I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Pingyao. The location, right inside the old city walls, was perfect for exploring the ancient town on foot and it was very quiet in the evening, ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and nicely heated, which was especially important given the cold temperatures outside. A special mention goes to the owner and his wife for the excellent pick-up service from the train station, which made my arrival smooth and stress-free.

Our stay at the Datong Yungang Hotel truly exceeded expectations! The hotel's overall decor is opulent and magnificent, grand yet tasteful. The room was exceptionally spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering expansive views – cityscapes during the day and distant ancient city lights at night. It was a very comfortable stay. Families with children needn't worry at all – the hotel is very kid-friendly, and the staff would proactively smile and greet our child. The swimming pool was clean and the water temperature was just right, though at 1.6 meters deep, it's more suitable for adults or teenagers who can swim. Little ones would need extra caution regarding safety. The biggest surprise was that Fenglin Pavilion, a super famous local restaurant in Datong, is located right on the hotel's first floor! For dinner, we tried their signature Sweet and Sour Mandarin Fish (Songshu Guiyu). It was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour. The sauce was glossy, and the presentation was exquisite – absolutely textbook quality. Our entire family raved about it! Our room was spotlessly clean, and parking was incredibly convenient – the underground parking lot is huge, making self-driving trips stress-free. Plus, it's only about a 30-minute drive from the hotel to the Yungang Grottoes, so the location is quite ideal. In summary, whether for a family trip, a holiday, or if you want to experience high-quality accommodation in Datong, this place is highly recommended! We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Datong!

This place is absolutely wonderful. Centrally located, the building is magnificent and our room was a dream (we were also upgraded and our room was on two levels with a nice balcony and a really spacious living area). Staff was really helpful and kind - they also hired a driver for us since we wanted to visit Hanging Monastery directly from the high speed station, before even checking in at the hotel: they took care perfectly of our necessity and the organisation was flawless. I really recommend this place to anybody! you will not regret it!!!

I specifically booked a small courtyard room with a private hot spring. Unexpectedly, this impromptu decision turned out to be the perfect and unexpectedly perfect part of my trip. The moment I arrived, I was captivated: the bluestone path led the way inside, first around a small koi pond, and then around the corner, I stumbled upon a staircase and a library. The moment I opened the door to the small courtyard, I couldn't help but exclaim, ”Wow!” A few lush bamboos lined the courtyard, and the room boasted a private hot spring, a large bed with thick gauze curtains, and a small coffee table on the tatami mat nearby. Just thinking about sitting here sipping tea after a soak in the hot springs filled me with a sense of comfort. Even more heartwarming was the front desk attendant—seeing me carrying my luggage, the young man immediately came over to take it. Without waiting for me to ask, he proactively said, ”The courtyard you reserved is at the very back. We'll take you there.” He explained everything along the way, from how to use the private bathhouse and whether to add extra bedding to which mutton soup restaurant in the ancient city is the most authentic and the best photo spots with the lights on at night. He explained everything in detail, making it easier than having a travel guide. This little world in Xinzhou Ancient City, with its elegant pavilions and flowing water, and its cozy atmosphere, as well as its genuine hospitality, brought a heartwarming end to this prayer trip. It turns out that sometimes, not following the plan can lead to unexpected beauty!

The biggest highlight is undoubtedly the window view of the Tang Dynasty-style architecture, though the window view from inside the room is a bit awkward, but that's not a major issue. The room was clean, tidy, and odorless, and complimentary snacks and drinks were provided. The front desk staff were also very polite and friendly. The location is excellent, right opposite the entrance to Huayan Temple, with many great dining options nearby. Parking is convenient. However, I do have a few suggestions: 1. Breakfast ends at 9 AM. When checking in, the front desk asked guests whether they preferred knife-cut noodles or lamb offal soup for the next morning and registered their choices. So, shouldn't preparations have been made in advance according to this? It's unacceptable to tell guests after 9 AM that there's no breakfast left. Furthermore, the butler added guests on WeChat, so they could have easily checked before breakfast service ended. Given that there weren't many guests, breakfast service could be much more personalized. 2. When guests check out, the staff should proactively ask if they need a parking voucher. 3. I asked the front desk about Shanhua Temple, and they seemed completely unfamiliar with it. Those in the tourism industry really need to do more basic homework. 4. The buttons for the handheld showerhead and the rain shower were reversed.

This sense of ritual that far exceeds expectations makes the ordinary check-in moment sublimate into a precious memory anchor. The children's surprised cheers and the smile in the eyes of the lover are the best response to this intention. In the hinterland of Dongnanyi, you can enter the thousand-year-old picture scroll of the ancient city by pushing the window. The greatest charm of Mu Qingchen is that it is located in the beating ”heart” of the ancient city - Southeast Town. When you get up in the morning and take a stroll, you will be immersed in the fireworks of the city. Special restaurants, cultural and creative shops, and ancient courtyards are lined up. It takes a short walk to reach the magnificent Huayan Temple, and it is also close to climb the city wall to overlook the magnificent ancient city. This irreplaceable location gift allows us to truly ”live in the scenery”. Mu Qingchen is far more than a place to sleep for a night. It uses the bricks and tiles of the ancient city as paper and the caring service as ink to write a chapter of the anniversary full of warmth and surprises for us. If you are eager to find a place with convenience, style and humanistic care in the thousand-year texture of Datong, Mu Qingchen will be a name that lives up to your expectations in your journey - it understands the weight of ritual, and knows how to make the laughter of a family echo for a long time under the ancient city wall.

五一小長假選擇了來運城體驗悠久的歷史和文化，很幸運的預訂到了希爾頓歡朋酒店，對於酒店整體很滿意，但是也要有幾個槽點來和大家分享，希望能幫到更多的來運城的遊客，也希望酒店能越來越好！ 先説優點： 1、酒店位置應該在新區，周圍環境乾淨整潔，比較安靜，交通便利，距離機場打車20分鐘，附近也有很多公交站可以選擇前往市中心各個地點； 2、酒店內部裝修和房間內明亮雅緻，基礎設施一應俱全，酒店大堂還有點心和飲料，並且提供書籍和下午茶點，很貼心； 3、最值得讚揚的是精緻多樣的自助早餐，不僅中西式餐食都有，而且每天不斷換新，味道還好吃，大廚現場製作運城特色美食，比如雞湯餛飩、各類麪條、饃夾肉等，每天早上都吃的特別開心滿足； 4、工作人員都很熱情親切，從前台到保潔到餐廳廚師，每一次遇到都會主動打招呼並且提供服務，幫助解決問題。 再來吐槽一下： 1、酒店的電梯速度有些慢，而且不顯示在幾樓，遇到着急的時候等待真的很讓人焦慮； 2、房間內空調風速太小製冷效果慢，風速太大噪音就很大； 3、房間內牆壁上請注意及時養護，看到好多污漬，雖然無傷大雅但是看到了就不太舒服； 4、保潔打掃衹是打掃，雖然這5天4晚都是我自己在住，但是我更希望看到的是消毒而不是表面清潔，雖然這對保潔來説壓力比較大，但是對客人來説更安心； 5、最要命的槽點！衞生間和浴室的門有磁吸，無法靜音關閉，不論是隨手一關還是輕輕貼上都會發齣劇烈的聲響！尤其是晚上入睡的時候，像我這樣睡眠質量不好的人真慶幸自己帶了耳塞，這個槽點強烈建議改善！ 雖然有吐槽但是這幾天的旅程很開心，希望酒店能更優化改進，希望運城旅遊更紅火興隆！

The hotel is very stylishly designed, and the lobby and rooms are full of art. It's perfect for taking photos! The room is clean and tidy, and the bedding is soft and I slept soundly. I was completely satisfied from check-in to check-out. I was very detail-conscious and couldn't find any faults. The housekeepers were super enthusiastic and prepared a detailed check-in guide. They also provide free parking, which is worry-free and considerate. The location is also very convenient, quiet but not remote. From toiletries to small decorations, you can feel the care. The price-performance ratio is super high! I will definitely choose this place next time I come, and I strongly recommend it to my friends~

There are many hotels and homestays in the scenic area, and Novotel Hotel should be the best. It is convenient to park by car, the environment is beautiful, the room facilities are complete, the maintenance is good, and the toiletries are good. In particular, the service is up to standard. The front desk lady Coco upgraded our room and helped us arrange the tour route very carefully. The young man was even more enthusiastic to help us deliver our luggage to the room and send us to the shuttle bus. The restaurant is large and comfortable, and you can order at any time before 9 pm. There are both Chinese and Western food for breakfast, but there are too few service staff, and there is room for improvement in food variety, placement, and additions, especially after the tourist group has a meal, the dining table is messy and the meal is not replenished in time. Stayed for two nights and visited Kangjiaping, Talpo Village, and the ice cave. I was very impressed and had a good rest in the hotel👍

An old-school five-star hotel, a bit dated, but everything else was great. We received complimentary welcome fruits, and my friend said the bed was the most comfortable they'd slept in these past few days. The front desk lady was incredibly nice and helpful, even recommending local eateries. Oh, and the stir-fried greens at breakfast were absolutely delicious!
