Had a great stay at Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre for the 2nd time! Staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. Location is super convenient too. One concern though - the lift access to guest floors felt a bit too open. Anyone can press the button and get up to the floors, even with the card reader being overridden. Feels like a safety risk, especially in a busy city centre hotel. Hope they look into beefing up security for guests' peace of mind. Overall, would still recommend - but hope they address this!”

Had a wonderful stay at KSL Hotel & Resort! The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent, especially with the mall connected—very convenient for food, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The facilities were great as well, especially for families. The kids really enjoyed the pool and play areas. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience. Highly recommended for families looking for a convenient and enjoyable stay. Will definitely come back again!

A large 20-30 years old hotel building. Clean , very large guest room with city view on the high floor. Fast check in and friendly staff. Very good buffet breakfast. Good water pressure at the high floor bathroom. None smoking rooms are available, but sometimesl smell of the smoking still coming from room ventilation. Good room price. Will stay again if I come to Johor Baru.

Service was very good, friendly and helpful front desk/reservation office. I had a request as it was my son's actual birthday on the date we checked in and the hotel kindly arranged for a complimentary slice of cake. The hotel itself is a bit dated but rooms were clean and spacious. We had 2 smoking rooms on the 13th floor which had a nice view. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable and the fridge did cool our drinks. Usual toiletries were provided, no hand towels though. Water pressure was alright but you may need to request for a bathtub stopper (if needed) as this was missing from both our rooms. TV channels were a bit spotty, in one room all movie channels were grainy and in the other room it was actually worse, could only see a few local channels. Wi-fi signal was strong. Power points were far from bedside which is to me a major drawback as I could not charge my devices conveniently next to the bed. In one room, one of the power points did not work and we had to use the kettle power point as the other was underneath the vanity table. We didn't bother to call maintenance as we were only there for one night. Location was good, it's not in the city itself but not very far, maybe 10-15 mins by Grab. There's quite a few food outlets nearby if you're willing to walk out of the property. It's also attached to a mall but I think the duty free outlet was being renovated. We didn't really walk around the mall so can't comment. Seems a bit limited though. There's a 7-11 downstairs at the hotel itself for any snack emergencies. Lots of clubs and nightlife immediately outside the hotel but it didn't really interfere with hotel guests so that's fine. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but wasn't terrible. There was no live egg station which is always a disappointment as the pre-prepared eggs became rather dry and unappealing. I saw bread and butter pudding tag which I thought was a nice, however it was not replenished while I was there so couldn't try. Overall, I guess it's alright for the price point.

Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out.

Apenas 5 minutos a pé até ao centro do vale O pequeno-almoço foi um dos melhores que já tentei em Jb. Tinha tantas escolhas. I had a wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and very professional. The check-in process was smooth, and the famous warm DoubleTree cookie made the arrival even more pleasant. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-maintained facilities. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping everything spotless. The hotel location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping malls, restaurants, and the CIQ checkpoint. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options and the food quality was excellent. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru to anyone visiting Johor Bahru and look forward to staying here again in the future

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay. The place is very luxurious and well-designed. The jacuzzi was a great highlight, and we really enjoyed watching movies with the surround sound system — it truly felt like a private home cinema. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of food options just downstairs and nearby, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was definitely worth the price. We are very satisfied and would highly recommend this place to others. Will come back again if given the chance!

A primeira vez que experimento fogos de artifício durante a noite (hari raya está à volta do canto) no conforto do meu quarto no nível mais alto do hotel - grande ponto mais. Através da rua, a cerca de 500m da praça de comptar/jb, ficam confortáveis, afastam-se da multidão do CIQ, mas também com facilidade de acesso ao local. Não há acesso Wi-Fi gratuito lá em baixo, e o frigorífico não permitiu que o meu gelado permaneça no SEU estado sólido.Aircon não é o Mais Frio, MAS há um ventilador de tecto para curvar com calor.Foram fornecidos toalhas básicas. Apreciem também o modo como o pessoal estava estacionado no portão e forneceram algum senso de segurança, especialmente se a noite for tarde.
