Onapua Bay is a totally secluded, private bay in Tory Channel, Marlborough Sounds.This is a much loved and enjoyed Family Holiday Home, this home has a beautiful view from the Kitchen/Lounge, with a perfect flat grassed area to relax and lounge out the front when the weather is calm and clear. Out the back is a decking area + covered outdoor Living/BBQ area out the back that provides a sheltered outdoor area . You can sit out the front & watch the Kids play and fish on the recently refurbished Warf & Floating Jetty.The house offers a a functional Kitchen with Gas Hobs/Oven a Family sized Fridge/Freezer & plenty of quality cooking equipment. But being an Off The Grid property there is no microwave. All power is from Solar Panels & Battery system.Fresh drinking water is via a spring fed creek witch is run thru filters and UV sterilized.The Main house can easily sleep 4+ adults, and the sleepout will sleep 4 people.There is no light pollution so you can enjoy the magnificent night sky above you and on some nights the magical star reflection in the sea too.Water Taxis are available to take you to and from the bay (30 minutes) and bring in regular supplies of fresh food. The supermarket and other shops in Picton will package and deliver your food to the water taxis. This is an original family-owned 1970s beachfront property in Ngakuta Bay. It is 15 minutes drive from Picton around Queen Charlotte Drive. NOTE: we provide a traditional Kiwi bach experience. This means the property is not serviced between guest stays. You are expected to: Vacuum, mop and wipe any marks you have made, Do the dishes and tidy surfaces before you leave,Bring all your own linen; towels, sheets, tea towels etc,Take away any rubbish with you as there is no collection serviceKorora Cottage offers amazing views of tranquil Ngakuta Bay. The water is calm for safe swimming and water sports. It is wonderful place to unwind. The bach is close to the foreshore where you will find walking and biking tracks and many other places you can explore.There is a public boat ramp in the bay to allow you to explore and/or fish the waterways of Queen Charlotte Sound. Escape to paradise for a relaxing family holiday at The Pines in Endeavour Inlet. Enjoy tranquil and expansive views of Endeavour Inlet in a private setting with all day sun surrounded by native bush and birds.The house is a mid-eighties style Kiwi bach. Its spacious, sunny, open plan with a high stud, internal mezzanine floor and large, gated deck ideal for barbecues and young children. Wifi is provided free of charge. There is a heat pump (7kw) to keep you warm and toasty on cooler days. Access is by boat only with a regular water taxi service from Picton. A 3tonne mooring is also available for boats up to 10 metres (30 feet) in length. The house is close to the Queen Charlotte Track. It is a short walk up to the house from the jetty (about 100-150 metres) via a well-used public quad bike access road. This is stoney and steepish in sections, but there is a gentler bush track beside it for walkers to use. There is lots to keep you entertained - the house is near the beach and internationally famous Queen Charlotte track with its variety of day, overnight and shorter walks. It takes only takes about 25 minutes through the renowned Howden's Bush to walk to Furneaux Lodge for coffee or a meal or alternatively take a water taxi across to Punga Cove for pizza! There is great fishing with abundant blue cod and gurnard in the area. Alternatively take a trip to the native bird sanctuary on Motuara Island to view saddlebacks, kakariki and South Island robins in their natural habitat. Equally you may just enjoy relaxing with a good book. Extras: Linen is included, beds are made up for your arrival. and there isn't a cleaning fee. Given no additional cleaning fee is charged you are asked to leave the house clean and tidy and to do the dishes before you leave.
