"Arrived early - 40 minutes - asked if possible to check in. Told to wait ten minutes and then told ok. Went to room and not ready. Housekeeping not aware but did say they'd do our room quickly. No problem. Just wanted to use loo and would come back later. Returned much later. Room ready and clean. Bedroom bin had not been emptied. Very noisy from traffic through the night. Pillows uncomfortable. Breakfast pretty poor. Hot offering sparse and cold. Continental limited. Staff were very pleasant which was lovely and probably made up for the shortcomings. Would choose somewhere quieter, ideally."

"This is a gem of a hotel - we arrived very late and left in the early hours due to catching a flight from Birmingham airport (10 mins away). So needless to say we didn’t see a great deal, but our room was stylish and spotless. If we are to fly out of Birmingham in the future we will ensure we give ourselves enough time to sample the restaurant etc."

"Tricky to find your way to this place and at night the location is very isolated didn't feel safe to walk from the Bullring.
There was a water problem and I feel it should have been communicated this at check-in however was compensated for water issue and thankful.
I stayed in an ensuit and I know it's a hostel however there should at least be a kettle in the room just you get towels for this just my observation.
Overall it was a pleasant stay as I would imagine they don't have water issues always."

"If you want to use the hot water, you need to turn on the boost button by the boiler 20 minutes before you want to use it. Apartment was great for 1-2 nights, but it was lacking in some facilities - the TV wasn't properly connected to the Internet so couldn't use iPlayer or Netflix on the TV. There was no baking tray or roasting tray to be able to use the oven. The grill pan was filthy. The cups had to all be washed again. The dishwasher worked great and so did the fridge/freezer. Nice amenities in terms of sofa, placemats, teapot. Only four teabags for two people for three days. Reception is not open on Saturday or Sunday. There is no one site, they do have books and dvds to borrow at reception, but no one is there at the weekend. It was in a great location. Would stay again. Lightbulbs needed changing in the bedroom in the lamps as they kept flickering. There was also a lightbulb that stopped working in the kitchen. Only one plastic cup given in bathroom. But absolutely perfect location for the price. Although, be warned the bedrooms are not sound proof, please bring earplugs as there is a lot of noise outdoors."

I had an enjoyable stay at the Britannia Hotel Coventry. The location is excellent, especially being right next to the bus station, making it very convenient for travelling around the city.
The front desk staff were friendly and provided great service throughout my stay. My room key stopped working a few times, but each time the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. I also needed to ask about using the older-style shower hose, and the staff were polite and happy to help.
The room was clean and tidy, with fresh towels provided. It was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a kettle, a hairdryer, and an iron, which were all useful extras.
The bathroom could do with a bit of a refresh, but it was clean and everything worked as expected. There wasn't any air conditioning, although there was a desk fan next to the bed, which helped keep the room comfortable.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The friendly service, convenient location, and good room facilities made for a pleasant visit, and I would happily stay here again.

Found an excellent deal online for a single room at £26. Hotel is in an alleyway right in the middle of the town centre which is convenient. Arrived 10 mins before check in time to find that no one was at reception. Fortunately, A helpful and sympathetic housekeeper was present and called up one of the staff who said they were half an hour away. A queue started to build up at reception.
After 40 mins of waiting and checking in, the key card to the room didn’t work so I had to go downstairs again which was a cardio workout. Elevator didn’t work and the place was like a maze so a lot of walking.
Room was pretty basic but clean, there was no remote for the TV. Bathroom was immaculate and sanitised with a pair of two clean towels. For the price, the room was decent and can’t complain. Exactly as shown in the website images but customer service is nearly non-existent. Had to wait half an hour due to zero staff at reception. Another downside was no AC so the room is warm. Would return but not in a rush.

Guest UserThe hotel is perfect for tourists who want to transfer from Birmingham to another city. All equipment is perfect and advanced and the cost is reasonable. HOWEVER, the female receptionist is very rude and irritable, when I checked in with her, there’s the same name as me booked this hotel and I just double checked the days and whether I booked the breakfast or not she showed her impatience and rudeness.

Guest UserThis hotal was lovely we had to do a late check in after 9 clock as we got hear late but the staff service was fantastic very helpful and very polite would definitely stay hear again breakfast was a buffet breakfast help your self the only thing they didt have was fried eggs but they had scrambled egg thy had tea coffee hot chocolate machine and also help your self to apple juice orange juice lots of staff around clear area were people had been ready for other people to sit as have breakfast area was nice clear room was clear and tidy nice shower and toilet room beds comfortable had a family room with a double bed and a sofa bed .

5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.

Really unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, there was a huge amount of dust anywhere that I was sneezing continuously.
Also, the most disgusting thing were the bedsheets, stained with yellow spots! I asked for a new set of bedsheets and the reception gave them to me and I had to put them on, because there was no one of the cleaning team to do it.
Very very very unsatisfied.

shrugI visited this hotel recently whilst I was in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful with getting me checked in. I was also pleased with the room itself, the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean overall, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future.

Close to amenities. Tram is just 2 minutes from hotel. Easy to get around places.
Breakfast is not that great; variety is limiteda d especially croissant on day 3 stay is not a fresh ones and not able to split and chew.
