A great budget-friendly stay in Zhangye! We had a private twin room. The room was simple but cute, with rather hard Asian-style beds (which was fine for us). It's very central and surrounded by food spots and shops. Loved the traveler vibe here; easy to meet friends. The hostel organizes affordable, well-planned tours, and the English-speaking staff were super helpful. Highly recommend for backpackers!

When I first arrived at the hotel, I saw that the front door was inconspicuous. I remembered the room I saw on Ctrip. I had high hopes. The front desk quickly checked me in and sent me a travel guide. We booked a three-room family suite. I was very happy when I opened the door. The quiet room was bright and clean. There were buckwheat hearts in the pillows and the quilt was silk. The store owner was very attentive. The front desk also sent mineral water in the hot summer. The store owner was very considerate. I also made a return visit after checking out. The store owner was very sincere. There are many restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel. It is not far from the provincial government subway station and a 3-minute walk from the Zhangye Road Vegetable Market. I will stay here again when I go to Lanzhou next time.

Facilities: Complete. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Yes. Service: The boss is very nice, warm and generous. There are many restaurants nearby, so it is very convenient to dine and travel. The owner has his own parking space, so the owner will help you park when it is inconvenient for you to go there yourself. This price has no rivals.

The room is clean and the environment is beautiful. This stay is great! The front desk is quick to handle the formalities and enthusiastically introduces the surroundings. The room facilities are very complete, the bed is soft and comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep. If you have any questions, ask the staff, and they will respond quickly and solve them well. It must be five stars! You can see the outside through the window in the Olympic Sports Center.

Everyone at this small hotel deserves service with a smile award. First, the female receptionist upgraded my room. Second, one of the guys helped me with my bags. Third, another guy took me to the nearby noodle shop and helped me order. Fourth, both women helped me with the laundry and drying process. Lastly, the owner took me to the station. My slip stall of a room had a comfy bed and lovely sheets. The heat was more than adequate. There was a tv tho I did not use it. The internet was fine. The wet shower was adequate for a short stay and had plenty of hot water. The hair dryer did its job beautifully.

The hostel is within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. It’s about 15’ by taxi to Mingsha Shan and 30’ or less to Mogao Grottoes. From train station, it’s about 30rmb or 6rmb ride by public bus, although i wouldnt know how close the bus stop is to hostel. Anyone with a big suitcase, please be aware that the hostel is located on the second floor.

This hotel has very courteous staff and a good location near Wuwei museum and bus stops to get to the train station and other points in the city. The room was clean and with a very comfortable bed, we had a window facing the inside of the block so it was quiet at all hours. Much recommended for the price and would definitely stay again.

The hotel is close to Lanzhou railway station, around 300 metres away although it is not easy to find. The room smelled strongly of tobacco which was unpleasant as there was no window and the shared bathroom was ok if you don't care much about squat toilettes. The best thing about staying there was the location and the bed.

I booked a bed in the female dormitory for 2 nights, my friends booked other beds/rooms. The hostel has all the necessary amenities. There is even a washing machine if you need to do laundry. The bedding was fresh and clean. Plenty of sockets for charging devices. You will need to bring your own shower gel for the shower and the toilets are squat toilets which is standard in China. Met a lovely German girl while staying here. The host is a lovely and very helpful woman, she assisted us with any queries and even gave us some watermelon while we waited for our driver. If you want to visit any of the popular tourist spots in the Zhangye area she can organise a car tour for you and very reasonable prices- all very easy through WeChat. I visited the rainbow mountains/Zhangye National Geopark/Zhangye Danxia Geopark (张掖国家地质公园) and Mati Si temple (马蹄寺) while in Zhangye. The hostel is in a very good location too. The common area is nice and there is a tea station where you can help yourself to a cup of tea. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again.
