Hotéis 3-Star em Wakayama Prefecture, Japan

The location is a bit remote, the scenery is beautiful, the transportation is not very convenient, it is suitable for self-driving tours, the food and hot springs are acceptable, the waiter's English is not fluent, there are some communication problems, I arrived at the hotel after one o'clock, because the check-in starts at three o'clock, no water is provided, and I need to check out at 10 o'clock. Late check-out costs more than 2,000 yen per hour. It feels like a large residential building, which is suitable for leisure and vacation.

It wasn't the most pleasant experience considering that the males n females had to share toilets and that some other rooms had private toilets n bath instead. And also the fact that the walls are super thin hence whomever is connected to your room if their loud or they don't like your voice volume than you might get kicked to the curb. It's a very frustrating experience for sure since it tests one's patience n ability to let go. It's training for the customers n monks alike. I met a Japanese friend here whom shared with me how rude the monks and the staff were to one another n I think that shows the quality of this place however we were pretty lucky as there was a male who spoke mandarin n a male who spoke English both quite well in this place n though the mandarin speaker was quite condescending towards the other monks, the English speaker was really nice n patient overall. He helped me out a lot since we couldn't communicate with the others n seemed to be the only customers that spoke English whom booked this place by ourselves, the others around seemed to have a guide n were usually in groups. It's a unique experience n I recommend just staying for one night or going to the other temples. I went for the ajikan meditation at eko in temple n the service n cleanliness was on another level for sure. The food here was also really simple. Also a must see are the tomb area n the walk to kobold daishi temple. As a sensitive person, I felt the overwhelming love n presence and the cleanse of my heart of this amazing soul over there. To me, that was worth it. Remember to clean yourself with the water out front before going in.... and of course to the amazing fateful friendship that occurred for us with the jap-********* couple we met. It was the next fav of mine after the time spent in nara visitor center. That was truly magickal n how I wished we stayed longer there. But all was good cause the way I planned this trip made it so that we would have this fateful encounter to the end of our trip.

Highly recommended. Good private location, superb service, big indoor and outdoor onsen, superb view and exceptional service. I stayed during end of Nov. 24. The hotel is value for money indeed. The room is definitely not 17m as it s indicated. It s very spacious with great private sea bay view. I stayed during end here one night and stayed at KAMENOI hotel another night. I truly prefer warmth atmosphere here. The outdoor onsen here is certainly better as well! If I go to Katsuura again, I will definitely stay here.

Nice view nice place, keep you relax staying in the hotel, free parking right beside the hotel, new experience of dinner with great cheese, and a set of breakfast with unlimited coffee give you refresh in morning. But beware of their dinner time at 5:30 and breakfast time in 7:30 that may different than expected.

The hotel is situated at a secluded corner of Wakayama prefecture. It is much preferable to drive here rather than relying on the infrequent hotel shuttle. Public transport is otherwise non existent. There are no restaurants around the hotel. However the hotel provides delicious meals with abundant fresh seafood. The in room dining experience is superb. The hotel staff service is impeccable. The room has a spectacular sea view allowing you to see the sunset on clear days. The onsen also faces the sea which provides a relaxing experience. A downside is that the hotel does not seem to sanitize the slippers for indoor use. All hotel guests had to change to their slippers to access their indoor facilities.

The environment is beautiful, and the weather is great, perfect for watching both the sunrise and sunset in spring. The coffee at the lobby's café is delicious, and they even have a microwave, oven, and toaster, which is super convenient if you want to prepare something to eat. There's a bus stop right across from the hotel entrance. If you turn left after exiting the hotel, you'll find Hongfa Hot Spring, facing the sea with beautiful spring blossoms.

Meal. Seafood bowl is recommended. The body is big and there are many kinds, and there are many vinegar rice, and it is good to fried. Room. The annex is good value. It is large and has many outlets and is comfortable with two air conditioners. The sofa is also big and comfortable. Bath. The hot spring feels thick. The skin itself does not get better, but it is surface sweet.

The onsen (hot spring) was fantastic. For men, there were two large pools (inner and outer) plus three individual pools. It was rarely crowded; during the National Day holiday, there were usually only four or five people bathing at any one time, making it perfect for Chinese guests who aren't used to Japanese hot springs. Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there's a large public area on the first floor where guests can heat up their own food in the microwave, have coffee, or read a book. I'd definitely go back again! 😁 (PS: I stayed at six or seven guesthouses throughout Japan, and this one had the most comfortable mattress and linens—much more comfortable than the newly renovated Marriott in Kobe. For a Fairfield brand, it was way above average. Lying on this bed after a tiring hike on the Kumano Kodo was so relaxing.) There's an island park near the hotel where you can watch the sunrise and see the sea (but the grass and trees are a bit dense, so you'll need to go with friends).

It's a yellow building in the shopping district, about a 5-minute walk from JR Kii-Katsuura Station, and it's easy to find. It appears to be run by a small staff, as there is a phone at the front desk. When I contacted them, a staff member responded immediately. They carefully checked my accommodation details, making sure I had brochures for sightseeing in the area and offering recommendations. The building itself is old, but well-maintained and I didn't feel particularly inconvenienced. Loungewear, toothbrushes, a kettle with green tea, and an air purifier are also provided. Makeup remover, face wash, lotion, and emulsion are not provided, but I brought these with me so this wasn't a problem. Check-out was smooth; I simply put my key in the designated box. There are only a few accommodations near the station, so I was glad to be able to stay in a well-located place at a low cost.

The room was very spacious and traditional. The bathroom had a japanese bath which we appreciated very much. The monks were very welcoming and nice, they explained everything. We also attended the morning prayer at 7 am. Overall it was a great experience. The dinner and breakfast were delicious.
