Hotéis com Gym em San Jose, Costa Rica

Nos hospedamos neste hotel por uma noite no início da nossa viagem de 11 dias pela Costa Rica e também na nossa última noite, para garantir traslados fáceis de e para o aeroporto. O café da manhã é ótimo! A área da piscina e os espaços externos eram adoráveis, mesmo com todos os esquilos de olho nos nossos lanches. Os quartos são grandes (com pé direito alto e banheiras!). A localização é boa, pois fica a 10-15 minutos de Uber do centro da cidade e de um bairro charmoso com cafeterias. Muito seguro e limpo. Os funcionários foram ótimos.

If you're looking to explore San Jose, or have a basecamp for exploring the rest of Costa Rica, this hotel offers a great central location, situated right in the middle of San José. Good for walking to restaurants or shops in the city, or joining one of the several sight-seeing excursions which can be easily arranged by the hotel. The rooms are nice, though the decor is a bit dated. The common areas are also well designed for lounging while reading a book or getting to know your fellow travelers staying on the same floor. The breakfast buffet was fairly common for a hotel offering breakfast in Costa Rica, but good, and the area also doubles as a bar at night. Other amenities include a gym with free weights and a couple machines, along with two saunas, one dry and one steam.

We loved the staff and the location. We tried the restaurant of the hotel and found the food to be great but expensive. We liked our room but missed some basic items like a showercap and the sleepers we are used to finding in hotels like this one. They only provide 2 free bottles of water, so do not expect a couple each day like in other hotels. The internet connection was really disappointing. The bed was comfortable, and the room was ok overall.

満足のいく宿泊でした。部屋と、屋上の景色が素晴らしいです。 私たちはレンタカーを使って旅行していましたので、駐車場が無料なのはとても助かりました。 部屋は全体的にお洒落でとても清潔でした。キッチン用品にケトルを追加すると更に良いかもしれません。 2部屋予約したうちの、1部屋が入室した際にタバコ臭さがありましたが、連絡すると代わりの部屋の提案をしてくれました。 お勧めします。ありがとうございました。

La verdad me pareció un buen hotel, tiene un desayuno muy bueno, y está a mi parecer en un lugar céntrico, cerca de varias cosas

Servicio muy bueno, habitaciones modernas y limpieza excelente. Desayuno bueno, pero podrían mejorar. Solo le faltaría tener Alberca.

Undiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro. Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask! We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor. Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited. Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property). Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Balmoral San José. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, which made it easy to relax in. The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well throughout our stay. One thing to be aware of is that many rooms — including all of the Superior Plus rooms — have their windows facing into a dark gap between the buildings rather than outside. This means you don’t get natural light or a view, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the staff were absolutely great — friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. Overall, a very good hotel in an excellent central location, and we would happily stay here again.

Pontos positivos: quarto muito bom e limpo. Funcionários do bar e da piscina muito bons. Jantar razoável. Comodidades também boas. Pontos negativos: recepcionistas rudes e pouco acolhedores. Nos disseram para falar com o mensageiro para organizar um transporte para o aeroporto, e ele simplesmente nos deixou esperando em sua mesa, organizando cerca de 10 malas, e depois saiu para entregá-las em vários quartos. Fomos tomar café da manhã às 5h, conforme indicado nas informações do quarto, e nos disseram no check-out que abria às 5h30. Tínhamos um voo para pegar e precisávamos ir por conta própria para o aeroporto, então não pudemos tomar café da manhã.
