"Our first Onyado Nono experience and we are already looking forward to future stays. Wasn't expecting much for city hotel onsen but surprised it even had a good size outdoor option + sauna& cold pool. . The breakfast buffet was amazing, got to try lots of local dishes. Parking at hotel was abit pricy. 1500 ¥ per day but it does allow unlimited in and out. You can probably find cheaper options around the hotel if willing to walk. We just parked for 2 days and walked around the shopping district + Nara Park (25mins). Lots of food options nearby."

"Hotel was about 2 mins walk from the entrance of Nara park n the shopping district. Very good location. You could either walk 1.3km to the hotel from the JR station, or take a taxi which would cost around 1200yen. About 10 mins walk from the metro station. I stayed for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner inclusive. The Ryokan did take note n served us a different menu each day. There was also a small indoor n outdoor onsen in the Ryokan. The food was superb."

"Houve um pouco de espera no check-in, mas eles lidaram com isso educadamente. O quarto era do tamanho certo e era confortável. O banheiro público também estava vazio e pude tomar um banho relaxante na banheira. O estacionamento também foi muito útil, pois uma vez pago, você pode entrar e sair livremente do estacionamento. Fiquei um pouco decepcionado porque o quarto estava tão empoeirado."

"The hotel is literally next to the JR Nara Station.You can purchase all of your travel tickets there and the airport bus tickets, too. In that area, there is a grocery store, a Walgreens type store, and nice affordable places to eat. I highly recommend the place on the corner(pic #1-2). The two guys that run it are so nice. There is a long shopping/restaurant street kinda across from the tourist center. I don't recommend this one ramen place located there. They make everyone pay before eating, and for the basic ramen that I got, it was overpriced. My bowl wasn't even full!(pic# 3-7) The tourist center is located close by, and the folks in there are very helpful(pic# 8). All of the buses are right there, so touring is very easy. The hotel itself is very comfortable. It's keyless, so take a picture of your pass code. The onsen on the premises has a pass code as well. Inside was very nice and relaxing. I went at 2:20am and it was wonderful. They have pajamas, pillows, and a free happy hour. The variety of spirits is extensive. Also, the elevator smells so good! The scent will de stress you. You can try a lot of things with a nice view of the station. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The last two pictures are the view of the bus terminal. There is another one on the other side of the building. This is the front view (airport bus location)"

"Hotel muito bom, mas o serviço não é bom. Talvez eu devesse dizer “ruim”. Reservamos 1 quarto com 3 camas para 3 pessoas, devido ao sistema de reserva poder inserir apenas 2 nomes, falta o nome de 1 pessoa. As duas senhoras da recepção do hotel disseram que precisamos pagar JPN 3900 extras pela cama adicional. Ou poderíamos ter apenas 2 camas para 3 pessoas. Eu disse que não, porque está incluso na diária, já pagamos. As senhoras não têm vontade de nos ajudar a resolver o problema, mas estão muito interessadas em cobrar mais. Tente imaginar, 2 pessoas reservarão um quarto de 3 camas para 2 camas? por que as pessoas não reservam um quarto standard do mesmo tipo para economizar algum dinheiro? Entre em contato com seu agente para corrigir seu sistema de reservas. Finalmente um senhor do hotel ajudou a negociar e pudemos morar aqui. O quarto é muito bom e limpo. Mas o serviço é o pior que já vi no Japão."

"We stayed at Mikasa Ryokan (万葉若草の宿 三笠旅館) in Nara, and overall it was a great experience — but there are definitely some things you should know and plan for in advance. 🏞 1. Location & Transportation The ryokan is located halfway up Mount Wakakusa, with beautiful views over Nara city — the scenery is stunning, especially at night. But getting up and down the mountain isn’t very convenient. At first, I thought the location was right near Todai-ji Temple and would be easy to access. Turns out: The mountain road is very narrow and winding, and it actually takes longer than expected. According to the staff, walking up the mountain is not allowed. There's a gate, and the staff inside don’t permit people to walk up. Luckily, the hotel offers a shuttle bus up the mountain, but you should arrange it with the hotel in advance. Once you’re at the ryokan, getting out isn’t very easy either. Even if you want to take a taxi, you need to book it in advance — it’s not like calling a cab from the street. So I’d recommend planning your itinerary carefully before you arrive. While Todai-ji Temple, Nara Park, and Kasuga Taisha are technically just at the bottom of the mountain, they’re not within walking distance from the hotel, so you’ll still need transport. 🛌 2. Room Experience We booked the Japanese-style room with a private open-air bath. I did quite a bit of research before booking: Sites like *********** say the room is about 28 sqm (307 sq ft) But Ctrip listed it as 56 sqm, which was confusing After checking in, I think 28 sqm is probably just the indoor area, and 56 sqm includes the balcony, private onsen, and garden area. The room is traditional Japanese-style with tatami floors and a low table in the center. In the evening, while we were out having dinner, staff came in and set up our futon beds for the night — a really nice touch. This was our first time sleeping on Japanese futons. It was surprisingly comfortable, and the room temperature was perfect. If you're traveling with kids, this type of setup could be extra fun. 3. Onsen Experience We tried both the public onsen and the private one in our room: The public bath areas are located on the first and second floors, with men’s and women’s baths alternating daily. They include both indoor and outdoor hot spring pools. The water is hot — after about 10 minutes, we felt totally warm and relaxed. The private bath in the room was also very enjoyable. The garden had high fences and trees for privacy, and the tub was perfectly sized for two people. 🍱 4. Meals We booked a plan that included both dinner and breakfast. One important thing to note — you need to confirm your dinner time with the hotel before arrival, because if you arrive after 7 PM, you might miss dinner. Dinner is served in private dining rooms, which gave us a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and very Japanese — including Wagyu beef and sukiyaki. Breakfast was also very traditional — grilled fish, rice, and various small dishes. Personally, I prefer something lighter for breakfast, and there was no coffee, bread, or buns included. If you want coffee, you can get it later in the lounge near the lobby."

"Fantastic hotel for anyone who drive. Free Car park with lots of spaces. The facility is very clean, spacious room, both indoor and outdoor hot spring. Really there is nothing to complain in this hotel. It is located in a fairly decent neighborhoods and able to provide this standard of hot spring is phenomenal. One of the best stay we had in this journey. Highly Recommended."

"Um hotel muito agradável em uma localização estratégica. É conveniente chegar a Yoshino, Osaka e Nara-Kyoto. O hotel é grande, nosso quarto era em estilo japonês e também muito grande (para os padrões japoneses), tudo estava como deveria ser. Havia um onsen, mas não tivemos tempo de chegar lá."

"雖然酒店附近的景色看起來好像位置比較偏遠，但酒店位置其實還不錯。隔壁就是平城宮遺跡，離近鐵大和西大寺鐵路站則大約十分鐘步行距離，到奈良公園等熱門景點只是兩個車站。 酒店可預約接送車到鐵路站，看到有住客用，不過我沒有用到。 房間比我想像中大一些，酒店的溫泉設施不用額外收費，有室內池也有戶外池，酒店職員的服務很好，總體而言非常推薦。"

"Заселение после 15:00. Сотрудники очень приветливые, в том числе есть владеющие английском на достаточном уровне, чтобы вы могли понять друг друга без переводчика. Комната просторная, отапливается/охлаждается кондиционером. Также есть котацу, под которым очень комфортно сидеть, чайный набор, в том числе чайник. Юката и хвори очень красивые и удобные. В номере есть также памятка для иностранцев о правильном посещении онсена (обязательно прочитайте, это важно). Всего два онсена - один большой с видом на реку (есть занавески) и один поменьше без окон. Вода умеренно горячая, не обжигающая. В качестве ужина был предоставлен кайсеки с переменой блюд - было очень вкусно и ОЧЕНЬ много (честно, мы не смогли всё съесть, так как обычно едим сильно меньше, за что приносим извинения сотрудникам)"
