"Overall, the hotel is good and service from the staff is great too. Breakfast Hotel has a good spread and enjoyed the food there. Hotel is well located near the Fengjia Night Market and you can go there in 3 min but is not very near the city centre and you may need to take a bus or walk there. ."

"Firstly, the hotel management has strong empathy allowing me to cancel 1 night last minute due to family issues that I have to check out 1 day earlier. But to my surprise, Check in timing is surprisingly at 4pm. Gym facilities is under renovation but did not prior inform the guest upon check in. On Trip.com, stated open 2023 which is very misleading that the hotel was newly renovated or newly built. But the rooms are old but luckily not rundown and rooms are clean."

"Had a great 3D2N stay at In Joy Hotel! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable! free snacks (in the hotel room) and supper were provided. There are convenient stores and eateries nearby as well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience staying at this hotel! ☺️"

"Location is good. Walking distance to major transport and adjacent to factory outlet mall. Room is good size for couple and can add bed or family room. There is curated one day tour trip provided by the hotel and very competitive to outside tour. Tour guide selected and provided by hotel is professional, responsible and accommodating to needs. Hotel Breakfast is quite normal or standard which can be more exciting or international as IHG leh. If one of the day trip is to Lukang, there is bus literally outside the hotel. Walking distance and there is also option of walking to nearby bus stop to take bus to YiZhong street. Also got bus to Fengjia night market, very convenient."

"The hotel’s location was ideal — within walking distance to the train station and close to several bus stops, which made getting around easy and convenient. The staff were courteous and very helpful, always ready to assist whenever we needed something. The only drawback was the air conditioning, which wasn’t quite cold enough, though they promptly provided extra fans upon request. Breakfast was complimentary — simple but decent. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay with warm service and a great location."

"The room was absolutely perfect — one of the cleanest and brightest we’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom was exceptionally well maintained; even the sink were completely free of visible mould, which is rare and very much appreciated. It would be even better if there were more mirrors in the room, and frosted toilet partitions for added privacy, especially for families. The location is superb. It’s in a quiet corner, yet incredibly convenient with both FamilyMart and 7-Eleven right across the street, and plenty of delicious street food within a 5-minute walk. Service was truly top-notch. Whenever we had questions, the staff didn’t just give standard answers — they took the extra effort to check, offer thoughtful suggestions, and genuinely help us plan better. Their care and attention made our trip even more wonderful. We will definitely be back!"

"I was quite surprised that a hotel in Taichung left such a good impression. Probably one of the nicest places that's considered on a more budgetary side — Basic but memorable. Location wise was not too bad. At least till late there were shops and convenient stores that were walking distance. Nice heated toilet bowl seat, room was spacious and the room service cleaning every day makes the stay worthwhile. The tv can even play YouTube! Not confined to watching the channels the hotel has subscribed to. Would book here again if there's a chance to come back :)"

"The lobby is bright and spacious, with a bar that offers a free TWD100 discount coupon. The drinks are excellent, and there's seating available, perfect for a casual drink with friends. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and even recommended a list of local food spots. There's a 7-Eleven, PX Mart, McDonald's, and other stores nearby, plus it's within walking distance to Feng Chia Night Market. You can also find the famous souvenir shop, Ruyi Sunnycake, close by. The room was clean and hygienic, and the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner all smelled lovely. There are complimentary snacks and drinks in both the room and the lobby. They also have a gym and laundry room!"

"This was, without a doubt, the best hotel I stayed in during my trip to Taiwan. For context, I also visited other cities like Taipei and Kaohsiung, but this hotel in Taichung stood out above the rest. The location was absolutely perfect, very close to the Taichung Railway Station, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. We arrived way too early, around 8:00 a.m., but we were immediately greeted by smiling staff who were so welcoming. They kindly helped us with our luggage for safekeeping, something we truly appreciated. They gave us proper luggage tags, and our bags were placed in an area right next to the staff for monitoring, which gave us great peace of mind. We also asked for directions to some places we wanted to visit, and they went above and beyond by printing out a hard copy of the route for us. This was my first time experiencing such thoughtful service, and it made a huge difference. We headed out, explored a few spots, and returned later in the afternoon for check-in. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations since it was a budget hotel but oh boy, was I impressed. The room was spotless and smelled wonderfully fresh, like it had just been thoroughly cleaned. Aside from the usual complimentary coffee and tea, they even surprised us with free Doritos and Biscoff biscuits, which was such a nice touch. The bathroom was also incredibly clean. We slept really well. Breakfast the next morning was good, with a nice variety. Although the selection was limited, everything tasted great, and they even offered a takeaway option, which was perfect for guests on the go. The next day’s breakfast was even better, they didn't repeat the same items, which showed real attention to detail and care for their guests. Even upon check-out, the staff remained warm and friendly, always smiling. What stood out most was that even the cleaners greeted us with a smile every time they saw us in the hallway. It’s that kind of genuine hospitality that turns a simple stay into a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taichung!"
