"The management needs improvement. Even the simplest check-in process can go wrong. Our two-night stay was reduced to one night, and we were even called and asked why we didn’t check out on time. We explained the situation to the hotel management, but they never called us back. After that, We were so nervous that we thought the hotel had thrown our things out, so we rushed back to the hotel to deal with it. They didn’t even an apology."

"Always a good time at Sheraton. This time I had the time to use the gym, tho small it has enough threadmills. Swimming pool is lovely in the evening too."

"Refurbish and now VOCO. Filter water installed. Bed too soft not suitable for tall guest. Aircond blower too loud! Asked for bath towel 4 times before they could deliver. Hotel crew not very attentive rather just toooo slow. House keeper throw my skin care & body lotion (sachets) that kept inside the washroom. Burnt roti canai served in breakfast. Despite multiple times of complaint, no solution were given. Prepay online and no approval granted for early check out. I've to bare it 2 nights. Hardly any sleep. I ended up getting myself ear plug. Not a pleasant stay. Location, cleanliness and generally ok. Ways to improve"

"Check in was late and I had to wait for a few hours. It was raining and i wanted to walk around the area but my request for an umbrella was not met. Breakfast was also a bit chaotic due to limited space. Selection was limited too."

"Staff were attentive and friendly, and they even had a Cultural Appreciation Night, sharing about the local culture and tribes. Hotel location were a short 5 mins drive away from Mulu National Park, and the property offers shuttle services. Sometimes you gotta wait a little during peak (noon and evening), and you can call the hotel or get the park security to holler the hotel to come pick you. Food is great at the hotel, and the rooms are clean. TV reception might be weak as expected cos we are in the near the mountains but everything else is great! Would stay at Marriott again when we visit Mulu in the future!"

"The children’s pool with slides requires better maintenance, as insects were present. Parking is located quite far from the main area; however, buggy services are available and helpful. All staff members were very friendly, attentive, and supportive throughout our stay. The room was spacious. Although we did not receive a full sea view—only a partial one—the scenery was still stunning. The ambience of the resort is very refreshing, with high ceilings and a breezy environment that creates a relaxing atmosphere. There are many activities available, and the resort is within walking distance to a beautiful beach. Swimming is not very suitable due to strong tides, but the soft sand makes it ideal for children to play. There are two large pools: one specifically designed for children with slides, and another main pool where mini kayaks and floating flamingos are available for rent. The kids’ activity area is very creative, with games such as dam ular and various board games. The breakfast buffet offered a good range of choices, although I had a better dining experience during a previous visit for work purposes. Unfortunately, room service dining was not satisfactory—the fries were soggy, the fried rice was overly oily, and the carbonara was average. There was also some confusion regarding a 20% insider discount, as we were initially informed it was applicable, but later told that the discount was only valid at Horizon Café not in room service. They should explain better :( Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and with some improvements—particularly in maintenance and food quality—it could be an even better experience."
