Choosing this hotel for our trip to Pingyao was a brilliant decision! The location is unparalleled, right next to Pingyao's West Gate and adjacent to the 'Impression Pingyao' theater, making it incredibly convenient for catching a show and getting around. The hotel is connected to the Pingyao Restaurant, boasting high-end facilities. The room furnishings are exquisite, complete with a Dyson hairdryer, and the toiletries are also top-notch, ensuring an excellent stay. The staff's service was warm and attentive. They even upgraded us for free to a suite with an electric heated 'kang' bed. The room was spacious and comfortable, featuring a lovely tea set – perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea. They provided thoughtful pick-up and drop-off service throughout our stay, with heartwarming details at every turn. Upon check-out, they even gave us a complimentary specialty Pingyao lacquerware souvenir. Their sincerity was evident, and the value for money was outstanding. This is definitely our top choice for accommodation when visiting Pingyao! There's also an older establishment inside the ancient city called Qigongguan, which is very antique and well-maintained. However, for comfort, Molan is still superior.

Communication with the owner was great right from the start of the booking [thumbs up]. The recommended local dishes were excellent value for money, and they even kindly reminded us about discount offers. The directions to attractions were very clear, and the tour guide they arranged was incredibly professional. Learning about the ancient city's history made the trip truly worthwhile! The courtyard was very clean, and you could tell every plant was carefully tended to. The room furnishings were also very tasteful, and the facilities were complete. Everything looks magic and brings us in an old Chinese movie around here. The simple and probably old renovation of the hotel respects this particularity, offering a correct comfort. The isolation is not optimum but I would not expect more from any other place in the town. We asked for the hotel restaurants and they gave us a coupon for one out (we’ve been there, it was really nice). The choice of breakfast (between western and Chinese) is great. Pickup service is perfect, very fast and convenient!!! The staff, especially Bae, is very nice and helpful. Our train was cancelled and they immediately took care of us, giving a new room (a suite, very beautiful and comfortable).

A paisagem está à vista de todos, e essa excelente conveniência de visualização se deve à localização privilegiada do B&B, que aproveita a localização geográfica. 🏮O ambiente é antigo e tranquilo: ao entrar no pátio da casa de família, você se sente como se estivesse em um paraíso, isolado dos problemas do mundo. Grades de janelas esculpidas, corredores sinuosos, cada passo é uma cena, e em todos os lugares há um ritmo fluido. O quarto está cheio de charme antigo. Os móveis de madeira exalam um brilho aconchegante, as cortinas da cama pendem levemente, como se houvesse uma leve fragrância nas mangas, e a caligrafia e as pinturas na parede e os enfeites de mesa são todos cuidadosamente elaborados. Os detalhes mostram a persistência do proprietário e o respeito pelo estilo antigo, que faz com que as pessoas durmam bem a noite toda e fiquem embriagadas sem saber o caminho de casa. 🍳O café da manhã surpreende o paladar: Eu não tinha grandes expectativas para o café da manhã no B&B, mas acabou sendo uma surpresa agradável. Todas as refeições são preparadas com especialidades locais. O mingau é macio e pegajoso, os acompanhamentos são refrescantes e também há pãezinhos de pasta de feijão vermelho feitos pelo próprio chefe. É muito bom comer sob a muralha da cidade. 👨👩👧👦 Atendimento atencioso: O chefe é muito hospitaleiro e irá buscá-lo pessoalmente no portão norte. Todas as solicitações são respondidas. Desde as orientações cuidadosas no check-in, às recomendações atenciosas em guias de viagem, até a calorosa despedida no check-out, tudo é atencioso e faz as pessoas se sentirem em casa. Aqui, não só o corpo encontra um lugar para descansar, mas a alma também se sente aquecida e confortável, como se estivesse voltando para casa. Se você também ama o estilo antigo e anseia por uma estadia poética, este B&B é definitivamente a melhor escolha. Que ele sempre conserve seu charme antigo ao longo dos anos, esperando por seu apreciador. 💖

Tivemos uma estadia maravilhosa. O pátio tem 200 anos e é muito autêntico e tradicional, mas as comodidades são muito modernas, e o banheiro estava limpo e novo. O ambiente é ótimo. O hotel está localizado na cidade antiga. Não fica longe das ruas principais e das atrações, mas em uma área mais tranquila, longe do barulho. O pátio é ótimo para relaxar ou tirar fotos. A equipe é super prestativa e atenciosa. Eles nos ajudaram com tudo, desde nos apresentar a cidade antiga até providenciar transporte para nós e nossas malas grandes, e até nos ajudaram a tirar algumas fotos. Um agradecimento especial a Fanny e Helen por tornarem nossa viagem ainda mais maravilhosa!

What a wonderful experience! The hotel is located in a beautiful historic setting within the ancient city walls of Pingyao, right in the heart of the old town. The atmosphere is truly authentic—you feel like you've stepped back in time. It's the perfect base for exploring this charming city. The rooms are clean and reflect the traditional style of the surroundings, adding to the overall charm. But what truly made our stay special was the staff: incredibly friendly and always willing to help. Despite the language barrier, they went out of their way to communicate with us, using translation apps and lots of patience. We felt genuinely welcomed. All in all, highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in historic Pingyao!

This hotel was stunning. Located in the heart of the city. Very charming, it feels like going back in time. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Crystal at concierge was there for us all the time. Definitely recommended. Only down point: the hotel is very difficult to find. To keep a higher level of exclusivity there is not a single indication on the street. Took a while and some local help to manage.
