A localização do hotel é boa, é Mais conveniente para o Downtown e a escola.
O quarto é amplo e limpo, MAS o som do ar condicionado é um pouco barulhento.
Não há muitas variedades de pequeno-almoço.
A recepção e o empregado são amigáveis. A aposta é feita no dia seguinte, não todos OS dias.

Esta é a segunda estadia neste hotel, ambas as vezes a piscina tem sido demasiado fria para usar.. Este hotel não tem um tubo quente como anúncio ...o piso de banheiro era sticky e quando limpado toalha se tornou escuro do piso sujo ...

GGuest UserWe booked this hotel on-line and I was beyond pleased with our room and the hotel. I called to get a room by end of hallway due to TKR surgery and service dog to go out. They made sure we had just what I needed. The room was exceptionally clean (and I was Head Housekeeper @ HIE so I like things clean and very maintained. The condition of hotel is great and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and we had a variety of things from waffles to hot food to cereal, fruit, etc. The pool was heated, which made for relaxing swims and the hot tub was nice and hot, like a hot tub should be. Trust me, we've stayed at so many that they're barely luke warm and it's not worth it. They take pride in the upkeep, cleanliness and care of the pool area as well as the hotel itself. We wanted to stay an extra night and the owner personally booked it and gave us a wonderful deal, and he even let me grab a bowl of cereal to take my meds with. The hotel is in a wonderful location with Hy-vee, Fareway, Dollar General, Walmart, Mc.D's, and other food places close by as well as gas stations. Lastly, I'd like to add that I was very happy with the safety of the hotel. Being in a safe place knowing that I don't have to worry about my vehicle or taking my dog out at night is one of my highest priorities. So, if you find yourself needing a place around the Des Moines area, go the little extra and stay in Grimes @ the Red Lion. You won't be disappointed!

I have had an excellent 3-day stay at this hotel. The beds are comfortable, towels are thick and room is nicely updated, quiet and clean. Totally love the telescoping magnifying mirror on the wall and I really appreciate having a cover on the toilet. (Some places don’t have that anymore. 😱) Breakfast had many choices: awesome waffles, fruit, whipped cream, cereal, bagels and cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, and alternating hot egg and sausage choices, and daily biscuits and gravy (highly recommended). The pool area is small but functional.The hot tub was in working order and the water temperature was good. (I personally like it a little hotter, but that’s just me.) Just ask if you want the lights turned on while you’re in there. I had no problem checking in and staff was very helpful throughout my stay. A previous reviewer had showed concern about the fire doors not being closed at all times, however, they are magnetic and will automatically close in the case of a fire, so no worries there. Location is convenient to a major arterial and interstate and I had no problems finding the hotel. Close to many popular locations. Thanks for a great stay at a reasonable price.

GGuest UserI had called a week earlier to request 1st floor since I am claustrophobic & can’t do elevators & when I checked in they gave me a 2nd floor room but when asked they switched me to a 1st floor room. The 1st room the TV did not work but the 2nd room the TV worked but the garbage can was half full if garbage & the lights on each side of the bathroom mirror just flickered & would not come on. The thermostat is very confusing & hard to figure out & we had the front desk guy come to room but it didn’t help so they need to figure that out or put instructions next to thermostat to explain how to use. It shouldn’t be as difficult as it was. We couldn’t figure out if the cool or heat was on. The room was chilly & we couldn’t get it warmed up. The next morning I went out to breakfast & came back to my room to get my things at 10:30 & was locked out so I had to go to front desk & waited 6 minutes for someone so they could fix my key to get back in room to get my things & check out. The hotel is beautiful & very clean. I am pretty sure I won’t go back to this hotel for awhile.

LLyle DobrowskiEvery thing was good but had a problem with paper coffee cups with the company name on it that leak and empty the coffee everywhere including myself . Then it happened again with the second one . So I complained to the desk and the manager said They had to use them because of their franchise contract and he knew about the problem. So that’s stupid. Hope the company reads this and corrects it The management should have taken action immediately. If I would have gotten burned this would be a different thing. Lawyers would be called and money would be paid. Fix the problem.

Very convenient location, just 1.5 from the airport and the rental car return. I wasn't able to evaluate the breakfast because my flight was very early, but I could see the preparation of it, and it looked nice. TV in the room has youtube,which is great to sign to your account and watch your favorite videos. It was a bit hot outside the room, and the hotel smelled like a barn, but the room was cleean and smelled better. There is a gas station with a big store right at the hotel location where you can fuel your rental before the return as well as get food and drink

GGuest UserWhile the hotel itself was very clean, comfortable beds, and located centrally, there were major issues with their plumbing and the toilets were not working. We couldn’t use our own bathroom we had to dress and walk down the hall to the lobby bathroom. Extremely inconvenient. They did have plumbers come in and we were not the only ones that had the issues as several others had complained. Other than that, the hotel itself was very nice, the beds were super comfortable and the staff was very nice.

GGuest UserWe had an issue with our toilet leaking and they happily let us change to another room. Then we realized that night when preparing for bed that my husband forgot his sleep shorts in the old room. The next morning he saw a cleaning woman and she gladly let him back into the old room to retrieve the shorts! Always a friendly staff and enjoy meeting new people in the pool and hottub. Love the breakfast and the attached restaurant!

GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed at Drury Inn in Des Moines for one night. The hotel was awesome and everything about it was what we hope for in a hotel stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The hotel staff were kind, courteous, and helpful. Even though we did not use it we also received a drink card for three free drinks each. There was also free hot popcorn available for part of our stay as well.
