Welcome to Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Nice hotel with great swimming pool. Hotel is close to the beach, you can walk there very fast. Service was good, friendly and kind staff with great English language skills. My friend and she's family really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Swimming pool, also to childrens pool was very nice size and well maintained, very clean water and surrounding.

Хороший отель, ни чуть не пожалели, что остановились здесь. Вкусные завтраки, вкусные ужины, хороший чистый бассейн и очень приветливый персонал. В комнате пахнет очень вкусно - лемонграсом. Минус комнаты - сильная слышимость. Мы пытались уснуть пораньше, так как предстоял ранний подъем но до 10 вечера слышали, как соседи звенели вилками и болтали, ужиная.
Еще один минус - расположение кондиционера. Он дует прямо на кровать, а одеял в отеле нет, только простыни. С кондиционером холодно, без него - жарко 😁
Но в целом, эти два минуса не перекрыли позитивный настрой, так как отель показался нам очень классным. Отдельный плюс я хочу отметить за книжку с заданиями, которую дали моему сыну. Очень много интересных заданий, которые он выполнял, пока ожидал ужин, или в течение дня.
По прохождении книжки есть подарок - мороженое.
Очень мило.
Кстати, в пяти минутах от отеля чудесный пляж! 🥰 и там почти нет людей.

Estivemos aqui duas noites, a família é muito disponível e cordial. Também fizemos aqui pequeno-almoço, têm um salão comum no chão onde cada quarto/grupo é servido. Os quartos estão em bom estado, mas na limpeza você pode fazer melhor, especialmente no banheiro.

色々とありすぎましたが、総合的にスタッフは皆とても一生懸命で優しくて良い人たちでした！
まず、Trip.comで予約していた4泊分の予約がチェックイン時に予約されていなかった様子。スタッフはたくさんいるのですが英語で問題なく意思疎通できるスタッフが2人くらいしかおらず毎回なかなかその2人に当たらない笑。
バタバタと部屋に案内されるもエアコンのリモコンが見当たらず、ちょうどスタッフがタオルを持ってきてくれて(恐らく急いで提供した部屋だったので準備が完璧ではない部屋だったのかな？)そのタイミングでリモコンをお願いすると比較的すぐ持ってきてくれました。wi-fiパスワードが電話に手書きで書いてあるがかすれて読めずまたスタッフを探して聞く笑。
お湯が出ると思っていたら常温(始めちょっと冷たいけど頑張って浴びているとなぜかだんだんあったかくなってる気がする不思議、でも温度は全く同じだった笑)で水圧もかなり弱い。スタッフにお願いするも温度は恐らくどうにもならない模様。水圧だけでもとお願いしたら少しだけ良くなりました。ただ次の日の夜になるとまた水圧が弱いので4日間毎日シャワー前に水圧を調整してもらうようお願いをしていた。水圧チェックを確かめに来る時にスタッフが靴のままバスマットにのり、水で靴も濡れてる為、バスマットが黒く… 2日連続これをされたので、水圧良くなったのでチェックはも大丈夫ですーとこちらから伝えた。文化の違いかもしれないけどやはりゲストのバスマットが黒くなるのとか気にしないのかな。
Trip.com (***********も同様) に載っていたランドリーサービス、自転車無料貸出、両替などは全てなかったです笑
ロケーションは海の目の前で気持ちいいです。町中までも歩いて10〜20分で着きますが、私は夜の野良犬が怖すぎて(昼は寝ててのんびりしているのに夜はスーパーアクティブ..)毎回トゥクトゥクを使わざるをえなかったです。
ホテル自体は悪くないですが、やはりシャワーだけがどうしても気になりました。あと停電は毎日頻繁におこりました。(特に困りはしなかったですが長い時で数時間笑)
スタッフは本当にみんな問題を解決しようと必死で要望を聞いてくれようとします。とても穏やかでフレンドリーでハニカミ笑顔をいつもしてくれます笑
ただ英語が結構弱いので根気強く伝えるのが必要です。

Отель в общем нам понравился, но соседская собака.. она лает просто так и ночью плохо спит..
В комнате кондиционер и вентилятор. При заезде в номере была вода, но по продлению ее не добавляют. Через трип ком завтраки платные, 1000руп на двоих, нам не понравился первый, больше не просили.
Жить можно)

We absolutely loved our time at the Hideaway! The grounds are incredible with tons of luscious plants that are beautifully maintained. Our cabana was amazing. Spacious, sparkling clean with fun tropical touches like a beautiful handmade quilt on the bed, fresh tropical flowers in the bathroom and main cabana and touches of bright colors throughout. We spent 3 nights at the Hideaway at the end of our trip and truly felt like we were fully able to unwind and relax there. We ate breakfast every day at their amazing café with delicious coffee, fresh juices and smoothies and bomb food (both local and Western options). Their bar has an epic happy hour from 6-8 with yummy BOGO drinks and the restaurant was some of the best food we had during our entire trip. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool on the back of the property and took a yoga class one morning which was quite relaxing. Their service was also impeccable with very helpful staff. We became close with a few of the employees there during our short stay - we loved Mathy and Hetti! Would 100% recommend and stay again!

The Sunstar hotel is very nice and clean, with the pool area. The hotel was about 10 min walk from the stunning Nilaveli beach.
The staff at the Sunstar Hotel were very friendly and accommodating, making sure that all of our needs were met throughout our stay.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Sunstar Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Nilaveli.

ААлександр БабкинPrice-quality is consistent. Cleaning only on request, with no change of clothing. Shampoo and air conditioners are not available, put a small soap. Staff polite and welcoming. There is a parking, in the room air conditioner, wi-fi is weak. In a generally simple and budget hotel, your money is worth. Waiting for super-ordinary, of course, isn't worth.

MMr Adam PorterGreat location just a short walk from the beach. Dennis was our host when we were there and he was absolutely fantastic, recommended good restaurants, helped organise transport, looked after us at breakfast and made you feel extremely welcome. Rooms are certainly ok for the price you’re paying but refurbishment is needed. Showers didn’t seem to have hot water, air conditioning was great though.

GGuest UserMy friend and I stayed here for two days. The service was very good. I bought beef and crab sea shrimp to the kitchen for processing. The staff was still helping. It was very convenient to walk out for less than 3 minutes. It was super beautiful to watch the sunrise and sunset. The hotel environment is also better, clean and hygienic. If you go again, you must choose this one.

EeiriciaoThere were so many things, but overall, all the staff were very hardworking, kind and good people!
First of all, it seems that the reservation for 4 nights that I had made on Trip.com was not made at the time of check-in. There are many staff members, but there are only about two staff members who can communicate in English without any problems, and it was difficult to find them every time lol.
I was hurriedly guided to my room, but I couldn't find the air conditioner remote control, and a staff member just brought me a towel (probably the room was hastily provided, so it was not fully prepared?) When I asked for the remote control at that time, they brought it to me relatively quickly. The wi-fi password was handwritten on the phone, but it was faded and I couldn't read it, so I looked for a staff member again and asked lol.
I thought there would be hot water, but it was room temperature (it was a little cold at first, but if you try hard to take a shower, it feels like it's getting warmer for some reason, but it was exactly the same temperature lol) and the water pressure was quite weak. I asked the staff, but it seems that the temperature probably can't be changed. I asked them for at least the water pressure, and it improved a little. However, the water pressure was weak again the next night, so I asked them to adjust the water pressure every day for four days before taking a shower. When the staff came to check the water pressure, they stood on the bath mat with their shoes on, and the bath mat turned black because the shoes were wet with water... This happened two days in a row, so we told them that the water pressure had improved and it was okay to check it. It may be a cultural difference, but I guess they don't care about guests' bath mats turning black.
The laundry service, free bicycle rental, and currency exchange that were listed on Trip.com (same as ***********) were not available lol
The location is nice, right in front of the sea. It's a 10-20 minute walk to the town, but I was so scared of the stray dogs at night (they sleep and relax during the day, but are super active at night...) that I had to use a tuk-tuk every time.
The hotel itself is not bad, but the shower was the only thing that bothered me. There were also frequent power outages every day. (It wasn't particularly difficult, but it sometimes took several hours lol)
The staff were all really trying to solve the problem and listen to our requests. They were very calm and friendly, and always had a shy smile lol
However, their English was quite weak, so it was necessary to be patient and communicate.

The room has air conditioning and fan. There was water in the room when you checked in, but on extension it is not added. After a trip com breakfast paid, 1000 rupees for two, we didn't like the first, no more asked.

GGuest UserWe were here two nights, the family is very friendly and friendly, we also made breakfast here, have a common lounge on the ground floor where every room/group is served. The rooms are in good condition but you can do better on cleaning, especially in the bathroom.
