This is my third stay, I had a free upgrade room to Deluxe room, that was really great. For the first two times, I was talking about feeling too cold after shower as cold air from the room will be going into the bathroom through the airventilated door. This time, the room is too warm, the temperature inside the bathroom after shower is just nice, but too warm to sleep at night, covering the quilt makes me too warm, without it would be too cold. Told the receptionist couple of times and they said maintenance had tried to turn it on to the max but the speed was still slow. However, I have a friend staying for the same night in different room, the fan speed of the air-conditioning in his room was really strong. I guess there's something wrong with the air-conditioning in my room. Other than that, everything's great.

We had a very pleasant stay at Cityinn Hotel with our family. It is a new hotel and everything feels fresh, modern, and very well maintained. The room was spotless, you can really feel that it’s clean and new, which made us very comfortable staying there with our family. All the basic needs were thoughtfully provided, from toiletries to clean towels and comfortable bedding. The room layout was practical and cosy, perfect for a family stay. The environment was quiet and relaxing, allowing us to rest well. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. Cityinn Hotel is a great choice if you are looking for a clean, new, and comfortable hotel for a family trip. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next visit.

Overall, the stay was okay and met basic expectations. The facilities provided were reasonable considering the price, so it’s fair not to expect too much. However, cleanliness—especially under the beds—needs more attention, as it was quite dusty. With better housekeeping in this area, the experience could be improved. That said, for a reasonably priced stay with adequate facilities, it is acceptable.

In Kota Kinabalu, accommodation is generally categorized into two price ranges: above and below 500MYR. For those above 500MYR, there are only a handful of decent options, but they often lack convenient transportation. For those under 500MYR, the quality you get pretty much depends on how much you spend, and frankly, it's a bit of a gamble – a 400MYR room isn't necessarily better than a 100MYR one, it's all down to luck. This hotel, however, gets a big thumbs up from me! The room size is around 15-17 square meters, so not huge, but everything is fully equipped, clean, and tidy, which is super important for a Libra like me. The only minor downsides were the insufficient hot water (though after showering with cool water on the island, even lukewarm water felt warm back at the hotel, haha!). Also, the parking lot behind the hotel had about 15 minutes of noisy trash collection every night. Overall, I'd give it a 4.5-star recommendation – it really blew the competition out of the water! The hotel is located at a strategic location with lots of eateries downstairs and close distance by car to various attractions. Hotel room is clean with toiletries and mineral water provided. Can hardly hear any noises from the road despite it is situated next to a road, hence we all had a good sleep. A manual was also provided to facilitate the check in process, response from the person in charge is also swift. Overall is good.

Room was spacious and very clean. Very comfortable with 2 pillows each bed. Toilet also very clean and has enough towels for 3 of us. Hotel staff also was very friendly and helpful especially during check in. Breakfast buffet not many choices of food but still enough to make stomach full. Location wise very good. Near to Pasar Philippines and next to Central Point mall. Easy to get anything around there. Had a very pleasant stay and will consider coming back.

Good value hotel. Pro: Free bottled water, and free water filter at the ground floor. The staff are polite. Clean room.Close to gaya street. Con: The bathroom has a bad smell on rainy days (that's normal, just leave the windows of the bathroom open)

The hotel was very comfortable. I stayed here for four days in Kota Kinabalu. It is located in the city center, which is very convenient. It is surrounded by the famous Gaya Street, which is full of delicious food. It was great!

For a start, honestly we were greeted with unfriendly front desk staff… the room allocated to us was not what we had booked and when upon request the room change to what we had booked, the staff gave us a silence treatment… However, during our stay, basically the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. Appreciate them to make up the unpleasant experience. The room is spacious and bed is clean. However, certain areas will needed some cleaning and maintenance.
