Hotel is wearing down fast. I have stayed quite a few times and surprised how fast it’s wearing down. They don’t provide hand soap at wash basin. I needed to call guest services and it took them half an hour to bring me 2 small bars of soap. Did they expect me to bring my own soap to wash my hands or use the soap in the shower - I am a little confused. Anyway location is still great and the new huge store Mr DIY is great. Also the anchor butter at breakfast tasted like margarine but on closer examination it is butter.

Front desk service was great, the ladies provide clear instructions on check in and out. Room wise - just regular 1 bedder apartment and -1 star for hair found on the bedlinen and empty toothbrush wrapper which leaves us only with only 1 new toothbrush. Was given a high floor room at L42. There is a convenient shop at L2. Not for fussy sleeper… since the bed and pillow on the soft side.

Had a wonderful stay at KSL Hotel & Resort! The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent, especially with the mall connected—very convenient for food, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with a smile. The facilities were great as well, especially for families. The kids really enjoyed the pool and play areas. Overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing experience. Highly recommended for families looking for a convenient and enjoyable stay. Will definitely come back again!

All the staff was helpful there from check in to check out. Especially Samuel who is of great help. Meanwhile as the bldg is still new, there will be some noises here and there from the renovation in other units, which is beyond their control. Earplugs provided is a plus point. Will stay again for my next trip with them.

Mixed Experience – Good Service Recovery but Initial Handling Could Be Better I recently stayed at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru City Centre and had a mixed experience. For the first two nights, we suspected the room was not properly cleaned as both my husband and I experienced continuous sneezing throughout the stay. I reported this to the front desk after the first night, but no action was taken or escalated. Unfortunately, we had to endure a second uncomfortable night before I raised the issue again to the duty manager. I must commend the duty manager for her prompt and decisive action — she arranged an immediate room change, which made a significant difference. This level of service recovery was appreciated. However, it is unclear why the initial concern was not escalated earlier by the front desk, which could have prevented unnecessary discomfort. On a positive note, when I fell sick during the stay, the front desk staff were thoughtful enough to send porridge and warm water to my room — a kind gesture that I truly appreciated. The hotel’s location is very convenient, and the breakfast selection varies daily, which is a plus. A special mention to the egg station staff — they were consistently friendly and attentive, handling every request with a smile even during busy periods. Check-out was smooth and efficient. Overall, while there were some lapses in initial handling, the service recovery and certain staff members’ efforts stood out.

Apenas 5 minutos a pé até ao centro do vale O pequeno-almoço foi um dos melhores que já tentei em Jb. Tinha tantas escolhas. E também muito bonito O hotel entregou a minha petição Vai certamente voltar. Muito feliz

A primeira vez que experimento fogos de artifício durante a noite (hari raya está à volta do canto) no conforto do meu quarto no nível mais alto do hotel - grande ponto mais. Através da rua, a cerca de 500m da praça de comptar/jb, ficam confortáveis, afastam-se da multidão do CIQ, mas também com facilidade de acesso ao local. Não há acesso Wi-Fi gratuito lá em baixo, e o frigorífico não permitiu que o meu gelado permaneça no SEU estado sólido.Aircon não é o Mais Frio, MAS há um ventilador de tecto para curvar com calor.Foram fornecidos toalhas básicas. Apreciem também o modo como o pessoal estava estacionado no portão e forneceram algum senso de segurança, especialmente se a noite for tarde.

The room is very nice. We like that we can cast from our phone. The check in was delayed by 2 hours. The staff was very helpful. He gave us all complimentary breakfast. But the breakfast was bad. Too much processed food - chicken nuggets, ham ,etc. too much sugar - donuts, soya milk was too sweet, fruit drinks were too sweet, except for the fresh orange, cucumber and pineapple juice. Those were great. It's definitely not worth the price for our family. St Giles, Opero, Holiday Inn Express at Komptar, Hilton all have better and healthier breakfast. The swimming pool has too many sharp corners near the children area.

Pros Price: I feel this is a good buy, considering this being a 3 bedroom apartment. Location: Superb - right above Paradigm Mall. This is my most important factor as I have children on my trips. Check in/out: Very convenient - it's a self check in/out using a locker system and it's super smooth. Security: One of the tightest securities I've been at in Msia - entry to lobby door, entry to shopping mall door, and even the swimming pool level needs to tap key card. Amenities: Nice clean swimming pool. There's also a steam room, badminton court, games room, playground, function room in the apartment. View: Pretty view of houses - and we witnessed a lot of fireworks 😍 Cons Hiccups during check in: (These hiccups below are purely based on MY experience here. You may not experience the same as I did) We were issued the wrong key so we had to go back down to check out and check in to the right apartment. Aft checking in, we found our master bedroom's aircon and toilet lights, as well as TV couldn't be switched on. Had to wait for maintenance guys to check and fix them. Wasted about 2 hours of our time in total. Compensation: Felt like management should have offered a change of room for our convenience. But they didnt - so I requested for it because the maintenance was taking too long. We were also not offered any form of compensation - which I feel, again, should have been from mgt side - so I initiated a request for our late check out waiver. Customer service kindly agreed to both requests. House rules & housekeeping: Too many house rules. And housekeeping is not ideal - change of towels and bedsheets are per every 3 days. We have to dispose of our own rubbish during the stay (in the common rubbish room), and we also have to pack and tie all our rubbish bags from the bins before checking out (which i feel is unnecessary cos housekeeping is alr gonna come to clean...?) But I'm sure my cons are just my opinion. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
