"We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk manager kindly upgraded our room to a suite in celebration of my wife's upcoming birthday—a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our visit. The suite, featuring a separate bedroom and living room, was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was delicious, offering a wide range of continental options. While I would have appreciated more local dishes, the variety and quality were excellent. Both the reception and dining staff were friendly, attentive, and eager to assist. The SPA area and swimming pool were spacious, clean, and designed to offer plenty of privacy, even when other guests were present. Tip: About 100 meters to the left of the hotel, there’s a fantastic local BBQ restaurant with affordable, tasty food. A heartfelt thanks to the hotel management and staff for the upgrade and making our stay truly memorable."

"The hotel is located within a park, quite a distance from the train station, about a 30-minute taxi ride away. The surroundings are spacious and quiet. Breakfast starts at 7 AM and offers a wide variety of delicious options. During my stay, I even encountered a tour group of Chinese visitors. The room had central heating, which made it so warm that I had to open the window at night to ventilate. Upon check-in, there was a mix-up; after we swiped our key card and entered the room, we found a young Russian girl already occupying it – she must have gotten quite a fright! We quickly exited and went back to the front desk to sort it out. They promptly moved us to the adjacent room and sent up a fruit platter as an apology. For solo female travelers, it's always important to keep your door locked at all times! 😂"

"We absolutely loved this hotel. It's location is great and the staff are amazing especially the front desk. There is no lift but the reception staff helped us with the bags. We paid for a more premium room but it was on level 3 so we asked to be changed to room on a lower level and it was great. The Georgian restaurant inside the hotel is amazing. The food is great and the staff were amazing. Will definitely stay there again."

"I stayed here alone and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is a little far from the city center, so you will probably need to use Yandex to get around. One thing to keep in mind is that it can be difficult to find a Yandex taxi early in the morning. I recommend asking the front desk to arrange a taxi in advance. I paid 80,000 som from the hotel to the train station. Also, the hotel does not have a currency exchange service. The nearest option is the Hilton Regency across the street, but it takes around 30 minutes to walk there. One small thing to note is that there was no toothbrush in the room, so I had to ask the front desk for one. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel, especially if you don’t mind using taxis to get around."

"I have to say we will give the reception guy 6 stars up to five. We have to catch up the train in the early morning around 1am, so that we need to stay in the lounge for around 4hours.The reception guy, with my great respect and grateful, stay up the whole night with us, no rest and give water and turn on for us. In the end, support us for communicating with the driver and carry the luggages for us, with no tips(sorry we dont have change cash at that moments) also breakfast nice and room is clean and tidy"

The location was good and the hotel was clean. Overall, I would recommend it. The staff were kind and helpful. When I arrived at the hotel with a same-day reservation, they seemed to have prepared a larger room than expected, allowing me to relax comfortably. There is no elevator, but this is a common building structure in Uzbekistan, so it wasn't a problem. The breakfast was sufficient considering it was included in the room rate. There is a currency exchange machine in the hotel, so you don't have to worry if you're short on cash. Finally, be careful with the bathroom facilities in the room.

We were welcomed like honored guests at the hotel. Administrators Farrukh and Mamur promptly fulfilled all our requests. At breakfast, I asked if there were syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes). There weren't any that morning, but they prepared and brought them to us within 15 minutes. Utair airline delayed our flight by 11 hours, and there were no available rooms to extend our stay at the hotel, but the administrators once again ensured our wait was comfortable. We waited for our flight in the cozy hotel lobby. I'd also like to mention the hotel's location, which in our opinion, is the most convenient in Samarkand: a 5-minute walk to Registan, and excellent access to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The hotel front desk service was excellent. I believe the gentleman named AMAZIGEN (not sure if I spelled that correctly) was the best; he helped me call and notify local clients, which I genuinely appreciate. Of course, the other staff members were also great, and the hotel's chef prepared breakfast every day. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Pros… * Location: 15 mins walkable distance to Registan square and a couple other attractions * Breakfast: a great variety of options ~ hot & cold + few options of fruits and pastries / desserts * Room: it was ok apart from the AC… which was dripping water once turned on.. hot water available for shower which was great! Beddings were good, a fridge, iron board, iron, a keep safe box, bath robes, 2 bottles of water available in room. Amenities: hairdryer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, hand wash, tooth brush, tooth paste and cotton buds were provided Cons… * Breakfast: starts at 8am and ends at 10am. It starts kind of late especially when some people of early start * Fitness center: only cardio machine available. Lights are never on, AC not on… also starts 8-8pm just really isn’t ideal timing especially during summer where people may wanna use the gym first thing before they have breakfast/ explore then come back for the gym.. hence I never got chance to use at all… it also looks like it’s never open… it gives a very off putting vibe. The swimming pool looks nice though.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. All my expectations were fully met. The staff were polite and attentive; you feel their welcoming attitude towards guests from the very first moment. The room was clean and cozy, with everything you need. I especially want to highlight the very convenient location of the hotel, making it easy to get to the city's main attractions. A big plus is the sauna and swimming pool. After walking around the city, it was especially nice to relax in the hotel's spa area in the evening. This added even more comfort to my vacation. Overall, it's a very pleasant and charming hotel. I only have good impressions. I highly recommend it.

Good hotel. We consistently dined at the restaurant à la carte, and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The only issue was when ordering room service, the restaurant staff mixed up our order, and we had to wait 1.5 hours for them to remake our dinner. The rooms are large, clean, and overlook the rowing canal, with a balcony. The mini-bar was empty. Housekeeping was daily, with water refills and fresh towels. In the evening, you can relax on the attic terrace. The spa is located in the neighboring 5-star hotel of the same chain (guests get a 50% discount), and it's very good. Breakfasts were excellent, constantly refilled, and the waitstaff quickly cleared everything away. Overall, I recommend this hotel 5/5, it was the best part of our vacation in Uzbekistan.

Stayed here for 3 nights, the reception is really helpful and friendly. The room was huge, beds are comfy & breakfast spread was nice. There’s a small incident where when I checked in I asked the reception how do I use the laundry service, and he gave me wrong information which ended up they didn’t do my laundry and I was out of clean clothes. I called the reception at 7pm (the laundry is closed) and they quickly send someone to collect the laundry from me & send it back to me, cleaned the next morning at 8am. But actually the laundry service is only available 10am-6pm. Glad that they took a swift action on this matter!

I had a pleasant stay at Meridian Plaza Hotel. The location, facilities, and overall amenities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were a few housekeeping issues that could be improved. On one occasion, the trash in the bathroom was not emptied during room cleaning, and a cleaning cloth was accidentally left hanging on the door handle after housekeeping service. While these were minor issues, paying closer attention to housekeeping details would make the guest experience even better. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again.

Breakfast starts at 7 AM and offers a wide variety of delicious options. During my stay, I even encountered a tour group of Chinese visitors. The room had central heating, which made it so warm that I had to open the window at night to ventilate. Upon check-in, there was a mix-up; after we swiped our key card and entered the room, we found a young Russian girl already occupying it – she must have gotten quite a fright! We quickly exited and went back to the front desk to sort it out. They promptly moved us to the adjacent room and sent up a fruit platter as an apology. For solo female travelers, it's always important to keep your door locked at all times! 😂
