For this particular purpose the hotel is perfect and super nice, but I wont come there just to stay (but its more about me, this is the case with most hotels for me)"

The service and reception here are outstanding. They offer all-inclusive round-trip transfers and proactively assist with itinerary planning. Upon arrival, they provide a detailed guide for exploring all the scenic spots like the terraced fields, drum towers, and wind-and-rain bridges, making your trip completely stress-free. The wooden homestay features floor-to-ceiling windows with direct views of the entire Dong village's stilted houses and mountain scenery. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the Yao medicinal bath is incredibly relaxing. Every evening, the homestay arranges authentic Dong Grand Song performances, offering an immersive cultural experience.
The local buffet breakfast is delicious and authentic, and upon departure, they even give you a special souvenir. The service is meticulous and thoughtful. Opening the window reveals a picturesque Dong village landscape. It's definitely worth revisiting."

"The hotel was clean and the service was great. We came in January, in the winter and you cannot control the heat in the individual rooms. It is run by a common heating system. So it was very very hot, so hot I sweat through the night.
The only other negative, for a high quality hotel, the bar closes at 10:00pm. So when we arrived about 10:00 in the evening, it was too late to have a night cap."

"I booked 2 rooms for my family of 5, with one child. We stayed in the deluxe twin room which has been renovated earlier this year/last year.
The room and bathroom are spacious , bright and clean (except for the doorway inside the room near the closet ) with good view.
The staff quality is of high standard. They all are professional and friendly (from the bell boy, the front desk to the servers in the restaurant).
The executive lounge is on 53/f and it’s cozy. The view there is nice. The lounge provides a range of snacks with very professional hotel service.
The breakfast also offers a variety of food and drinks. We enjoyed it!
Regarding the location, there’re a shopping mall (1 to 2 min walk) and many convenient stores nearby. It’s also within walking distance to the tourist spot Jia shou Lou (甲秀樓.). However, it’s is not too close to the subway."

It is only a one-minute walk to landmark attractions such as the Qinglong Cave, Zhusheng Bridge, and Shiping Mountain. Additionally, it only takes a few minutes to walk to the museum, ancient alleys, pier, and other places.
Situated by the river, every room in the homestay is a scenic-view room, with both the balcony and the rooftop terrace providing the best views. The decor is stylish and well-designed and equipped with an elevator and central air conditioning. The guest rooms feature a dry-wet separation layout and are furnished with convenient amenities such as a coffee machine, a mini refrigerator, and a mini washing machine.
"I recently stayed at Gu Lai Xi Hotel @ 鎭远古镇and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, clearly reflecting the hotel’s recent renovation (just a year ago). Everything felt fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort.
What truly made my stay special, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the owners. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Whether it was providing local tips or assisting with any requests, their warmth made me feel right at home.
The location is perfect - quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to Zhen Yuan’s key attractions. I loved how easy it was to explore the nearby landmarks without being in a noisy tourist area.
Overall, Gu Lai Xi offers great value - excellent facilities, superb service, and an ideal location. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting 鎭远古镇"

"During our stay, our child suddenly developed a very high fever. As foreigners, we didn’t know how to handle the situation and were extremely anxious, but the warm and compassionate support from everyone at the hotel truly saved us.
We had to visit a hospital for two consecutive days, which was about a 30-minute drive away. Even late at night and for many hours at a time, when we struggled with the language, the concierge staff—Bonnie and Mavis—kindly accompanied us, helping with procedures and communication with the doctors. Their support was incredibly reassuring.
The driver and all the other staff members also showed constant care and kindness toward our sick child throughout the entire experience.
And the breakfast was absolutely delicious—truly outstanding.
This is a hotel I would wholeheartedly recommend, especially to international travelers and families with young children."

CathereineStaying at Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village for these three nights felt like living among the clouds.
I booked three different room types, and each one felt like a custom-made viewing frame. The layered beauty of the Miao village, from the misty mornings to the illuminated 'river of lights' at night, was perfectly framed before my eyes. The biggest surprise was the afternoon tea served daily from 2 PM to 8 PM. Those rose pastries, with their crispy crust enveloping a sweet floral fragrance, left a lingering aftertaste that I still recall fondly.
But what truly touched me were the 'people' on this trip. The butler service was impeccable from the moment I arrived at the West Gate. On the way in, they meticulously escorted me and my luggage all the way to my room, and on departure, they handled everything smoothly, allowing me to travel light and simply enjoy the scenery. This kind of thoughtful care made the beauty of the Miao village more than just a landscape; it was a comforting warmth of being truly looked after.
Three nights, three perspectives, and consistently thoughtful service. I will definitely be back.

AwesomeLPros: The hotel was pretty good, with spacious rooms. Although it's a bit older, it's well-maintained overall. The pet-friendly restaurant on the 5th floor was unique, and the facilities on the 4th floor were well-equipped. All the staff were very polite, professional, and well-organized, even during the peak season. A special shout-out to Victor for his professional and friendly service – and of course, all the other staff were great too!
Cons: The lobby on the first floor was quite chaotic. I heard there are many entertainment venues, and with so many customers, it felt more like a noisy shopping mall. I suggest the hotel guests and entertainment venue patrons be separated, perhaps by not sharing the same elevators. As a hotel guest, I really hoped for a quiet and comfortable space.

Important Tip for Travelers:
If you are arriving from Libo Airport or Libo Railway Station, inform the reception in advance about your arrival time. The hotel can arrange transportation from the park entrance to the hotel.
Regular taxi services or Didi usually drop guests at the main park entrance, and reaching the hotel from there can be difficult . First-time visitors may find the hotel location confusing. Arranging pickup with the hotel beforehand will make your arrival much smoother.
Overall, a very good resort with friendly staff, clean rooms, and a convenient location inside the park. The only challenge is transportation from the entrance, which can be easily resolved by contacting the hotel before arrival.

Anonymous UserWhenever I visit Guiyang and stay in the city center, I always choose the Sheraton. It offers great value for money and is conveniently located. In the mornings, I enjoy a stroll along the Nanming River. In the evenings, Jiaxiu Tower is bustling with people, and the night view is stunning. The nearby Qingyun Market is full of life, with endless delicious food and drinks. The hotel is also less than half an hour from the airport, which is super convenient!

The hotel is 2-3 kilometers away from the high-speed railway station, and the transportation is convenient. The road to the hotel is under construction. The hotel looks luxurious. There are many people in the lobby, which may be a large group. The front desk service is very friendly, the room is large and clean. I booked a room without breakfast, and the front desk also upgraded my room for free and gave me breakfast. The breakfast has rich varieties and the children like it very much.

XiongmaobusimaoThe environment is great, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Staying on the ground floor is even better because you can park your car right outside, which makes it easy to unload luggage. The high humidity in summer was actually good for my skin! The only downside was that clothes don't dry outside, so I had to hang them indoors. The hotel breakfast was a bit simple, but everything else was fine. The hotel is just across the bridge from the scenic area entrance, and you can even play in the water under the bridge.

XiaoxiaoyuI personally think the exterior is very impressive; it's rare to see a hotel with this kind of design and size nowadays. The entire ancient town is beautifully crafted and has a great style. The hotel service is also very good. For a county town, everything here is excellent. Breakfast is good too, with a mix of Western and Chinese options, and even bagels. The coffee is decent. Sister Zhu's Stir-fry at the entrance of the ancient town is also delicious 😋. It's very close to Zhijindong Cave, so staying here is perfect for visiting the area.

My friends and I chose this hotel for a concert, and it was a fantastic experience! The front desk staff were warm and attentive. Check-in was quick and efficient, and they thoughtfully recommended suitable restaurants and attractions nearby. Our room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. What truly impressed us was the hotel's service team's attention to detail, like helping us with our luggage and showing us to our room while explaining the facilities. This feeling of being valued made our whole trip so much warmer.
The hotel has excellent amenities; our room was spacious and bright, equipped with air conditioning, a TV, and high-speed Wi-Fi, meeting all our needs as friends traveling together. The gym and swimming pool also offered more options for relaxation during our free time. Most importantly, it was just a few minutes' walk from the venue – incredibly convenient!
The hotel's price was also very reasonable, offering exceptional value for money, completely exceeding our expectations. If my friends and I travel together again, we will definitely choose this hotel!

Guest UserMy stay here was absolutely wonderful! The hotel is super close to Huangguoshu Scenic Area, just a few minutes' drive away. It has a really peaceful vibe, and I loved sitting on the balcony at night, looking at all the stars with the mountains all around – so quiet and relaxing. Check-in was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were so warm and polite. My room was spotless, the bedding was comfy, and the soundproofing was excellent. Breakfast offered a great variety and tasted delicious. A huge thank you to the front desk for the room upgrade; after two nights here, I felt completely refreshed from my travels. The overall service was top-notch. They also have a lot of free activities; I tried batik making and fridge magnet crafting, which was fun. This is definitely my go-to choice when visiting Huangguoshu, and I'll be back for sure! I'll be recommending it to all my colleagues and friends!

Xuxu29017This guesthouse boasts an excellent location right by the observation deck, with a bus stop conveniently nearby. The balcony view is absolutely stunning. Out of my entire trip to Xijiang, the warmest encounter I had was with Kele, the host of Qifengxin Guesthouse. They proactively communicated about my itinerary and was waiting right at the scenic area's ticket gate upon my arrival. Kele handled all my luggage, saving me from the exhaustion of carrying bags up stairs. Along the way, they patiently explained how to best explore the Miao village and answered all my travel questions without hesitation, offering practical and thoughtful tips. Kele was genuinely kind and meticulous in their service, even seeing me off to the scenic area entrance when I left. No matter how beautiful the scenery, it can't compare to attentive service. Thanks to Kele, this trip was exceptionally perfect. I highly recommend Qifengxin Guesthouse!
