Recently stayed at The Cove Hillside in Ipoh, Perak, and it was an exceptional experience. If you're looking for a peaceful, luxurious stay with a stunning natural backdrop, this is the place to be. The apartment complex is situated on a beautiful hillside, offering panoramic views of Ipoh’s lush greenery and limestone hills. Apartment Features: The apartment I stayed in was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It had an open-concept layout that combined a comfortable living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy dining nook. The kitchen had all the essentials—fridge, stove, microwave, and even a washing machine, making it perfect for longer stays. The living room had a large flat-screen TV and comfy seating, creating a great space for relaxation. The bedroom was cozy with a large, comfortable bed, and the bathroom had a clean, modern feel with a spacious shower and high-quality amenities. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially with Ipoh’s warm weather. Service: While staying at The Cove Hillside, I felt like I had the best of both worlds—privacy and comfort, but with access to excellent service. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering quick check-in/check-out and always willing to help with any requests. Housekeeping was efficient, keeping the apartment spotless during my stay. They also provided helpful information on local attractions, making it easy to explore the area. Amenities: One of the standout features of The Cove Hillside is the range of amenities. The infinity pool is absolutely breathtaking, offering sweeping views of the surrounding hills. It’s the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. The fitness center is well-equipped with modern machines and free weights, great for staying in shape. There’s also a barbecue area that can be reserved for gatherings, which adds a nice touch for family or group stays. Plus, the complex is gated with 24-hour security, so I felt very safe and secure throughout my stay.

So the hotel was pretty good. Check in was smooth. The room was clean. They cleaned the room daily and refresh water bottles. No complaints. The surrounding area was a bit quiet. But it’s cozy. There’s a nice French restaurant downstairs. It not very high end but it works for a few nights stay. Love that it was near task cermin.

I recently stayed at Regalodge Hotel in Ipoh during my trip back home from a week-long vacation in Penang. We decided to stop in Ipoh to rest and explore the city since I had never taken my kids there before. After a bit of searching, I came across Regalodge, which offered a very reasonable price for a room with a bathtub. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Ipoh, close to many popular points of interest like Concubine Lane and more. The room was comfortable, and it included breakfast, which was surprisingly good. We also decided to try food from their restaurant, The Limestone, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, and the prices were unbeatable—where else can you get a tasty nasi goreng for under RM10? One of the standout features of the hotel is the free parking with a security guard present, ensuring peace of mind. They also have a charging station for electric vehicles, which is a great bonus. While the hotel isn't exactly luxurious, given the affordable price, it definitely exceeded expectations. What impressed me most, though, was the room itself. I've stayed at numerous hotels, but this was the first time I encountered a treadmill in the room! It was a nice touch for those who want to stay active while traveling. Overall, Regalodge provided great value for money, and I would definitely return if I need a place to stay in Ipoh again. Highly recommended!

Provide a good experience for tired business traveler like me, with exceptional service and a warm, welcoming greeting from the hotel staffs. The surrounding area is lively, offering a wide variety of food options. One area for improvement would be the sound insulation on the lower floors, as traffic noise can be heard late at night. Keep up the good work!

+ great location, very close to downtown, train station, gerbang malam, many shops and restaurants at a walking distance. The staff is just great, always ready to help. WiFi is ok, hot water, hair drier, water dispenser on each floor. Aircon is old, but works ok. - clearly can improve cleaness, the dust is everywhere. Window is dirty too. The bedsheets can be improved too, some had stains and small holes.

Nice and cozy place..friendly staff..simple and fast procedure during check in & check out..delicious food served during breakfast and dinner..this hotel near Taman Tasik & Taiping Zoo (tourist attraction) and also restaurants..more over, it have a non smoking policy and will give more convenient from the smoke or smell..have a pool that suitable for kids and you will be able to see Bukit Larut, trees and also Lutong (one of many type monkeys) near the area.

The location is strategic, betul2 dekat tengah pekan Ipoh. Can walk about 5 mins to concubine lane and less than 30 mins to other attractions (uptown, tasik cermin & kek long temple) with car. No people at the counter after 10pm i think? However the hotel is not that soundproof, can hear people open/close the door, the sound of cars outside and music from the cafe across the street. Lighting bilik quite dull tp boleh bukak langsir. Klu nak iron ada dekat certain level. Overall okay 👍

We stayed at this hotel on the eve of the Chinese New Year, choosing a beach location near Kuala Lumpur. Pros: The best beach on the island (Coral Beach) is a couple of minutes walk. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. There is no special exotic atmosphere in the hotel, but it is cozy and quiet. The room is spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. The equipment is a little tired, but the staff responds promptly. The sockets are UK, but you can get an adapter from reception. The contingent of guests is pleasant, mostly family and not noisy. There are many seafood cafes nearby, the food is delicious and inexpensive. Flaws: Breakfast is very poor and boring. There is a choice of 4 sets + salad bar. Although the location of the hotel is not bad, you will have to take a taxi to get to the exchange office and the pharmacy. The selection in nearby shops is poor. In duty free there is only chocolate. It is almost impossible to buy fruit, and those that are sold are absolutely tasteless. Adviсe: Do not book on weekends - crowds of locals. Monkeys come to the hotel, so nothing can be left unattended on the balcony or in the pool. If you like to drink, it’s better to take a bottle of wine, whiskey, etc. with you. You can't buy anything on the island except beer. The sea is warm and calm, but there are strong low tides that go far. Something is constantly biting in the water, either melusa larvae or plankton - we still don’t understand.

Everyone was very friendly and exceptional hospitality by the team. Will definitely recommend to our white people guests as we're also in the tourism industry in Penang. Except for the dining Sidai restaurant service staff, bad attitude and even giving faces when chef kitchen asked them to prepare things missing. My husband is a hotel chef for 10 years so he knows how to operate a 5 star hotel. Didn't keep baby chair clean too, full of dirt (serious not like some dirt). Should be in SOP to wipe everyday, but luckily service crew help me wipe upon asking. Spot another couple brought baby too and they wipe themselves while GM kutuk them then they still watching customer wipe themselves without go in front and said I help to wipe, so hilarious 😆You're charging a lot for this resort, so I expect at least 4 star service. Room cleanliness can be improved, especially bathroom. Dirt marks between tiles can be easily fixed by just putting tile grout then problem fixed. Room photo is different from the one listed on Agoda and Trip.com so there's a expectation vs reality scenario but I am okay with a smaller room, just that maybe others won't be happy.
