More for budget travellers, it's a decent stay for that price however cleanliness of the room was undesirable with dormant dust lingering since the moment we stepped in and persisted after a request to make up the rooms. Overall location was great but the room, bed and environment makes one very very itchy. Room is quite small but at least there is a communal area for eating takeout.

Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

This place is in a very good location. When you exit the door you're surrounded by fun stuff to do. The room is nice and spacious. The housekeepers are very friendly. We didn't use the diner much but it's not to have access to it if needed. The free breakfast was a little disappointing but considering it's a Poshtel I can't complain

Stayed here from 10 Apr to 14 Apr. It is about 10-15mins walk Taichung Railway station. The hotel is within the central district of Taichung (buildings are older here), but the hotel itself looks and feel relatively new and modern. It is conveniently located near lots of food options, and the Taichung Second Market and Miyahara is only about 5-10mins walk away. The room is clean and spacious. It has a nice modern design too. The basic amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, lotion and hairdryer are provided. Can’t seem to find local channels on the TV but you can use apps like netflix and youtube. The hotel also provides complimentary breakfast, tea time (if i recall correctly) and supper. The variety is acceptable given that this is not a big hotel. food is decent too. For breakfast there was a mini salad bar, porridge station, various steamed buns, toasts. For supper, there were braised minced meat rice and side dishes, soup, DIY noodle station, steamed buns, toasts, DIY beancurd station, some snacks/tidbits. There is also dessert with red/green bean soup, drinks and ice cream. Just one minor hiccup - a false fire alarm was trigger at 4am on one of the nights which only affected the higher floors from 9th storey and above. The guests on our storey werent aware if the lift is working or if it is safe to use and we ended up climbing the stairs down, only to find out later that there was no real fire. The affected guests waited at the lounge for about 30mins as the alarm was still ringing. The firemen eventually came and turned off the alarm. The hotel did apologise for the inconvenience by pasting a notice in the lift and informed guests to reach out to them if there are any queries. It would be nice if the hotel can engage the affected guests more directly and possible provide some form of compensation as service recovery. Nonetheless, still a pleasant stay overall!

Hotel is located near the train station with about 10minutes walk and it’s very convenient. Staffs are very friendly and always assisting in every way possible from check-in to requests to check-out too. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, though room size is small but it sleep comfortably maximum of 2 person in a room. Overall had a great experience too and will definitely stay again.

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, location is within 5mins walking distance to Family Mart, different eateries and bus-stops. It is also within 15mins walking distance to Yizhong Street. The only possible negative I can think about is that you will have to shower in the bath tub (there's no separate showering area outside of the tub), which may not be suitable for elderlies. Other than that, we really loved the relaxing ambience of the hotel. Would recommend.

I recently stayed at WE2 Hotel in Taichung and was thoroughly impressed! For its modest price, the hotel offers excellent value and comfort. My room was spacious, making it easy to fully open my large luggage and still have plenty of space to move around. Room Comfort • Double Bed – Soft, cozy, and perfect for a restful night’s sleep. • Ample Space – Generous room layout with a dedicated luggage area, so nothing felt cramped. Hotel Amenities • Café – A convenient spot to grab a quick breakfast or light snack before heading out. • Spa – A relaxing retreat to unwind after a day of exploring. • Laundry Room – A real bonus! The washing machine was free to use, and the dryer was available for a small fee—perfect for longer stays. While the only minor downside was the check-in time of 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM, the hotel makes up for it by offering secure luggage storage before and after your stay. Overall, I was very happy with my time at WE2 Hotel. The staff were friendly, the location was convenient, and the facilities made my stay comfortable and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking an affordable yet pleasant stay in Taichung.

Right outside a bus stop which we took number 19 to visit Western Palace. Plus we transferred to 9018 all the way to Lukang old town from the Museum of Dinosaurs and Botanical garden. All a walking distance to 7-11 and nearby has restaurants. Room is alright for us. Bathroom is clean. There is a laundry room at 5th floor, both wash and dry are 50 dollars each. We are very pleased with this location and hotel quietness. Nice n comfy.

The accommodation is close to TRA Taichung Station and offers a reasonable price with breakfast included. However, the room is very small and lacks a place to hang clothes in the bathroom. Outside, there is only a short and narrow wardrobe that can hold about four pieces of clothing. The breakfast is average in taste but quite greasy. Additionally, the staff in the breakfast area didn’t seem very welcoming.

I misread the description in Chinese so this was partly my fault for booking a rather shabby room! The staff were very helpful and friendly though, so that was really lovely. The location was great, and I could easily get around. The only thing was really the amenities inside the room for this room type was flabbergasting! In short, every item inside was just old and of bare quality. You can have old furniture but have the furniture well-maintained. To name a few, the slippers provided were torn, the inside of the fridge was rusty, and there was no shower curtain inside the bathroom! The price was within my budget during peak season and I didn’t want to spend more, plus all other rooms were full, so I didn’t have much to complain about my stay. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious enough. But objectively speaking for the price I was charged, it was definitely pricey given the quality of the room. All I can say is, the photos provided by the hotel were definitely adjusted heavily for lighting and colour. Nevertheless I enjoyed my stay as the room fit my purpose for the stay. It was rather cozy. :)
