"The room location is actually okay, but I’m giving them fewer stars because the check-in instruction is misleading. when I booked there was an instruction saying that check-in the different place so I went to that place and apparently it’s wrong. So I called them and asked where exactly is the check-in place the person who answered just answered “at the counter” and I said I can’t find it. She then told me where it is and I realized it’s actually at the address that is shown in the booking confirmation that the property said NOT TO GO TO CHECK-IN. So please take note if you book with them, ignore the instruction that says you need to check in at the different place, just go directly to the address shown in the booking confirmation."

"Location 10/10, it was really close to both railway and metro station. It's my first time staying in an Inn style hotel, I was amazed how a hotel has many doors of rooms, hallway is endless, if you don't follow the direction you will get lost. The room did smell a bit of smoke, but it was still manageable as long as the air con is turned on the smell is gone then it comes back once off. The bedding is clean, comfy and firm. It's only a bit dirty via stain, but nothing was dusty to my experience. I got an upgrade to a window room upon arrival so that was nice. Conclusion: I would stay here again if it's another short visit. Super close to the Century Clock Tower, the city is walkable and many people ride bikes."

"On the positive side, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to check in early at 12 PM, which was a huge plus after a long journey, and let us leave our luggage with them beforehand. We also appreciated the complimentary toiletries (toothbrush, comb, and razor) provided upon request. The building itself looks modern and well-kept from the outside. However, there were some notable downsides. The room wasn't as clean as we would have hoped; it was acceptable but certainly not spotless. Furthermore, the view from our window was just a blank wall. We considered upgrading, but we saw that the rooms with a ”street view” only had a very small window with a grid, making the upgrade seem not worth the extra cost. In conclusion, it's a decent budget-friendly option for a short stay if you value a good location and helpful staff over luxury and views. But if you're looking for a very clean room or a pleasant view, you might want to look elsewhere."

GGuest UserI stayed here for one night while driving during the Chinese New Year. The hotel facilities are pretty good, clean and smell-free, and the bed in the standard room is also very big, with a bed of 1.35 meters. The transportation is convenient, just off the highway.

GGuest UserEN The hotel is quite clean. The room is decently sized but it might feel small in some corners. It had a nice desk area and little seats. There isn't much to complain about. It's located pretty close to a nearby metro station which was somewhat helpful for my commute. A lot of touristic locations are a bit further from this place so it's a good option if you prefer something quieter in a more local neighborhood. The staff at this hotel were extremely helpful! Even though I could not speak Chinese, they were very willing to help me with my needs. I had even dropped a personal item near the hotel area while rushing for my taxi. They even walked around the corner and picked up my item which I was able to later courier to the next city I was visiting! The rooms do feel smoke-free. But the people in the same floor might still smoke and the hallways may have an ashy smell. The shower area was a bit small but still clean. Decent deal for the price and the location. I recommend it for people traveling solo, in small groups, and/or at a budget. The room was exceptionally clean, and the sheets and towels were spotless, looking brand new. The bed was soft and comfortable, and with excellent soundproofing, I had a very peaceful night's sleep. I got a really good price for the room, so I wasn’t expecting too much — but it turned out to be totally worth it. The room was comfortable, clean, and just really nice to stay in for a few days. The best part was the town view from the 10th floor. I didn’t think it would matter that much, but it actually did. Seeing the city from above — especially at night with all the lights felt really calming. Location-wise, super convenient. It’s near restaurants and a mall, which helped a lot. I stayed during Chinese New Year, and since many shops were closed, I was worried it’d be hard to find food. But nope — I could still easily grab meals and go places without any stress. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid choice if you want good value, a nice view, and easy access to everything.

GGuest UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is superb, very close to the subway station and popular shopping areas, making getting around incredibly convenient. As soon as you enter the lobby, you can feel the abundant style; the environment is elegant and spotless. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful, making the check-in process efficient and quick, and even thoughtfully introduced local restaurants and attractions. The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The soundproofing was also excellent; I couldn't hear any noise from the hallway at all. Whether for a business trip or a leisure vacation, this is an excellent choice. GGuest UserI used to be stuck on my phone every night when I stayed at hotels, but this time at Shangshe, the experience was elevated! The public area's audio-visual room has a huge screen and fantastic sound. Plus, the butler organized movie nights, and the dark, industrial-themed environment was incredibly immersive. I even swapped a Tianjin Eye fridge magnet for a vintage license plate at the magnet exchange – those little touches really appeal to collectors like me! The room itself maintained the signature rugged industrial style, but the soft bedding was a delightful contrast. It’s just a few minutes' walk from Tianjin Station, so transport is no problem at all. For less than 100 per person, to get this kind of atmosphere, it's definitely great value for money.
