"From picking up from the train station, to daily amenities and services, it’s all exceptional. Breakfast spread was so wide it’s unlikely you’ll be able to try them all. Afternoon tea sets with fruits, cookies, tarts and cake was delicious. Attention to details like kid dental sets and in room baby shoe for my son was also so thoughtful. The view is nice, I wished I had booked longer to stay here. Will definitely come back this hotel again next time I come to Dali. The lady 程七七 from the hotel was also very helpful the entire time since before arrival with arrangements till check out. There’s also a small little playground area at lvl 2 of building 2 for small kids to play."

"Had a wonderful stay at Mengling Yayuan Hotel in Dali from 19 to 21 December 2025. The staff were exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make my visit memorable—from a smooth check-in to thoughtful local recommendations, their hospitality truly stood out. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with modern amenities that made the stay both comfortable and convenient.
I especially enjoyed the daily local breakfast options of noodles or congee, the relaxing afternoon tea, and the delicious desserts served in the evening. As we had an early checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared a takeaway breakfast for our onward journey, which was greatly appreciated.
Perfectly located just a few metres from the entrance to Dali Old Town, the hotel offers an ideal base for exploring the area. Mengling Yayuan Hotel beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comfort, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for its warm service and excellent facilities."

"Just got back from an amazing stay at the Pullman Dali !
First off, the views of Erhai Lake are incredible. Waking up to that every morning was worth the trip alone. The hotel is super modern and everything was spotlessly clean—our room felt like a perfect, comfortable retreat.
But the real highlight was the service. A huge shoutout to our room assistant, Tracy! She was so attentive and helpful. For two days, she was basically my personal ”Ask Me Anything” guide for the hotel and Dali. Need a restaurant tip? Ask Tracy. How to work the lights? Tracy knows. Extra pillows? Tracy's on it. She answered every single question and made everything so easy and smooth.
If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable hotel with stunning views and staff who genuinely make your stay better, this is it. Thanks especially to Tracy for making our trip so special!

"The first hotel on our Yunnan trip was absolutely fantastic! The moment we stepped into the courtyard, we were instantly charmed by the beautiful flowers and plants, and seeing the adorable cats and dogs just lifted our spirits.
The room was very clean, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which is one of my must-haves when choosing accommodation. The bedding was super comfortable, and the bed was great for sleeping. They even had a direct drinking water dispenser in the room, which felt much safer than an electric kettle.
The guesthouse is just over a ten-minute walk to the South Gate of the ancient town. The walk back takes a few minutes longer because there's an uphill slope right before you reach the guesthouse, but if you rent a scooter, it's no problem at all. They even thoughtfully provided a foot bath tub in the room – soaking my feet after a long day was so relaxing.
The staff at the guesthouse were all young men, and they were warm and welcoming without being intrusive.
If I come back to Dali, I'll definitely choose this guesthouse again."

"Great location within walking distance to Dali Old Town. The hotel owner also provides a pick-up service, he picked us up from Dali train station, which was very convenient. The owner was super helpful, assisting us with picking up parcels and helping us book bus tickets to Lijiang. Really appreciated the warm hospitality!"

Eu estava esperando um dia livre e fácil, e nós ficámos muito tempo para se afundar Na vista.O serviço de pessoal era incrível. A equipe chegou a mim através trip.com o dia antes de entrarmos (iniciativa fantástica) porque visitantes de países terceiros como eu não conhecem o uso do WeChat. Quando chegámos, o pessoal estava à espera para nos receber e levar para o apartamento, enquanto chegámos por nosso próprio motorista.O hotel enviou deserto (sem cogumelo branco) à noite para o nosso apartamento. Um aspecto importante do hotel é a doce e ampla distribuição do pequeno-almoço, o que se encontra no piso mais alto, oferecendo UMA vista excelente de Erhai, e a atenciosa senhora lá estava amável, alegre e com um excelente serviço. Ddeci16I cannot recommend Sunyata Homestay in Dali enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it was an experience of genuine warmth and care. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a serene escape after long days of exploring. The afternoon tea and breakfast they served were nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve stayed in multiple 4-5 star hotels across China over the past month, but the gourmet food here easily surpassed them all. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, leaving me in awe of the flavors and quality.
The location of Sunyata Homestay is also perfect. It’s just far enough from the bustling crowds to remain peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Dali Ancient City that it’s only a few steps away from great eateries and the heart of the ancient town. The balance is ideal for anyone seeking convenience without sacrificing tranquility.
A special shout-out to the young lady working in the coffee shop up front—her coffee is unparalleled! My husband, who is a daily coffee drinker and rarely impressed, couldn’t stop raving about her brews. It was, hands down, the best coffee we had during our travels.
The staff here deserve every bit of praise. They were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. However, what truly sets Sunyata apart is the incredible owner. My father had a bad accident in Dali on a rainy day, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I would have done without his support. Despite my limited Mandarin, he spent an entire day accompanying me to the hospital, ensuring we were well cared for and understood. The next day, he went out of his way to pick up the CT scans for us. His kindness and compassion left me speechless.
The owner’s dedication to his guests is reflected in his amazing team, all of whom go above and beyond. Without his help, I would have had to cut my trip to China short. Instead, he turned a difficult situation into one where we felt supported and cared for like family.
Sunyata Homestay is truly one of a kind, and I will forever be grateful for their hospitality. This is not just a place to stay; it’s a haven of comfort, care, and culinary delights. Thank you, Sunyata, for everything!

The original room booked was quite disappointing, and cleanliness wasn’t very good. The shower door doesn’t close properly causing the water to leak all over the bathroom. But the staff was extremely nice and changed our room into a suite. It was a nice upgrade, the suite was definitely much comfortable than the smaller room.
I would really suggest booking a nicer room if you have the budget for it. The location was perfect, it was about 15 minute walk to the Dali ancient town South Gate and along the way there’s many shops and at night there’s food stalls.
The room amenities itself seem a little dated. There’s a lot of markings on the walls and the toilet was missing the remote. The toilet flushing was also very weak and also flushed automatically with no option to flush multiple times.
The breakfast was not bad. The free afternoon tea is disappointing.

UUsuário convidado位置非常好，出門就是洱海，環洱海旅遊巴士文筆村站就在酒店門口，我購買了三天的通票，從門口坐巴士去各個景點非常方便。連住三天，酒店還贈送去機場，早餐自助很豐盛，旁邊吃飯也很方便，有很多吃的。
陽台上，庭院裏都可以看日落，我就是為了看日落選擇洱海東，酒店旁邊其他門口很多做了停車場，這個酒店是花園草坪，還有小孩子們的沙灘，滑梯，很難得。酒店的前台小哥哥和老闆娘非常熱情，親切，酒店大堂準備了很多砂糖橘和蘋果，回來就可以吃。年三十還有車釐子，堅果。文筆村整個依山而建，很有特色。酒店性價比很高，推薦！

The small living room is a plus point providing a common area for family member to spend time together. Heated bed is an another plus point and much appreciated during winter!! The only Downside was the water Heater takes a while to warm up, and we had to let the tap run for a while before getting hot water.
