The hotel is really well situated, less than 10 minutes from the JR station, and on the same street as the Shrine, so there were lots of places to eat nearby. I stayed in a dorm, which had more people than I expected for a room (I think I saw at least 60 bed/lockers) so it was quite loud even at night as people kept walking in and out. The actual bed was fine, and the people at the front took their time to walk me through what to know for the hostel. The lounge is a little awkwardly partitioned, but at least you get a space to use if you need food.
The dorm itself, I think has a little too many people to be comfortable but is clean enough. The lights never turn off, but because you have a curtain, it blocks out most of it. The largest issue is the noise, since people are coming in and out at random times of the night, and the buttons to open the door are also quite loud when you're trying to sleep. If you want ear plugs, they have them for a fee at the front. Nagano overall was very nice though, and the location made it a lot easier to get around.
The front desk Nepal staff is helpful. It’s quite far from the station. Unfortunately, I came there on a snowy day, and it was terrible to walk to the station. It's an old building and there is no room for nonsmoking and the lobby has a bad smoking smell.
J'ai eu un problème a l'enregistrement et un monsieur est venu régler cela super rapidement !
Espace commun spacieux et pratique, familymart a 5min a pied, chambre convenable.
We loved our stay at Waypoint great property the sauna was outstanding lm, the room was clean & the staff were very lovely & helpful. The check-in process was a little complicated mostly because we had one son that was injured and it was a little time-consuming.
I stayed in the single room with shared bathroom. The room is comfortable but beware that there is no door in the room, just a courtain so it’s very much like sleeping in dorms in terms of noise. They do sell earplugs in the reception. Facilities are clean. Location is great, very close to the station. Good value for price.
It is very close to JR Nagano Station, and it is easy to find with the navigation. The staff are very friendly. Although they don't have Chinese, they can communicate in English without barriers. They also told me how to get to M-wave. Even if you can't check in early, you can store your luggage and help deliver to the room you will prepare afterwards. Drink from the beverage machine in the lobby, thank you, uncle, for teaching me how to use it (laughs). If I booked a room without breakfast, I still gave a breakfast voucher. It is a specialty soba, delicious~
In order to log in worldista Qianqiuchang, it is the first time to brush a new copy of Japan. Nagano was the first stop of the dungeon, and the various friendliness received dispelled the tension in his heart.
The purpose of the trip was to meet up with friends. I booked this hotel because I wanted to stretch out my legs and sleep as a family of three.
The hotel is just a 20-second walk from Komoro Station, and parking is available for free at the affiliated coin parking lot in front of the station. The room window faced the station, so I was able to see it, so there was no need to worry. The room was from the Showa era, but it was clean, had no smell, and the shower had good water pressure and was comfortable. The free coffee was a treat.

Amazing
The ryokan is situated just a few minutes’ walk from Chusha Daimon bus stop and Kuzuryusha Shrine—an ideal location for us as we stayed for two nights and focused on visiting the five shrines and nearby local shops. The ryokan is clean, and the staff are extremely friendly and warm. A few staff members speak basic English, which was helpful. The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were delicious—be sure to arrive with an empty stomach so you can fully enjoy the many courses and variety of dishes. The onsen is cozy and relaxing. Yukata are provided, and the amenities are well stocked, making the stay very comfortable. Nearby, there is a soba noodle shop where we enjoyed a hearty meal and even ordered dessert multiple times while waiting for the snowfall to ease before continuing our shrine walk. Right next to the soba shop is a souvenir store where you can pick up a few mementos to bring home. There is also a shuttle bus available within the Togakushi area, but my brother and I chose to walk while visiting all five shrines, which was a wonderful experience. A truly lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.
It was a good experience. They have a big space. Towels not provided. But from night 10 to morning 10 free cold drink, tea, coffee, water and hot water provided.
Not more than 10-minutes walk away from the Chuo Bus Terminal, and near to the Hikage Gondola station. The Shin-yu onsen is less than 2-min walk further up. It preserved the look and feel of a hotel late 90s - early 2000s. Clean, and tidy with a spacious tatami room. The hostess was very hospitable, and I was shown my room upon arrival at 12pm+, well before the official 3pm check-in time. The heater kept the room warm at 24C. Shared toilet facility. Even though it has its own public bath, clients were encouraged to make use of the free onsen facilities, with small buckets of toiletries placed near the main entrance which can be brought out. I kept my luggage there after checking out in the morning for free. Only came back to collect after my skiing at the end of the day. Be punctual for the breakfast at 730pm if you subscribe to the meal. Well, had a satisfying stay. 😊
I am pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was not too small and bathroom and toilet were separate. At reception I was greeted with a welcome drink and in the first floor there are microwaves and washing machines. Around the hotel are many eateries, shops and supermarkets. You can walk there. The breakfast was enough with quite a bit of choice. I think, the parking runs out fast. So arriving earlier is better.
Good hotel, the owner is very hospitable, on the day of departure he took us to the station. We took with breakfast, the breakfast is tasty and filling. The hotel has a very good location. I recommend
I honestly love how the owners have kept the condition of everything. Food around the area is also delicious. I loved the preparation night before heading up to Murodo. Thank you!
A local gem! This traditional Japanese guest house exudes historical charm, providing a truly immersive experience. The food is exquisite, featuring house grown rice and locally sourced ingredients with authentic flavors that delight the palate. The staff's courteous service makes you feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. There were plenty of amenities as well. A stay here is a beautiful blend of culture, history, and culinary delight. Highly recommended if you pass by the area.
