"Where do you start. Greeted us with sincerity and had bn upgraded. The Bures were beautiful, everything you need. But could have used a bigger fridge .Gardens were immaculate. Staff were amazing, kind, genuinely friendly. Went out of their way to know our names. At dinner we were welcomed with their welcome song. We stayed twice. We had already booked our timeshare for our second week and were very sad to leave. All the staff came together to sing Fijis good bye song ‘Isa Lei’ which brought tears to our eyes. Only spent three nights at our timeshare and rang Crusoes to say we were coming back. They welcomed us back with open arms. Snorkeling was great. Activities were pre organized for the next day. We loved every moment and we will def be coming back next year. We made lifelong friends"

"We chose to stay here for one night as a transit, which helped given our flight was delayed and we were travelling with a toddler. We waited for 30 mins for the free shuttle as we didn’t know we were waiting in the wrong area. They didn’t have a driver waiting with a sign and they didn’t communicate with help desk (we contacted help desk to call the hotel to let them know we arrived) about clear instructions where to meet. Waiting with a toddler wasn’t fun, so would appreciate if you had a driver waiting or check on flight status, despite delay - as I provided them the details or wrote in the email to wait straight ahead, not where the taxis were waiting.
Hotel was a few minutes drive from airport. Room was spacious, shower was ok, bed was ok (sheets need bleach as there were old - not fresh dirty marks on it), they didn’t provide free water or filtered water, so we had to buy water. Breakfast was a fair spread. The playground looked great for kids/ toddler but it was raining so we couldn’t use it. Simple things (free water, better communication with shuttle, cleaner sheets) could have improved the experience and that’s why I’m providing this rating,"

"The toilet in the room wasn't flushed or hadn't been flushed properly. The landlord said I was wrong (he thought I meant a green liquid), but actually he was wrong; it wasn't green liquid, otherwise I wouldn't have had to brush my teeth in the outside bathroom the next day. (I only discovered the toilet problem when I got up to use the bathroom the next day, then went back to sleep, so I didn't take a picture. Later, I was busy checking out and didn't take any more pictures. I washed up outside the bathroom the first night, so I only noticed it the next day. I flushed twice but it wouldn't flush, so I had to use the outside bathroom). Aside from this one issue, which the landlord seemed unaware of, he resolved all the other problems he could. And since we were all Chinese, he allowed me to check out an hour or two late (all the Fijian apartments I've stayed in so far have required check-out before 11 pm), so he's a good landlord. The hygiene issue was probably due to him being in a remote location and not being aware of the situation, or his cleaning staff not thoroughly checking the toilet… these are probably issues that can be improved. In other words, this apartment could potentially be a perfect place for Chinese tourists visiting Fiji in the future."

"Perfect stay in Fiji! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast menu was great — you can choose and pay for it in the morning, which was very convenient. The transfer from the airport was easy and convenient, costing 20 FJD. The room itself was average, and new towels were only provided upon request. Also, please note that the room has only Australian-type charging sockets, so you’ll need a converter if coming from another region. The only real downside was the WiFi, which was very slow and unreliable."

"Definitely the best stay we had during our 2 weeks on the Fiji. The staff is very friendly (which is quite common in Fiji) but they way the make you feeling to be a part of the family was exceptional.
Furthermore the activities and the entertainment, which are included in the price is, are fun and really nice to watch.
If we come back to Fiji one day, we will definitely come back to the Likuri Island Resort."

I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice!
The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes.
The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible."

"We had a lovely stay at Mercure Nadi with our whole family and few friends! 💛 The service was great — the staff, especially the receptionists, housekeeping, waiters and waitresses, were warm, friendly, and attentive. The hotel also offers good facilities, and while it may not have the full amenities of a five-star resort, the people and atmosphere definitely made up for it.
My only complaint would be the bed — I wish it were softer, as I didn’t get the best sleep over the past few days. 😅 Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to enjoy the pool because of a packed schedule, but it looked really inviting!
Overall, a pleasant experience in Fiji. Vinaka! 🌺"

Sa_haThe First Landing seems a bit out of touch and was surely one of the first hotels in the area. It now has a retro charm in many ways, but when I was there, there was a lot of painting and renovation work going on. The grounds are incredibly spacious and very quiet. The rooms are quite large, and there are big verandas in front of the bungalows, protected by mosquito nets, similar to those in Florida. However, the prices are a bit steep, and you have to shell out 10 Fijian dollars for a bottle of still water. Massages are also significantly cheaper in town, though perhaps not as idyllic in the spa pavilion. Otherwise, it's located outside of Nadi, and you really need a car. Next door (within walking distance) is the yacht harbor with a nice bar, where there's always something going on and locals and tourists mingle. For the days leading up to your connecting flight, it's definitely nicer and more relaxing than staying at Nadi Beach next to the runway.

Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice!

All the staff members were absolutely amazing — their hospitality and service were top-notch! Illy's hospitality at JB’s bar and Pizza was amazing. You really don’t need to go outside the resort — everything you could want is right here! From delicious food and refreshing drinks to fun activities and a beautiful pool, it has it all. The resort has it's own Taxi which is reasonable and convenient. They provide currency exchange as well. Truly one of the best places to stay for a relaxing holiday infront of the beach. 🌴✨

Check in was after 3pm, check out 10:30 , and you have to get the towel from the reception. Too many rules plastered in the room as if you are going to rob them. A deposit of FJD50 in cash is required (no drinks in the room whatsoever, just instant coffee). I asked if I can check out before 12nn but was allowed only up to 11am. When I went back to get my luggage, the lady told me that I was supposed to have checked out already, without even asking if I already did. Only the cleaning staff were helpful. Would not recommend.

Guest UserI really enjoyed my stay here and would happily stay again. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was amazing, and the view was beautiful. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even better.
The only minor issues were that one of the toilets was broken during my stay, and the locker assigned to me was also broken, which was a little inconvenient. Aside from that, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hostel.

Overall, the stay was just okay for a short period. The staff were friendly, but the facilities are clearly old and worn out – they really need urgent investment. The bathroom, unfortunately, was a disaster: a simple plastic seat, loose fixtures, and only hand soap. On the positive side: the pool was fine, the people were nice, and the food offered some variety. There are alternatives right outside the hotel, so you're not dependent on it. Conclusion: For a short overnight stay of up to two days – for example, upon arrival or departure – the hotel is acceptable. It's not recommended for longer stays.

Guest UserVinaka, Tokatoka, for your wonderful hospitality. Thank you to the front desk attendants for being so helpful to my friend and me when we were having trouble with our cruise reservation. They were nice enough to lend us their desk phone. Also, we were able to check in early at 8am without an additional surcharge. I cannot thank you enough for that.

Guest UserI stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though.
Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available.
There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops.
The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling!
My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

JackH94Myself and my partner were both so impressed with Maui Creek Bures. We had an amazing 3 days staying here during our travels in Fiji.
Ken is an unbelievable host - the definition of can’t do enough for you. Any request we had he jumped on without hesitation and had plenty of suggestions to make our stay so memorable. It’s rare you come across a 10/10 host, but we certainly did here.
The accommodation was very clean and modern, containing all appliances needed to self cater with ease. The bed may be the comfiest bed in all of Fiji.
The location is excellent with all interests and amenities a short walking distance away. The place itself is incredibly quiet and peaceful where we felt so relaxed.
And last but not least a special mention has to go to the resident dog, Nacho! She made our experience even more special and even showed us her favourite spots around town! We are sad we only got to spend 3 days with her but know that the next guests here will love her just as much as we did.
Highly, highly recommend this place. Best value for money I think we’ve ever had whilst travelling. Would return in a heartbeat.

I recently stayed at Gecko's Resort and had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. I especially appreciated the little touches like free DVDs available to borrow – a nice bonus for quiet evenings in.
The location is great too – just a short distance from the beautiful Sigatoka Sand Dunes and the Pacific Ocean, so there’s no shortage of things to see and do nearby.
One downside, however, is the Wi-Fi. Access requires a voucher, and if you're streaming videos (like on YouTube), the data only lasts around two hours. This was a bit inconvenient, especially in an age where connectivity is expected to be seamless.
Overall, Gecko's Resort is a great option for a peaceful getaway with a few nice extras. Just be prepared to manage your internet usage or consider unplugging and enjoying the serene surroundings.
