"Este hotel foi, sem dúvida, o mais confortável de toda a viagem. Em primeiro lugar, o conforto geral do quarto é excelente, a roupa de cama é macia, a disposição é sensata e é muito relaxante estar no quarto, sem qualquer sensação de opressão. O que mais me agradou foi o excelente isolamento acústico; ao fechar a porta, tudo fica muito tranquilo. Seja para descansar à noite ou para uma sesta durante o dia, consegui dormir profundamente, o que é ótimo para quem tem sono leve.
A vista também é fantástica, com o mar visível da cama. As vistas do mar ao amanhecer e ao anoitecer são especialmente terapêuticas, e observar o mar melhora o humor. O pequeno-almoço também é de alta qualidade, com uma grande variedade e sabores deliciosos, e os ingredientes são frescos, o que me deixou muito satisfeito e pronto para começar o dia de bom humor.
No geral, é um local tranquilo e confortável, com uma vista para o mar que é um bónus, e um pequeno-almoço bem pensado. Recomendo vivamente, seja para umas férias relaxantes ou para um bom descanso. Não queria ir embora depois de ficar aqui, a relação custo-benefício e a experiência foram excelentes."

"I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and it never disappoints. The rooms are consistently clean, and the bed is very comfortable, making it easy to relax. There’s ample parking available, which is very convenient. The hotel is also family-friendly, with a kids’ room that’s great for children. I especially appreciate that the swimming pool is open until 10pm, giving more flexibility to unwind in the evening. Overall, a reliable and pleasant stay every time."

"Parking is ample inside the hotel, so no worries if you’re driving.
Check-in and check-out were smooth.
On the downside, the room has taped flooring, which makes it look a bit questionable and ugly 🤔

"I am very pleased with the service given by the receptionist. They are welcoming and very friendly. They had been going an extra mile for my birthday during the stay and it made my day. 🥰 Thank you so much again for the hospitality and for the upgrade. The room is spacious and have all the basic amenities. The only thing that I think the hotel can improve is adding more variation to their channels on the TV and all the lift need to be available during peak season since it is a hassle to wait for the lift and missed out a few times just because of the lift is full. However I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Penang for all the other reasons ☺️"

"Misleading and Inconsistent Children’s Breakfast Pricing - Prior to my stay, I referred to the TRIP website, which clearly stated that the breakfast price for children was RM44.80 per child. However, on the morning of 26th December 2025, I was charged RM56.00 per child for my 6-year-old.
When I questioned this discrepancy, the manager claimed that the updated price was already reflected on the website. This was not accurate at the time of my booking, and I was not informed of any price change in advance. I have screenshots of the pricing information as reference. This situation was misleading and caused unnecessary inconvenience."

"The room isn't huge, but it was perfect for two people. When I checked in, I asked for a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hotel having a gym and a swimming pool is a huge plus! It's super convenient with a mall next door, and it was so easy to visit all the nearby attractions and try out local food spots – everything was about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to the airport takes about 30 minutes if there's no traffic. I highly recommend this place! There are water dispensers on every floor, which is great for refilling bottles. The bed isn't huge, but it's comfortable enough to sleep on. If I come back to Penang, I'd definitely choose to stay here again."

Regarding the facilities, I need to pay by my own self for the car parking service. They are charging RM 24 per day and I am staying for 4 days 3 nights. Do you think how much I need to pay for the car parking which they never stated that visitors or customers need to paying by ourselves. I hope that in the future, please stated very clearly that we need to paying by ourselves without inform us.

Guest UserWe were able to check in as soon as we arrived at 12 PM. The location is excellent, with great shopping malls nearby, and it's not far from Shantou Street. The room facilities aren't brand new, but they were clean and tidy. The overall room service was quite good. We stayed for four nights and it seems we even got upgraded to a sea view room, which offered beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Recommended.

Guest UserThe room was clean and spacious. The bed was also clean and large. The private pool in the room was clean, as was the toilet and the large, clean bathtub. It was a great stay for families. My room didn't have any Charlie ants. The only downside was the breakfast, which had a limited time slot – only an hour – so it felt rushed to get food. I would definitely repeat my stay.

DaguluxiaoguluSunway Hotel, recommended by Doubao, truly exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. Upon check-in, we were given warm cookies, which immediately won over our travel-weary and hungry hearts. Our luggage was not only brought to our room but also placed exactly where we wanted it, which was incredibly thoughtful. The bottled water provided was in beautiful glass bottles, making the water taste even better. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks, replenished daily. The hotel has been renovated; while the bath towels were a bit old, they were very well-maintained. The bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable, and the room was quiet, ensuring we had two very restful nights. Although the pool was small, it was clean. For this price, with such service and a pool, it truly offers excellent value for money. Plus, right downstairs is a local night market – not a touristy one – where you can find authentic char kway teow, longan ice, and fried vermicelli from Wu Zhou Tea Room, all highly recommended!

Lovely clean room with air conditioning and proper shower. They also provide you with some bottled water and there was a fridge which is very handy for keeping your drinks cold. In the bathroom, Hand gel, shower gel and shampoo all provided as well.
The hotel is very well situated in Georgetown and you can easily walk to all of the key attractions - such as the Clan Jetties and some of the famous mansions here, as well as going around and seeing the street art.
There’s also a lot of cafes and restaurants nearby which are nice - and the art shop and cafe Journal is just down the street, which is a great place to pop into while exploring the town.
I had the breakfast while staying here and it was very nice - each day they have a rice and noodle dish and you can ask for eggs or an omelette. There was also salad and fruit plus steamed buns and corn pudding - so lots of variety.
One issue to note was noise - the rooms are not the most sound proof, so I could occasionally hear people in the corridor or even one person snoring during the nighttime, which did make sleeping a bit harder.

Lester T WongThe hotel's facilities are exceptional. On a clear day, the sea view is absolutely stunning, with a vast ocean panorama right outside the room window. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunset.
I gave the facilities five stars because there are two swimming pools: one children's pool with a small slide, and a sky pool more suitable for adults. You can order food by the sky pool, and it's quite good.
Additionally, for families with children, there's a kids' playground with various activities. Children aged five and above can be looked after, allowing adults to go to the gym or do other things, which is a very thoughtful service.
I only gave the hotel's location and cleanliness three stars. The location is quiet but there's nothing else nearby. Typically, beachfront hotels are closer to night markets, especially this one which is quite secluded. The hotel does offer a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they didn't mention the need for a reservation, and there was only one scheduled trip. I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told I needed a reservation, and by then, it was full. Luckily, a 10-minute taxi ride still works.
Regarding cleanliness, the room attendant didn't clean properly. Leftover takeout food was still in the room, which was quite disappointing.

Guest UserOur last hotel in Penang was in Batu Ferringhi. The hotel isn't very large, and the room facilities are a bit dated, but the experience was excellent! First, the resort layout is well-designed; despite its size, the areas are cleverly arranged, creating beautiful views at every turn. There are several swimming pools, including two for children with slides and more. Most importantly, there are staff members consistently present at the slides and by the pools to supervise and maintain order, ensuring children can play safely and securely! Breakfast was also great; although there was a queue during peak hours, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety. The beach bar also had good food, and it was lovely to relax there with the lights on at night.
The best part is that the hotel has direct access to the beach and the sea! And the path from the hotel to the sea looks absolutely beautiful when lit up at night.
We booked a two-story family room with a lovely balcony. The staff service was also excellent. I'm giving it five stars.

Really enjoyed my stay at SHO Hotel Penang. The hotel is clean, modern and well-maintained, with spacious rooms that are comfortable for both short and longer stays. Being a newly opened hotel, the facilities are still fresh and in great condition, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The only downside is the location, which is quite far from Georgetown, so getting to the main attractions and city centre can take some time. Other than that, a very pleasant stay and definitely a hotel worth considering if you prioritise cleanliness, space and modern facilities.

Alading-shendengOverall, it's pretty good and offers good value for money.
Transportation: You can take a taxi to the Old Town or walk for 20 minutes. The hotel's area is relatively quiet and tidy. As an aside, I struggled with the accommodation area for a long time before my trip. I'm fine with the OZO area, but if I were to go again, I personally would prefer the Gurney Bay area. The atmosphere and cleanliness are much better there. Many parts of the Old Town are too old and chaotic.
Cleanliness was satisfactory, even exceeding expectations. For service, I didn't encounter any Mandarin-speaking staff, but everyone was very friendly.
Facilities: The rooftop pool has an excellent view directly facing the sea. It was wonderful to relax there every day. The breakfast restaurant also has a good view, and while the variety isn't huge, it's sufficient. In-room facilities are standard for a business hotel. I actually found it very convenient to get water from the water dispenser on my floor.
There are two downsides: 1. The towels are very old and should be replaced; I used my own the entire time. 2. For some unknown reason, the Wi-Fi was extremely poor during my stay. My World Cup viewing corner's internet TV was almost unusable due to buffering. For tourists, poor internet is a significant issue.
