Location is easily accessible. Lots of food varieties and touristy areas being just a stone throw away or a 10mins drive away. Service within the hotel is the best where they start from offering a warm cup of tea upon stepping into the hotel. The staff is a friendly as your personal concierge that look into your daily requirements! From offering different pillow type to sending personalised message card with mini fruit basket. Will definitely stay there again if I visit Chengde!

I don't normally bother to write reviews, but this place is truly deserving of one. Our stay at Anaya was amazing to say the least. The place was so beautiful and serene, rivaling many of the luxury ryokans in Japan but with their own modern twist. We stayed in the queen room, and it’s fairly simple but more than adequate and comfortable. The in-room drinks and snacks were delicious, and they provided an additional special treat each day, which was an experience on its own. There wasn't a television, but we never felt that there was a need for one. It was a place where you can truly focus on unwinding and take things slow, but when needed, the Wi-Fi speed is sufficient for streaming on your own devices. The hotel is unique where you can just do everything within their compounds without needing to travel anywhere else. We really loved the Japanese bookstore, which is a must-visit, and spend some time admiring the garden next to it. They provide activities as well, so you will never feel like there is nothing to do. The spas are also highly recommended, which in fact warrants a trip all on its own even if you do not stay at the hotel. One of the spas is a re-purposed factory, and it's a truly unique experience which will appeal to architecture enthusiasts. Food was a little pricey, but you have a lot of options, and the ones we had were great. They even had their own provision shop for you to stock up on snacks and drinks. One of the main factors that truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service from Zhi Hui. She went above and beyond to share her personal contact in order to make sure we were well taken care of, answering our questions promptly and making arrangements for us. She even followed up with us after our departure to make sure we arrived at our next destination safely. The other staff around the hotel, including the restaurants, were also very friendly and helpful. There was even a sweet young lady selling what they harvested from the mountains as well as small snack stores, one of which was operated by a very friendly lady selling Japanese-style desserts. Our interactions with the people all felt really genuine and sincere. The experience wouldn't have been so wonderful if it weren't for our very pleasant experience with the people working in and around the hotel. They normally use a multi-seater buggy to ferry guests around, but when we were caught in the rain, they actually arranged a car to pick us up instead. Anaya Lanya Hotel is simply extraordinary, and we cannot recommend it enough.

Love this place ! Stayed 3 separate times. Once last year and twice this year. Nicest hotel so far in china I’ve been to. Honestly can’t beat this hotel for the price. I went before the 7 day holiday and during it. Was way more expensive during it but still amazing Modern, friendly, great bathrooms, customer service and an insane breakfast Wife mentioned we are repeat customers and they gave us free spa coupon which was great.

We love this hotel. Staff were friendly and this lady: 阳阳晓明 was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips and suggestions on where to go. If you need help when booking this place, just add her. She will translate the messages you send ber using her wechat's translation app. On our first evening here we crossed the road outside the hotel and had a lovely time exploring. Went with my wife during the October 7 day holiday . Our normal go to place was the Phoenix hotel that was booked. Place was ok. I say a 3.5/5 Service was good they told us about some tours they offer discounts on and a cool show about an emperor that has like 300 actors in it. Was cheaper than just buying it at the location I booked this because my wife said it was more “central” it was not. Kind of in the middle of nowhere tho near a temple we did visit. The other hotels are near the river and you can walk and see some real nice bridges and lighted up streets. The photos make the building look really cool. While the photos aren’t fake it’s way smaller than I thought it would be. The room itself was kind of small. Like half the size of the phoenix hotel and is only 4 floors so not much of a view. Mine was of a parking lot. Bathroom was nice the toilet was automatic and had a heated seat. No breakfast. Bed wasn’t all that comfortable and not much of a view. Did have a shopping center next door and taxis stopped near it. Kind of pricey but that was because of the 7 day holiday they had. I stayed at phoenix the week before and it was 200 rnb cheaper, nicer, more modern, twice the size, nicer shampoo/soap and had free breakfast.

Provavelmente o meu hotel favorito de viagem, era a baixa temporada e o hotel estava bastante vazio com a abundância de pessoal, pelo que o serviço era excelente.Era limpo e eles até tinham sopa de dessert com prazer na noite. Stayed over for one night at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel at Chengde. The entrance to the hotel was congested with cars. The parking attendance in front of the hotel wasn't really helpful when my driver dropped us off to check in to the hotel. What he cares was just faster unload and removed the car form that area. He offered no help at all. I was not sure if the parking attendance was employed by the Hilton hotel. If yes then the service was really not up par with the Hilton standard for customer service standard. We carried one large luggages and few smaller bags. We have to carry it over few flights of stairs to get in to the hotel entrance. The sliding path to get into the hotel entrance was not located in front of the hotel entrance but was hidden at the side that was obscured or partially blocked by the parking car at the front. The reception lady was very friendly though. We were given high floor and she scanned my WeChat to easy contact with the hotel later. The hotel room was very spacious and beautiful but the room was stuffy. Only one tiny small window was able to open a little bit to let the outside air go in. The afternoon temperature was as high as 25 degrees Celcius and rather HOT inside the room. We cannot adjust the aircon in the room as it is central setting! Called to the reception to ask why the room air con can't be adjusted and it seems not working but was told it is central setting. Well, you paid a lots to stay at the hotel without proper ventilation but to rely on the outside air to go in the tiny window. Despite the hotel facility was complete but we still cannot really enjoy and sleep comfortably as we felt HOT. The hotel separates the bathroom from toilet. The washing basin was outside of the bathroom. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. After checking out, I realised I might have left my traveller adaptor in the room. Immediately Isent a text to the hotel via WeChat but to my disappointment, it took two days for them to reply my message asking me to self contact the front desk counter to ask yourself?! What kind of service of that??? Asking hotel guest to add them on WeChat but still asking us to self call the front desk? Not all tourists will have local Sim card to make phone call. That is really a disappointment. They should have offered a better service by checking with the front desk counter and then get back to us via WeChat. This Hilton is definitely still a long way to go to achieve better rating. The hotel is closed to q night market that offers lots of street foods. There was one food stall that offer very palatable Chu Cheong fun. The experience was not pleasant for my one night stay.

A nice hotel with a great location near the Jinshanlin mid-gate. From the hotel, we took two long and beautiful 10km walks along the Great Wall. The room we stayed in for two nights was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent. It's a large hotel, and unfortunately, there were few other guests. The private car transfer to Beijing, which we arranged through reception for an agreed-upon price, ultimately wasn't handled well and caused us considerable frustration. After leaving, it turned out the driver wasn't allowed to enter Beijing's inner ring road with his car, and shortly afterward, he suddenly asked for a higher price for the ride.
