room was surprisingly spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. For a short city break where you want to be in the heart of the action and rest well, this hotel is an excellent choice. Great value for the prime location and comfort provided.
