In summer the area is known for its many peaks and not far from the cabin is Skogshorn, the most famous mountain in Hemsedal. There are also miles of biking and hiking trails right outside the door. In winter, Hemsedal Ski Center is about 20 minutes away by car and has been voted the best ski center in Norway for years in a row. In the area 400 meters away there are also long and beautiful cross-country trails, both in the forest and in the high mountains, there is something for everyone. Great log cabin on Golsfjellet in beautiful nature with views of Hallingskarvet and Jotunheimen. A perfect area for outdoor enthusiasts with activities such as skiing, hiking trails (summer and winter), bike paths and several fishing lakes. You can fish for trout in the area. The cabin is part of a mountain farm dating back to the 18th century in an area with a lot of history; there is more information about this in the cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated with an open kitchen/living room. Both wood stove and fireplace, firewood is included in the price. TV with satellite and several foreign channels. Lovely bathroom with sauna. The cabin has three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with a bunk bed. In addition, there is a loft with a double bed and mattresses. Bed linen and towels can be rented on site. There is plenty of seating outside, both under cover and on the open terrace. There is abundant wildlife in the area. Here, you can see moose, roe deer, deer, reindeer and several species of birds. Brattstølen ski resort is about 3 km away, and if you want larger conditions, it is a short drive to ski resorts on Golsfjellet, Valdres Alpinsenter, Storefjell, Bualia and Hemsedal. In Gol, you will find Skaga Village Museum and a great water park, Tropicana.
