I landed after 11 PM, and around 9 PM, the hotel actually called me to ask for my estimated arrival time. I said it might be around 2 or 3 AM (first stop after landing: Haidilao!). To my surprise, they added me on a messaging app and completed the check-in process online for me. I didn't have to knock on doors and disturb anyone in the middle of the night, which was incredibly thoughtful! It was pitch black when I arrived, so I didn't get a good look, but in the morning, I pulled back the curtains and was completely blown away by the sunrise! It's only a five or six-minute walk to the beach and about ten minutes to the subway station – just a leisurely stroll after a meal. The location is absolutely perfect! Plus, it's super close to Xiding Restaurant, just a three or four-minute walk away. Foodies will be thrilled~ The owner is really considerate, asking every day if I needed room cleaning. The room even had a fridge and a washing machine, which was so practical! Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all provided, and the hairdryer was super powerful – a lifesaver for us long-haired girls! The cleaning lady did an amazing job too, not missing a single corner~ And the grilled sausages at the downstairs supermarket were surprisingly delicious, haha. Finally, being my clumsy self, I left my own shampoo at the hotel, but the owner promptly reminded me and has already arranged for a courier to pick it up, hehe. Overall, I was completely satisfied in every way. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit and have already recommended it to my friends!

As someone who pays close attention to detail, this five-star hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The room facilities are impeccably maintained, and the smart control system is incredibly responsive, allowing voice control for lights and curtains – truly a high-tech experience. The bedding offers just the right softness, and the pillows come in both soft and firm options, showing a deep understanding of sleep needs. The hygiene is exemplary; there's not a speck of dust on the desk or a water stain on the vanity, and even the minibar glassware is sparkling clean. The service is thoughtful without being intrusive; the front desk proactively asks about check-in preferences, and housekeeping tidily folds any scattered clothes. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient shopping and dining nearby, yet it remains completely undisturbed by any noise. Although the breakfast selection isn't massive, every dish is exquisite and delicious, with the made-to-order noodle station being particularly amazing. The attention to detail in every aspect truly deserves a five-star rating!

Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether.

After this trip, I will never forget this hotel🏨, and I plan to come here again with friends when I have time. My husband chose the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel is very close to the seaside, just a minute or two walk away. The decoration inside the hotel makes people feel particularly comfortable, with reasonable layout and practical placement of items. It feels like the decoration design is very thoughtful. I heard that there were no vacancies when we booked a suite. The big bed we booked was also very good. This hotel was the most comfortable hotel to stay in during this trip. In addition, the breakfast here is also very rich, and the service staff are also very good. I will definitely come again next time. grateful

The two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family of three adults. The room itself was spacious, bright, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The service was incredibly thoughtful! The dining table, which also served as a desk, was very practical. Having a Siemens washer-dryer combo, microwave, and a full set of tableware made our stay incredibly convenient. With a supermarket just downstairs where we could easily pick up laundry detergent, doing laundry daily was a breeze. The hotel's amenities, including the swimming pool, billiards room, and gym, were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the delicious Japanese cuisine at the restaurant. The subway station is conveniently located right outside to the right, and a ten-minute walk straight ahead takes you to the scenic Donggang Fountain by the sea. Our few days of vacation here were truly relaxing and enjoyable. Dalian is a truly wonderful city, and the Donggang area is particularly pleasant. We'll definitely choose this hotel again for our next visit. Thank you!

Novotel will be my top choice next time I visit Dalian! Absolutely fantastic! This was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my Dalian trip. For the first two days, unfamiliar with the city, I booked a highly-rated hotel online based on its location. To my dismay, it didn't even have blackout curtains, and I was woken up by sunlight shining on my bed past 5 AM. I decisively switched to Novotel, which, coincidentally, is located in the same building. I regret that Novotel wasn't a recommended option when I made my initial booking online. **Location:** Situated in the heart of Zhongshan District, it's near Dalian Times Square (luxury shopping) and very close to Zhongshan Square and the charming Nanshan Street. Its excellent location makes it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. A taxi to Xinghai Square only costs around 10-20 RMB. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and leisure options in the vicinity. **Ambiance:** The hotel boasts a 'light luxury' design, which feels very comfortable and inviting. It's impeccably clean, fresh, and hygienic, with a complimentary fruit platter provided daily. **Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive and include everything you'd expect. There's both a laundry room and a well-equipped gym. The on-site restaurant also serves a delicious breakfast! **Service:** The service is exceptionally warm and friendly, truly making you feel at home. The staff are polite and greet you every time they see you. Even the cleaning staff proactively offer a greeting with a smile. The only minor drawback is that it shares elevators with several other hotels, and there's no key card required to access floors directly, which could be a slight security concern.

The hotel is located near the beach, the windows give a beautiful view on the sea. You can find a lot of shops and good places to eat near the hotel. The reception workers are really helpful and speak really good English, so if you’re a foreigner, there won’t be difficulties in communication. The room is boy and bright with a nice bathroom and all the amenities. One thing that made me unhappy is a dirty towel and a spot on the pillowcase, but after I contacted with the reception, the problem was solved quickly

Facilities: A bit dated, with small cracks on the cabinet above the mini-fridge and some wall areas, as shown in the last two photos. Overall, it's nothing major and doesn't affect the stay; considering it's a hotel over ten years old, one shouldn't be too demanding. The hotel's facilities are generally complete, with standard luxury hotel amenities. The breakfast is decent; it offers more variety than some Westins but less than some Marriotts. However, the quality is good, especially the desserts which are delicious, and there's a wide selection of juices and milk. Some Marriott hotels even offer a full Cantonese dim sum spread, whereas here there are only a few hot dishes, making the variety seem limited, but the taste is excellent. The potatoes in the pork rib stew are very fragrant, and the boiled shrimp are quite large. All the fruits weren't sweet enough; the fruit quality could be improved. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: A landmark building in Dalian, nestled against the mountain and overlooking the sea – definitely worth a visit. It's even more stunning for photos at night. It's about a 10 to 15-minute walk downhill, and a bit far from the subway station, but it's away from the city's hustle and bustle, and getting a taxi is very convenient. There's a sky garden on the 5th floor, and the lobby is magnificent; any photo taken there looks great. Service: Thoughtful and attentive. Someone helps open car doors and handle luggage upon arrival. There's a dedicated butler service that tries its best to accommodate reasonable guest requests. The mini-bar requires extra payment, but a welcome fruit platter and dessert were provided, along with a large bottle of homemade beer. This hotel's beer isn't available online, but it's genuinely delicious.

This hotel is close to Xinghai Square, and you can see the fountain right from the window. It's a short walk to catch the light show on the Cross-Sea Bridge and feed the seagulls. Plus, there's a night market nearby, which makes it really fun. The front desk staff were fantastic when we checked in; they provided excellent service. We arrived early, and they promptly helped us store our luggage so we didn't miss out on any fun. The cleanliness was good, and they replenished the complimentary bottled water in a timely manner. Although it's near the road and the square, it gets quiet at night, so it doesn't disturb your rest.

This was an excellent experience. The hotel's location is superb; you step right onto the beach as soon as you exit, making seaside strolls incredibly convenient. From the rooms to the restaurant and the service, everything deserves five stars. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, with a large floor-to-ceiling window offering an endless view of the sea and a clear sight of the cross-sea bridge – truly a fantastic view. The breakfast at the restaurant was high quality; I tried several dishes, and they all tasted great, especially the beef noodles with their large, tender, and flavorful beef chunks. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly, resolving any issues promptly and efficiently, which made me feel comfortable and welcome. If I get the chance to visit Dalian again, I'll definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again; it offers incredible value for money.
