"If you’re a foreigner traveling to Chengde, I would totally recommend that you stay at this hotel! The location is great! It’s close to three temples - Puning Temple, Waiba Temple and Putuo Temple. Also, it’s a 15 min walk to the Chengde Museum. By car, it’s about 8 minutes to the Summer Resort (or a 50-minute walk if you like walking 😄). People are friendly and nice at the hotel. They spoke to me in Chinese, but because I speak Chinese. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a lovely stay, helping me with delivery and buying tickets for the Kangxi Ceremony. If I go again, I’ll definitely stay there again. 谢谢！"

"We love this hotel. Staff were friendly and this lady: 阳阳晓明 was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips and suggestions on where to go. If you need help when booking this place, just add her. She will translate the messages you send ber using her wechat's translation app. On our first evening here we crossed the road outside the hotel and had a lovely time exploring. "If you want a getaway from beijing heat, this place is really close and easy to get access to, stuff is really friendly and this place looks like a heaven. The whole stuff did their best to make my stay cery comfortable, offered some free cocktails, even took me back to the train station because I left very late. Views are amazing, in the evening it’s chill, overall , I had really amazing and relaxing 2 days at this place."

"Brilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices"

"Very helpful front desk, especially Ms Sun who helped with our luggages as there is no lift connection between the ground floor reception and the first floor.  Bathroom layout is not optimal as there is no space beside basin to put your stuffs.  Overall very value for money stay."

"The sanitary environment is very good, the bed is soft and comfortable to lie on and relax. The special intimate point is that the hotel has a laundry room. It is really convenient to wash clothes. After exercising, you can wash the sweaty clothes directly, and you don't have to carry them home. Many hotels of the same grade can't do this, it's really a special bonus."

"The lobby was fancy and clean, and the front desk staff were friendly, even though they didn't speak any English Check-in as a foreign was hassle-free. The breakfast buffet was typical Chinese hotel breakfast food, just normal, but lacking in fresh fruit. It's close enough to the Mountain Scenic area to walk. I have two complaints, though. I had a windowless room, and it smelled awful inside, and the ventilation fan didn't help get rid of the smell. Also, the shower door wouldn't close all the way, so it left a huge puddle on the bathroom floor every time I took a shower. It was uncomfortable taking a shower while trying to hold the door shut as much as possible, too. The room was clean, when I checked in, though, and cleaned daily. I could hear some noise from guests in other rooms, like loud talking and toilets flushing. It would definitely be better if I had gotten a room with windows, to help get that smell out. It's easy to walk along the river from this hotel's location, though."

"Very nice stay because the hotel is ideally located in the city center and there are many shops around, several bus stops and everything is very convenient. The room was okay, it would have been better with a better bathroom (separation for toilets and shower, the door with curtain for privacy in the room)."
