Hotéis 4-Star em Melaka State, Malaysia

This was my first time staying at Babahouse, and I really loved the concept and traditional style of the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the lobby, we were warmly greeted and welcomed with a complimentary drink coin for the entire stay — 1 coin per person, per room. Since we had 2 rooms for 2 days, we received 4 coins in total. A nice little touch that made us feel welcomed. When we entered our rooms, they were generally clean, tidy and comfortable. However, in one of the rooms, we noticed some mould on the towel and also on the bed. We understand that this can happen if a room has been unoccupied for some time, especially with the humid weather. We also noticed that only some of the room windows have coverings, which may contribute to the room condition. Hopefully, the management can pay extra attention to this. The weather outside was extremely hot, with no rain for the whole week, so the first thing we did was turn the air-conditioning on full blast! We also tried the gym and really enjoyed it. Although the gym is small, the space is sufficient for a simple workout. They also provide towels and drinking water, which is very convenient. Around the hotel, there is Rumah Kechik Café and also a hidden bar on the side, which adds to the overall charm and experience. During our stay, we didn't drive around much. We mainly went out to Jonker Street and simply walked from the hotel. It was easy and convenient, and it also saved us time from dealing with traffic and finding parking. Overall, I really enjoyed my first stay at Babahouse. I love the traditional concept, atmosphere and location. With a little more attention to room maintenance and cleanliness, I believe the experience could be even better. Definitely a place I would consider staying again when visiting Melaka.

The room was spacious and comfortable and the location was quite good . Very convenient to travel around and explore area. The only one thing disappointed us that experience during check out. We had informed the front desk in person as we needed a late check out till 2pm and then had paid RM50 for it . The front desk took our keycard and room number to update after payment. So Despite this , around 1.15 pm , one of the hotel staff come to our room and rang the bell to tell us that it’s already over the check out time . We feel that the staff should have checked their system or confirmed with the front desk before coming to our room and inform us we exceed the check-out time. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay there and liked the spacious room and convenient location.

The room was excellent, boasting a fantastic view of Malacca city. Being on a high floor, humidity wasn't an issue at all. It was incredibly comfortable and impeccably clean. The service was outstanding! Absolutely superb!

Very comfortable hotel with a pool, suitable for kids. Great location near the River Cruise jetty, and walking distance to Dataran Pahlawan along the riverside path. Beautiful views... worth it. Shops, especially Speedmart99 and Mamak Sri Sahabat, have really delicious and affordable food. The staff, from top to bottom, are all kind, friendly, and welcoming. You should definitely stay at this hotel... it's worth it. I stayed 1 night, then extended to 3 nights! 😆😆

I have a pleasant and comfy stay for a night. Room was ready when I went to the counter for check in. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly.  The room was spacious enough for two people.. bed also clean and comfy. I think just the cons is that there was no small fridge (?) inside my room. Not sure whether they have them installed in another rooms.  Check out also very easy and fast.  Parking around hotel were a bit limited but they provide extra parking just at the other side of the road so you have to walk a bit (dataran). Shops also pretty nearby.

Overall, we had a good exp and enjoyed our stay, especially because of the facilities provided. However, some equipments may need maintenance. The hairdryer made a sizzling sound when in use & there was only one provided. The living room fan kept switching off by itself every 10-15mins. We contacted the host and were told that we might have accidentally set the timer despite the timer could only be set for 2 or 4 hrs. Other than these issues, we were happy with our stay.

We stayed in a luxury family suite with our children. The location is definitely the highlight; it's a convenient 12-15 minute walk to Jonker Street Night Market and the Stadthuys, making sightseeing very easy. The room was clean, and the staff were warm and attentive. A couple of things to note in advance: the suite is a duplex with a spiral staircase, which is not as practical as it looks and can be inconvenient for elderly guests or young children. Also, the hotel is near a church, so you'll hear hymns early in the morning, and there's noticeable motorbike noise late at night from downstairs. Light sleepers should definitely consider this. Overall, it's suitable for travelers who are out exploring during the day and aren't too bothered by noise at night.

The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. Overall, I was very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort, and excellent service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.
