The photos online were misleading. Check-in was on the 3rd floor, not the 8th as stated. Luckily, I had an HK SIM to contact the property. Staff were friendly, but the room was extremely small with a strong chemical smell due to recent spraying without ventilation. There was no shower gel or shampoo provided, and one of the restroom doors was missing. The location is great, but overall, it's not a pleasant experience.

Finding a room with such great value for money in Hong Kong is truly a good find! The room isn't too small either, and it's close to all the places I wanted to visit. The MTR station is right downstairs, which is super convenient. The staff are very welcoming, and the owner is especially nice. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Hong Kong.

Choosing this hotel for my Hong Kong trip was absolutely the right decision! It's located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, right outside are all sorts of restaurants and large shopping malls. Taking the MTR is incredibly convenient, and after dinner, a short stroll takes you right to Victoria Harbour for the views. The room's overall soundproofing is excellent; even facing the street, you don't hear much traffic noise, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. Housekeeping was meticulous and thorough, with every corner spotless. The bedding was soft and comfortable, washing away all fatigue after a good night's sleep. The hotel also features a 24-hour gym, so I could keep up with my workouts even while traveling. The rooftop outdoor pool offers direct views of the entire Victoria Harbour – swimming with the sea breeze is incredibly relaxing. After a tiring day, heading to the nearby bar for a drink really sets the mood. The hotel's 'social hour' area has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, and the staff, William and Rachel, were warm and attentive. Any requests we had were promptly and properly handled. Overall, my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel's environment and scenery are absolutely beautiful. This time, I went with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. The room facilities are top-notch. However, I did have one unpleasant experience. Initially, I booked this hotel through the platform because I saw that it had kitchen facilities and cooking utensils. But when I arrived on the day, I found there was no induction cooker or any related cooking tools. At the time, the hotel staff even mentioned that cooking was not allowed due to licensing issues. After some negotiation with both the platform and the hotel, they eventually provided an induction cooker, a frying pan, and some cutlery. I hope they will handle these details better in the future. Also, a HKD 500 deposit was required upon check-in, and I still haven't received it back since checking out on March 29th.

I had a lovely one‑night stay at Stanley Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong and would definitely recommend it for a relaxed, dog‑friendly getaway. The location by the waterfront is peaceful and close to shops, restaurants, and beautiful walks, making it perfect for both people and pets. The room was clean, comfortable and well‑laid out, with enough space for our dog to feel at ease. The staff were friendly and very accommodating about us bringing our dog, which made the whole stay feel more welcoming and stress‑free. There was no breakfast at the hotel, but that was completely fine since there are plenty of cafés and eateries nearby where we enjoyed a nice morning meal. Overall, it was a great value, comfortable stay with the added bonus of being able to travel with our furry companion.

It is very convenient to travel in Chungking Mansions. It is a ten-minute walk from the Avenue of Stars and Harbor City. The boss is very nice. When I arrived, it was very inconvenient because my phone ran out of battery before the check-in time. The boss saw that I was embarrassed and asked me to go ahead in advance. The customer service was excellent throughout, from the check-in process to the accommodation arrangements (the engineering staff, in particular, were very polite). Self-checkout was also convenient. The room itself was clean and well-equipped. The washing machine was a great amenity for long-term stays, and the tall refrigerator was perfect for chilling drinks. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and complimentary bottled water was provided. The insect repellent sample was a pleasant surprise. The night view of the Kap Shui Mun Bridge was stunning, and the surrounding area had a lovely resort-like vibe. I wouldn't recommend cooking, as the extractor fan wasn't effective at removing cooking fumes. There's an uphill walk to reach the accommodation, and Ma Wan has strict traffic control, making it difficult to find taxis willing to enter. Getting around the resort area involves a fair bit of walking, so it's definitely not ideal for elderly guests to stay long-term. The curtains weren't blackout, and the bedroom door had a glass panel, meaning the morning sun shone directly into the bedroom. The bed was positioned under a beam, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. Given that it's a converted village house, one can't expect too much.
