Staff was so observant and even provided me with a set of teapot to use throughout my entire stay there. Will definitely go back to this hotel whenever I am back in Shanghai. Thank you

The hotel has a nice entrance the concierge are really respectful and are willing to answer any questions in Chinese and in English. The reception area is beautiful you can see the Shanghai skyscrapers and the bund view from there. I was a little disappointed by the offer at reception. It was my birthday weekend and they couldn’t get even offer me complimentary breakfast this was shocking for such a high quality hotel. Furthermore, the check in process was below average: 1. There was no welcome drinks not even a bottle of water. 2. I had to later ask for a toothpaste they should have offered me. 3. They did not know even take me to my room I had to drag my suitcases by myself. When you pay over 2300 RMB you are paying for the hotel to pay attention to detail and thus expect more. The room was really comfortable however, the shower had some mould and was also difficult to realise how to use it. Breakfast was okay they have a wide selection of food. However the service was shocking I sat there waiting for 20 mins after I had order my tea before someone came over to help me order eggs. The manager later apologised but for a place with high standards and on my birthday this disappointing.

The J hotel is truly beautiful. Very impressive from upon entry. The fragrant that hits you upon entry was indeed breathtaking. The place smelt immaculate. Although it was a one night stay for us, it was the little things that made such lasting impressions from the package deal that came with the room to their customer service, it was impeccable. The food there, OMG, exquisite, delicious and moreish. For breakfast we definitely went A la carte and was quite surprised when we were told we can order the entire menu if we wished 😂. By all means we had seconds. Loved the fact that we got an extended check out for 2pm with no additional charge. We really enjoyed our stay there. I have only two faults with the hotel: 1) The rugs/carpets in the room can do with a deep clean. Though it didn’t smell or anything but the dirt and stains are very noticeable. Hence the 4/5 for cleanliness. 2) The fact that at some point we had to leave the hotel to head back home🥲. Overall, if the price is a non factor I say pay this hotel a visit, you won’t regret it. We will definitely visit again.

Everything is incredible except for the mobile network coverage but you can use their Wi-Fi instead. If you’re in for making your own meals rather than eating out every night, you must come to the place as they have everything you need, from oven to stove to dishwasher to all sort of kitchen utensils. Also, I loved the bathtub. Clean and spacious. Period. Very convenient too. Just a few steps away from the Lujziachui station, the new town of Pudong. About 20 minutes by foot to the Bund or just take a cab. DiDi is fairly reasonable.

Good location, quiet in the middle of noisy. The room is very hygienic. The facilities are a bit old and the TV remote control in the living room can hardly be used. Service is uneven: room service is very good, warm and thoughtful, will take the initiative to take off shoes in and out. The front desk is quite satisfactory, and the professionalism needs to be improved. The high floors and extra bed notes in the order are directly ignored. The extra bed should include a breakfast fee for one person, but the next day was added... lowered the overall impression score.

I don’t even want to leave. Food is amazing! I ate at scena di Angelo and ordered room service twice. Service is amazing. Irena is very nice and helpful as with the rest of the staff. Rooms are perfect and comfortable.

1. Location : Excellent since is in Lujiazui and close to the No.2 subway train station. 2. Breakfast : Variety of choices across western, chinese, India, Japanese and pastry. It will be even better if the variety changed few days once. 3. Room : Room is enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Floor 26 view was really good, and the room keeping personnel very good in service. 4. Facility : Everything up to the 5 star level. 5. Concierge : The personnel was very helpful. Will stay again in future if visit Shanghai again :)

I chose this hotel because it is within walking distances near pearl tower and it was cheaper by slight margin . It is fine if you are a solo traveler and want to explore nearby places and now going to spend much time in a room. But otherwise not recommending it, especially if you going to spend a lot of time in a room working or you are with your partner , especially new one . The room was very very small in addition WC walls were completely transparent. Immediately after checking room I asked for possible upgrade however staff told me that all rooms are similar size . But next day I saw some room doors open and they were significantly bigger than the one I have . I think hotel staff is nice and friendly however they don’t speak English that’s why they gave me answer like that . Benefits : * very long breakfast time 07-12. This is huge benefit for a person as me who usually skips it . * compared to standards in China window was sealed well and there was not much blowing to my head at night * Comfortable bed

The VIP treatment of the hotel VIP car passageway first gives a kind of enjoyment above tens of thousands of people, haha! When you get close to the store, you can smell the faint fragrance, which makes tourists who are on the road feel calm Service: The auntie we met when we extended our stay in the room was very good. When the guests were in the room, the auntie would come to clean and ask politely, ”Do you want to disturb me?” and ”Can I tidy up now?”. During the whole cleaning process, she would try not to affect the guests, and would greet them again and again when they left The two guys and a girl I met at the front desk were also very polite, and they would take care of some accommodation instructions, which was quite detailed Because the hotel is downstairs from the company, every time I have something to do, I will sleep directly in the same building, which is very convenient. There are many people who come here for business trips. The hotel is tight on weekdays, but it is loose on weekends. It is very convenient to go downstairs to Metro Line 2.

Location is superb, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel can be further improved. They have a variety of selection for breakfast - please opt for breakfast!! There is a live station and remember to take a look at the menu on the wall. We didnt know that there are more items apart from what was stated on the table. Overall, service is also good - kudos to the chef manning the live station :) would recommend it to other friends but probably not elderly as their toilet tiles can be very slippery and even i almost fell (note: i wasnt wearing any bedroom slippers).

We used to always love staying at the Indigo, but haven’t stayed since covid… We were disappointed as the hotel is starting to look a little tired, things need replacing, breakfast had much less choice than previously available. None the less we booked into the Micheline Char Restaurant for New Years Eve dinner with friends looking forward to a great meal and drinks to celebrate the Year … (the food was great) however at 9:30 we were told we had to leave by 10pm after such an expensive meal and wine it seems ridiculous on any night let alone New Years Eve.. The swimming pool was closed and it wasn’t mentioned until we turned up in our swimsuits to have a swim. It didn’t ruin the stay but I don’t think we’ll be rushing back..

Overall a lovely experience, very luxurious. The check-in process was particularly notable—it didn’t feel like many hotels where you stand at a counter to check in, instead your luggage is taken to a counter and you’re seated in armchair while the concierge checked you in. A nice touch! The rooms are extremely spacious, with even the fairly basic room I booked having a seating and dining area. Everything in the room (curtains, lights, AC) is controlled via an iPad, which also felt very nice. The bed was comfy, view of the Bund was stunning both at night and during the day, and the bed was comfy. The added amenities like a Nespresso machine, selection of Chinese teas, and bath salts for the huge circular bathtub were all greatly appreciated. The breakfast had a good variety of Chinese (especially Shanghainese) and western options, mostly on-par with other 5-star hotels in China. Not bad but nothing to make it stand out. My complaints are few, but worth mentioning: 1.) the AC in the room just wasn’t that effective. Even though the weather is cooling down in Shanghai, the room seemed stuffy. I cranked it all the way down to 15 C but still woke up too warm. 2.) I left my room in the evening briefly to grab some takeaway I had ordered and when I returned there was a staff member in my room!! He was placing a plate of fruit on the table (which id lovely and not the reason I’m complaining). I was quite startled and said “hello” in Chinese and looked a bit shocked but he didn’t say a word or apologize and just ran out while staring at me. Perhaps he only speaks Chinese, saw I was a foreigner and thought I couldn’t speak Chinese…not sure. It was definitely a strange encounter.

I have stayed at the Lan Ou Hotel in Shanghai with my colleagues before, but this time I feel that something has changed. The hotel has an extra coffee shop. The Nova Coffee in Shanghai is quite delicious. Please give it a thumbs up. In addition, the hotel room is very large and the room type has been upgraded for free. The breakfast is also very unique, especially the handmade egg pancakes which are delicious. The facilities in the room are also complete. It is small and intelligent and can control the air conditioning. The highlight is that you can also set the air conditioning temperature and environment than I have gone before. It really improved a lot when I checked out. The front desk also gave me exquisite souvenirs for two or three points. I also had a dedicated customer service to make a return visit to inquire about my check-in experience. I felt really good👍The price/performance ratio is pretty good among the surroundings. Like it⬆️
