"Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out."

"I really enjoyed the food, breakfast, sedap and satisfying. Love that there’s a swimming pool and gym to chill and stay active. The room also comes with a bathtub, which makes it even better for relaxing after a long day. Definitely worth it!"

"Ants on bed,dining table even sofa. Aircon spoil in bedroom,have to sleep without Aircon,lucky only 1 night.At the start when I first went in,all plugs and Aircon are not usuable,have to own self do the DC box,DC box for their electric is trip.After turning on,air in bedroom spoil.Not a good experience"

"Price tag is worth a thousand smiles😃 Love the location. Just a 2-3mins walk from the JB CIQ if travelling via the shuttle train from SG. Sandwiched between 2 malls is definitely worth the price. Polite, helpful and cheerful staff across the board. Checking in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was awesome. Waffles and pancakes for the little ones. Chicken and tomyum soup station was a hit. Asian cuisines comprising of nasi lemak, prata, soy milk with you tiao, beancurd station too. There's salad bar, American breakfast stations and cereals. They also have freshly squeezed healthy juice to perk your morning. The latest station added was the chee cheong station. Simply loved the texture of the chee cheong fun. Can be eaten either with sweet sauce or nyonya curry👍🏽 Teh Tarik station was a pleasant surprise 😍"
