Special thanks to Manager Emilia and the team at Holiday Express for making our stay wonderful. The hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the price was very reasonable. It’s a great place for families – our kids loved the swimming pool – and the bar was a nice extra for relaxing in the evening. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely return!

This is my first hotel booking with Trip and I must say I was skeptical at first whether it would go through. Thankfully, the hotel did receive the confirmation. Just needed to tell the receptionist your surname and they’ll be able to locate you in their system. We were passed complimentary cookies, which were really yummy. The bed in the double room was smaller than expected but it was still good enough for two adults. The rooms are not very soundproof so you can hear the outside cars if you’re on the side facing the city. But if you’re not overly sensitive, the sounds are acceptable. The 24/7 gym was fairly well-equipped for the space capacity. They had gym towels, sanitary wipes, and water refiller. The hotel breakfast was enjoyable as well. The restaurant had a good view. Overall, the stay was a really good deal! Would use Trip.com again.

First stay here and will definitely return. 3rd stay at a Mercure brand hotel and cannot fault any! Bridgewater is a pleasant town with plenty of places to enjoy and pass the time. The hotel is spotlessly clean, rooms are very nice with excellent air conditioning if you need it! Comfortable beds, all mod cons including Samsung TV, USB sockets by the beds, ambient lighting, storage well thought out, small fridge, room service, fabulous bathrooms with waterfall shower and lovely extras such as decent shower wash and hair wash, make up/shaving mirror with lighting. Very secure hotel with 24 hour reception and lift only operable with key cards. Didn't try the hotel restaurant but judging by the volume of people eating there I'd assume very good! Nothing to fault!

This is a splendid Hotel and Spa set in the Somerset countryside near Winscombe. The Pool and Spa Facilities are very good indeed. There is a small sauna and a steam room that can comfortably allow 6 occupants. The Gym facilities are excellent and extensive. The Pool looks great though I didn't swim on this occasion. All the staff speak good English.The Bar is very comfortable with plush sofas in the Lounge area. I didn't dine, but the Dining area is large and looks comfortable. The outside area gives a beautiful view of the landscape and Brent Knoll. Nit Picks... Check in is strictly at 3pm and not before so there might be queues at that time. The corridors are confusing and first time guests might get lost. In the bathroom the Shower gel and Shampoo dispenser are in small bottles fixed to the wall by the shower and pressing once dispenses only a tiny amount. The service at the Spa was not quite right on the first night and very little was explained. It was better in the morning. My room was small, but very clean. The TV remote needed a very firm press to change channels of volume, but you get the hang of it eventually. I will stay again. The room rate by Trip com was amazingly good and better than any other Online provider. Well done Trip com. Below a picture of the landscape from the road below the hotel.

I love Charlton house, it was really quirky. The way it has been styled is really unusual. It makes you feel like you're in a bit of a fantasy world with the little corridors and quirky little nooks and crannies. For me it fit the bill, it did the job that I needed but I understand for those people that do not get it on an offer and pay a lot of money to stay there I understand how they might say that it's a bit dirty a bit tired a bit grubby and needs a bit of TLC. There seemed to be one very sweet man that was running around doing pretty much everything and the rest of the staff were hidden behind doors or just not there. I'm not sure. There were staff present in the spa and they were lovely and helpful and kind. My little room was gorgeous and cute and cozy, and clean enough although tatty in places. For me I really had a nice day and I would definitely come back. The breakfast was extremely basic but I didn't have extremely high expectations, and I'm not really a breakfast person, so again it may not make the tick box for others but it did the job for me. Este é um hotel muito agradável, novo e limpo, situado no romântico banho. Do lado de fora da janela você pode ver e sentir a cultura de Bath. A sala é bastante grande. Você também pode passar o dia inteiro no hotel com muitas comodidades como piscina e spa. O hotel também oferece um café da manhã fabuloso e um bom serviço pela manhã. A única coisa que pode ser melhorada é que não há estacionamento. Você tem que estacionar no estacionamento da rua Charlotte, que leva 5 minutos a pé. O bom é que o estacionamento é bastante grande e permite estacionamento noturno, enquanto o estacionamento próximo ao hotel permite apenas algumas horas de estacionamento no máximo.

Perfect room, one of the biggest room ever stayed in the UK! Loving the free hot spring in the hotel. Can’t complain I mean!

Complementary refreshments and being able to cast to the tv was great, as we're the blackout blinds. Lovely breakfast in the mornings. The room was compact but well laid out and very cute.

Aluguei por dois dias consecutivos com reservas separadas. No primeiro dia, a limpeza estava perfeita, impecavel a proposito. Na segunda reserva tive um descontentamento na chegada do quarto porque ele nitidamente nao foi limpo como deveria.Todavia solicitei a troca de quarto junto a recepcao que prontamente resolveu o problema me redirecionando para outro quarto que estava em noas condicoes de limpeza. Percebi que a limpeza de quartos, sao diferentes pelas subclassificacoes dos quartos. O primeiro dia ficamos em um quarto nivel alto, e por isso estava impecavel. No mais, tudo foi otimo. Ainda recomendo, pq a qualidade do servico é excepcional e caso tenha algum problema a equipe solucionara como possivel
