Anonymous UserVery convenient location just outside N5 Exit of Tsim Sha Tsui station. Room isn’t much but does the job. Wifi is extremely stable and aircon is strong as well.
Some things to note: as the room is narrow so it might be difficult to open your luggage; waiting time for the lift might take long; check in counter is quite busy so factor in at least 15-20 minutes for check in / check out at the stipulated time

Guest UserExcellent and very clean! My son even got to practice some English with the owner, so it was definitely worth it. At first, I was a bit apprehensive seeing so many foreigners at the entrance, thinking it might not be safe. But once inside, I realized that wasn't the case at all. The owner was right there, making it feel very secure and friendly. Seeing that we were three adults with a child, they even offered an extra set of toiletries, though we didn't end up using them as we had our own. Families with kids should definitely consider this place; it's a great opportunity for them to practice English with the owner and understand its importance. This hotel offers incredible value for money! The location is fantastic too – Victoria Harbour is just a few hundred meters walk from the entrance. We stayed out until 10 pm and simply walked back, saving on subway fares. Besides the noisy air conditioning, everything else was perfect! Highly recommended!!!

Guzhousuoli007First off, I want to say I wasn't paid or given anything for this review. I'm just genuinely raving about YC Hostel. I stayed here for four days and it was great.
Hygiene, Environment: Excellent. Each room has its own bathroom, and there are lockers and curtains. Everything else you'd expect is also there.
Facilities: Superb. There's a fridge, basic cooking utensils, and common areas. Security is tight; you need to swipe your card to use the elevator to go upstairs, and the stairs are usually locked, so no outsiders can get in.
Service: They don't discriminate against mainlanders. My water heater broke, and the owner came up to fix it after one phone call, though it didn't get fully repaired (haha). The staff members were all respectful and polite, treating foreigners and mainlanders with the same courtesy.
Summary: I'll definitely be back next time.

KevinPros:
• Super cheap
• Great location
Cons:
• Thin pad on hard wooden board → feels like sleeping on plywood, very uncomfortable
• Tiny bugs found on the bedsheet
• Persistent foot odor inside unit
• Noise easily travels: heard people chatting at night despite “no talking” rule
• Common area gets extremely loud during meals (loud Tagalog conversations)
• Wi-Fi occasionally cuts out completely
Sleep quality was terrible due to the hard surface and bugs. Everything else is bearable if you’re just crashing for a short time and have very low expectations.

Anonymous UserThe location was good.
Check-in was difficult for foreigners.
I had been traveling in China for three weeks and had the WeChat app.
so it could scan the owner's QR code but I couldn't send her a message.
maybe I needed to be added as a friend first?
finally, someone from the hostel helped me and send a message to the owner
The room was clean but the toilet flushing system was broken.
I realized that the shower hose was placed into the toilet water tank, and I had to use it to fill the tank with water.

When you first arrive at this hostel, it can be a bit confusing to find your way around. Pay attention to other people's reviews with attached photos. You'll also be sent instructions on the website itself, so study them carefully. The bed itself is good, and I shared a room with a couple of Chinese girls. Sound does travel into the capsule, but it's muffled. There's a mirror. However, the 220V power outlet is on the outside, so bring a longer cable and don't forget an adapter. There's a USB port inside.

Guest UserIt's okay, but it's a bit awkward when you come home late at night and the guard is sleeping by the roadside. There's no 24-hour front desk, but there is a guard sleeping by the side. If you're not too picky, it's fine. The room is small, just enough. The location is great, right outside the MTR station and bus station in the TST area. Free water and they even provide an adapter and a dipper.

Anonymous UserI originally booked the Four Seasons Guesthouse, but the staff took me to another one. The Four Seasons Guesthouse in Block A, where I've stayed before, I would rate very highly because all the facilities were new and clean. This time, however, was different. When I arrived, the merchant implied they were full, though I didn't quite catch everything. After checking in, they led me downstairs to Block B. I asked which hotel he was taking me to, and he said it was the same company running both. I thought, 'Okay, the environment should be similar then.' The owner was a dark-skinned foreigner. But once I got there, I was a bit displeased. Communication with the staff in English wasn't smooth, so I just put up with it. The other place they took me to had incomplete facilities; the air conditioner was an old-fashioned wall-mounted unit that couldn't be adjusted, only turned on or off. It was so cold at night I needed two blankets. The bathroom was fine, but the bedsheets were far from as clean as the real Four Seasons Guesthouse; they weren't as pristine white. Luckily, I didn't sleep uncomfortably. Also, the Four Seasons Guesthouse has windows looking outside, but this place's window overlooked the classic, creepy atrium of Chungking Mansions. In short, it was inferior to the real Four Seasons Guesthouse in every way. This rating is for the place I actually stayed at. However, on the bright side, despite being inside Chungking Mansions, it felt quite safe. Along the way, the owner even reminded me to secure my documents and zip up my bags. Many foreign girls also stay there alone, so sisters looking for a low-cost option don't need to worry. The downside is that the hotel experience can be a bit of a lottery.
