GgroteThe guesthouse is situated within a canyon, offering expansive views. To the left is the Baling River Bridge spanning the canyon, and to the right is the Dishuitan Waterfall.
Choosing the cabin-style room provided an even wider view; you could see the canyon scenery right from the bed, a touch of rustic luxury. Brewing a pot of tea and sitting on the terrace was incredibly relaxing.
Breakfast was a set menu, ensuring a satisfying meal. Dinner was a sour soup beef hot pot; the sour soup was authentic and the portions were generous, although the beef was a bit tough.
The guesthouse has clearly put thought into its facilities. The best spot is occupied by the swimming pool, which is both practical and photogenic. A complimentary tea-making service around a hearth is provided, and the service is quite thoughtful.
The manager and several staff members I encountered were all locals, and their friendly and welcoming attitude was very touching. They were knowledgeable about local tourist attractions and, importantly, had a high level of brand awareness, sharing the guesthouse's philosophy during conversation.

RRongyangjituanClose enough to see Jiaxiu Tower, and distant views of the 'White House'! Choosing Sofitel for our Chinese New Year trip truly exceeded expectations, and the whole family was very happy. First, the attentive and thoughtful service from all staff during the holiday made us feel incredibly welcome. Second, the dinner privilege at the executive lounge was upgraded to a buffet, which was excellent value for money and solved the dining dilemma for our large family. Lastly, the hotel's location is genuinely superb. We were able to walk with our child to visit Jiaxiu Tower, Wenchang Pavilion, Minsheng Road, and Qingyun Market. It's truly a hidden gem of a hotel.
The only downsides were that the room windows couldn't be opened for fresh air, and the room got very hot in the afternoon sun. Since it's this time of year, the central air conditioning's cooling function couldn't be used continuously, which wasn't ideal for a child. Also, the room's Wi-Fi was not great; the internet speed was very slow, often preventing the TV's screen mirroring from connecting. Overall, though, it's still highly recommended!

GGuest UserOur stay during this Guizhou trip was absolutely wonderful! The guesthouse's setting was incredible, nestled amidst lush greenery, offering a peaceful and private atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The most delightful surprise was encountering adorable cats and dogs. Both the swimming pool and hot tub had crystal-clear water and excellent designs, making them perfect for a relaxing dip and some fun. The service from the front desk staff was absolutely outstanding. They were incredibly warm and attentive, always ready to assist with any request, and any issues were addressed promptly and efficiently. We truly felt a warm sense of belonging, just like being at home. Highly recommended!

LLukane1995Stayed 3 nights. Called the hotel and they came right away to pick us up at the main square after arrival. Great view from room. Not too far from the main streets. Great service from the staff. Had on wechat, and if we needed anything, he responded right away. He also helped us book tickets to the night show and for luggage pick up. Was able to borrow miao clothes from the hotel to take pictures from our room for free. Excellent stay.

The courtyards and greenery are beautifully maintained, with picturesque views at every turn. Stepping inside instantly separates you from the noise of the ancient town's commercial street, creating a sense of peace. The staff are very friendly and responsive, making guests feel right at home.
★★★★★ Special Activities: The hotel's special activities deserve praise! There are daily tie-dyeing and handicraft classes, as well as night tours of the ancient town.
★★★☆☆ Dining Recommendations: Objectively speaking, the hotel's dining options could be improved. My friend and I found the complimentary snacks rather ordinary and unremarkable. The breakfast also lacked variety and the distinctive features of other five-star hotel breakfasts. Hopefully, the hotel will focus more on improving the taste of its dishes, making it even more perfect.
In short, if you are looking for tranquility, enjoy a cultural atmosphere, and appreciate experiential travel, I highly recommend Zhuangyuan Bieyuan.

GGuest UserThis hotel is very close to the scenic spot, and the boss will take you there by electric car. My wife had a sore throat, and the boss drove the electric car to take her to buy medicine! We didn't eat out at night, so we ordered food at the B&B, which was also very good! The noodles for breakfast were also delicious! In short, this is a highly recommended hotel! Note: The TV can be projected!

MMaxiaowenThis is definitely the top choice hotel when visiting Huangguoshu. The off-season price was incredibly cheap! We used the VIP通道 (guest passage) and perfectly explored the Great Waterfall and Water Curtain Cave in two hours. After all, these are the two core attractions. If you're like me, just buying the entrance ticket and escalator pass is enough; the park shuttle bus I bought wasn't even used. As for the hotel itself, though it's been around for a while, it's cozy and comfortable. The heating was powerful, and a bath in the tub left me feeling completely relaxed. The soy milk at breakfast was especially delicious; I even filled a thermos with soy milk and grabbed a small bread to take with me to rush to the Water Curtain Cave early – both were quite tasty. The service was also great, and the park environment is nice.

GGuest UserThe owner sent us a travel guide right away, and once we arrived in the Miao village, we easily found the hotel by following the video! So thoughtful! Before checking in, I told the owner our clothes weren't dry yet, as it wasn't midnight and we couldn't check into the room. Upon arrival, the owner immediately upgraded our room for free, asked how many hangers we needed, showed us a map of the entire Miao village and explained everything, and even sent us a very comprehensive travel guide. Seeing we had a lot of luggage, they helped us with our room. They were also very patient in explaining anything we didn't understand during our trip. There were also adorable cats in the guesthouse, which was very cozy. The room was also very nice, and the towels were disposable and very clean. In short, it was a very good and cozy guesthouse.

Again, our stays exceeded the HIGH 5 Star ratings.... Ms Chen, Manager of the hotel is EXTREMELY helpful and resourceful in giving valuable suggestions thus making our stay, a delightful vacation. Well done, Ms Chen, an original Miao native and her efficient team, Ms Wu and others. Wonderful staff, including housekeeping... Definitely, will recommend to visit Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village and staying at Xijiang Story Resort Hotel is a Super Plus advantage.
