"Room was clean and spacious. We requested for smoke-free treatment and the room had no smell of smoke. "The hotel location is strategic; many shops nearby the area. Apart from that, it's newly renovated with a huge size bedroom. It has a comfortable and clean king size bed with toilet, washroom and sink; all separated. We can open 3 pieces of luggage at the same time! Furthermore, it's a modern hotel embedded with robots to control the lighting, curtains, etc... The receptionist even arranges for a robot to deliver us a shower cap and bath towels (very advanced hotel). On the final day, the staff even called didi to fetch us to the airport, complimentary service. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and definitely chose this hotel again if we were to visit Chengde again although the breakfast is not fantastic but it doesn't matter to us. Recommend to stay!"

"Stayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay."

"Love this place ! Stayed 3 separate times. Once last year and twice this year. Nicest hotel so far in china I’ve been to. Honestly can’t beat this hotel for the price. I went before the 7 day holiday and during it. Was way more expensive during it but still amazing Modern, friendly, great bathrooms, customer service and an insane breakfast Wife mentioned we are repeat customers and they gave us free spa coupon which was great."

"Nice stay for 1 night in Chengde. Great service, free parking lots, friendly and helpful staff. Room, very clean, bright with a grand view to the river. Bathroom divided in tube/shower, toilet room and make-up space. Breakfast with a great choice of Chinese food. Just a few things related with international breakfast. The hotel is located not directly to many shops and restaurants. We took a taxi to the recommended restaurants and scenic places."

"Very satisfied. Because it was the off-season, the price was very cheap, making it excellent value for money. The hotel opened in October 2025. The lobby smelled wonderful as soon as you entered. The rooms were large and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. I ran into the same female staff member several times; she was always smiling, which made me feel happy. The breakfast was also quite delicious. There is a large private parking lot, suitable for those driving. Just remember, the road outside the hotel is a one-way street, friends! There's a sign at the parking lot entrance, but I didn't notice and drove the wrong way (⩌ - ⩌ )."

"Went with my wife during the October 7 day holiday . Our normal go to place was the Phoenix hotel that was booked. Place was ok. I say a 3.5/5 Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets. The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be. The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot. Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat. No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it. Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast."

"Hotel is very close to train station but quite far from the city. There are buses from the train ststion to the mountain resort. The room is very clean and with high tech facilities.Robot to deliver requests to the room. With the room rate charged it's very good value."

"酒店位置還可以，距離熱門景點幾公里路程，對面就是僧冠峯，衹可惜冬天好像不開放。而且緊鄰武烈河，在房間便可見河和山，算是山景房，河景房。 酒店附近特別近的飯館不多，有家呷哺呷哺火鍋，還有個生活廣場，裏面有一些小館子。本來還有一個超市，1月4日後搬走了。 酒店門口停車位置挺多，前台做好登記，住宿後停車免費。 酒店房間挺多，畢竟是五星級酒店，服務還是不錯的。酒店裝修雖然有點時間，但並不顯得陳舊。房間收拾得挺乾淨，也沒有異味，隔音效果也還不錯。房間大小還可以，就是老式裝修風格的房間設計的插電口太少，充電時得拔掉枱燈或其他電器。 酒店有餐廳，飯菜味道不錯，就是吃飯還要收取服務費有些不喜歡。 酒店早餐沒有想象得豐盛，本地的特色小吃有點太少，倒是羊雜湯還不錯。 整體住着還不錯。"
