While visiting Qingdao, I decided to spend a day in Jinan and chose the Shangri-La. Before checking in, I called to confirm that my room was ready. The lobby is impressive, and the room was spacious, quiet, and well-equipped. The toiletries were excellent, and I particularly liked the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes and combs. The hotel is conveniently located opposite Quancheng Square, perfect for an evening stroll to watch the musical fountain. Baotu Spring is also within walking distance. There are plenty of malls nearby, and both takeout and dining options are easily accessible. The old city, however, is genuinely congested; it took almost 40 minutes to get to Jinan Station by taxi, and I barely made my train. The hotel also seems to offer intangible cultural heritage activities, but I didn't have time to participate. I would definitely choose this hotel again for a more leisurely trip to Jinan.

This stay exceeded my expectations! From check-in, the front desk staff, ZOEY, was warm and efficient, and even proactively introduced the hotel facilities and local dining options. The whole process was seamless. I paid to upgrade to a sea-view room, and it was a true oceanfront room. Opening the floor-to-ceiling windows revealed the entire sea, with an unbeatable panoramic view. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent. I slept soundly until morning, lulled by the sound of the waves, and all my travel fatigue simply melted away. The facilities were well-maintained, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were of high quality; attention to detail was evident everywhere. The buffet breakfast offered a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles tasted authentic, plus the freshly squeezed juices were delicious. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the beach. Strolling along the coast in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, was incredibly relaxing. The heated pool and gym facilities were also comprehensive, making for a truly immersive vacation experience. Five-star rating, I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

Just checked out of the Crowne Plaza Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort, and this 3-day, 2-night 'lie-flat' vacation was truly therapeutic. We didn't have to rush to any attractions, making it perfect for families with kids or those looking for a quiet escape. The hotel has a European castle style, and the high-ceilinged lobby with a crystal chandelier immediately sets a holiday mood upon entry. We were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The room itself was generously sized, but the real highlight was the large balcony. Stepping out, you're greeted by an unobstructed view of Aoshan Bay. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from bed in the morning and the sunset over the sea in the evening – simply an amazing view. While some areas of the facilities showed a bit of age, the overall cleanliness and tidiness were quite good. Downstairs, there's a beach where you can wade in the water or dig in the sand – the kids absolutely loved it. There's also an outdoor children's swimming pool, and hotel guests have unlimited access. Next to it, there's a small petting zoo, where feeding the animals easily fills up a whole day.

Our two-night stay in a junior suite at the Westin Qingdao exceeded our expectations! A special shout-out to Nini at the front desk – her service was thoughtful and attentive, check-in was efficient, and she patiently addressed all our requests. Her warm service was truly appreciated. Housekeeper Aunt Liu Cuihe also deserves praise; she kept our room spotless, clean, and tidy, paying attention to every detail. We also used the hotel's pool and gym, both of which were well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, making for a relaxing swim and workout. The junior suite was spacious and well-laid-out, providing a quiet and comfortable stay. Overall, the service was excellent, and the facilities were well-maintained. It was a wonderful accommodation experience, and we'll definitely choose the Westin Qingdao again when we return to Qingdao. Highly recommended!

The hotel is nowhere near as luxurious as the pictures suggest. It looks quite old in person, even for a relatively new hotel. It has a very dated feel. All of the deluxe king rooms are located near the runway, and the sound of planes taking off is incredibly loud. There's no way you'd get any sleep at night. I eventually asked the front desk to change my room to a twin room on the terminal side, which was much quieter. The layout and size of the twin room were quite suitable. Although the hotel has a dedicated tunnel connecting directly to the airport, it's a very long walk, about 10-15 minutes. Personally, I don't think the deluxe king room is worth over 400 yuan at all. The room felt cramped and old, and the bedding had a smell, possibly of disinfectant.

This hotel is located in Huangdao District, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it perfect for guests who prefer a quieter environment without large crowds. The indoor pool is spacious and well-lit, with depths ranging from 0.8 to 1.3 meters, which is great for families and those learning to swim. The beach is a mere 3-minute walk away. It's a public beach, not a private one, so swimming isn't recommended. However, it's fantastic for clam digging, playing in the sand, and wading in the water in the mornings and evenings. It offers a more private beach experience compared to the crowded public swimming beaches, making it an ideal compromise. There are also water sports facilities operated by third parties on the beach, offering additional options. The hotel features a resident band performance in the evenings, which can be enjoyed directly from the outdoor terrace dining area. I recommend booking a room with a terrace so you can dine and drink while listening to the music. Alternatively, a sea-view room with a balcony also offers a good view. The hotel also has an outdoor mini zoo with cute animals like miniature horses, which is a fun attraction for both adults and children. The breakfast is decent, meeting the standard for a five-star hotel. This room type offers excellent value for money, so remember to book in advance during peak season. By the way, a little heads-up: Qingdao is under a fishing ban throughout July and August, so there's no such thing as ”freshly caught seafood” during this time. Most seafood is frozen or imported from other regions. Friends, be wary of false advertising from some seafood stalls.

I booked this hotel for my mom, and she was absolutely delighted! They arranged a room for her on the 17th floor, which offered a fantastic sea view. Plus, the hotel's breakfast was incredibly delicious – a huge thumbs up from her! It was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Our butler, Celia, was professional and courteous, handling all inquiries efficiently and thoroughly, truly showcasing Hyatt's excellent service standards.

The room decor was exactly to my taste, a bit vintage, especially the small details like the bedside lamps – they really added to the emotional value of the trip. The hotel's location is super convenient; it's not far from the main attractions and easily accessible by public transport. This was perfect for us, as we love to experience slow travel using buses. I especially want to mention the staff member REYA, who was patient and enthusiastic. Everyone appreciates feeling cared for when they're away from home.

This last-minute trip led me to the Shangri-La Qingdao, and Nina, our butler, truly provided heartwarming service! The room was spacious, classically styled, and the bedding was very comfortable. The location is also extremely convenient. During my stay, Nina proactively checked in on my experience. Due to an unexpected personal matter, I hoped to extend my check-out until 4 PM. I honestly didn't think it would be possible and just asked on a whim, but to my surprise, Nina immediately offered a solution. She promptly added me on WeChat and personally helped me arrange the late check-out. She genuinely solved a problem for me and made things so much easier. The entire service was proactive and thoughtful from start to finish; guests don't need to keep asking for things. You could feel the dedication in every detail. It was a very pleasant stay, and I will definitely choose Shangri-La again on my next visit to Qingdao!

The hotel's dinner buffet offered great value for money! The seafood was fresh and there was a wide variety, so much so that we ate dinner at the hotel's buffet for 3 consecutive nights. It was so convenient not having to stress about finding a restaurant. The hotel's backyard connects to a seaside promenade, perfect for walking or cycling. Along the way, we saw many people fishing, catching huge mantis shrimp and blue crabs. It was wonderful to enjoy fresh seafood right by the ocean!
