"The hotel room is so big comparing to other hotels I've been to, everything is nice HOWEVER, it is super far from the city. Although the hotel is only 6minute from the train station, it takes more than an hour to travel from the hotel to the city. The train station is called Watford junction, and it is located in zone 8. Which as we just knew at the moment when we arrived, it is super expensive to travel around especially when we are living in zone 8. It cost around $8 to go to a station in the city, and it still cost you $3-4 to travel around, and everything need to times 2 as you need to head back to the hotel. So the price of the traveling per day per person is more than $20. Which you may use that money to go to a hotel nearer the city. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who have a car, but if you don't and if you are broke just like us, then don't."

"I really loved the garden at this hotel. It was beautiful, peaceful, and felt very natural and relaxing. The room was okay, although there was a slight musty smell, and there was no refrigerator in the room. The hotel is very close to the Harry Potter Studio, and it is within walking distance from the hotel, which was very convenient. The reception staff and restaurant staff were lovely and friendly. However, the late-night bar staff did not seem very welcoming, even though the bar still had another 30 minutes before closing. They also did not inform us from the beginning that cocktails and coffee were no longer available to order, which would have saved me time looking through those sections of the menu. In the end, I decided not to order anything. Overall, I liked the hotel much more than I disliked it, and I had a pleasant stay."

Brilliant hotel for business trips, with clean rooms, wonderfully comfortable beds and great showers. The staff are super polite and welcoming. The hotel carpark is small with space for around 20 cars but there is use of the municiple car park next to it. It is within a 10-12 minute walk to supermarkets, restuarants and takeaways. Overall a great stay.

We (family of 5) stayed in the family room as we had an early flight from Stansted in the morning. We emailed Julie with our arrival time and she had everything prepared for us including an additional camping bed in the room. We were greeted warmly and showed around our and the breakfast room. Julie even went as far to place boy/girl napkins on the table for us which was very sweet. The room itself was lovely - large enough for 5 of us and our luggage. Beds were comfy and we had good hot water and biscuits/hot drinks. The location is perfect for Stansted, it took us less than ten minutes to get to the Mid Stay car park but note that if you're in the Long Stay it's a longer journey. Another advantage is that they will let you park your car on-site for a small fee, and you can then taxi to and from the airport which is only a few minutes (we will definitely do this next time as it's considerably cheaper than the airport car parks). Breakfast was amazing - since we left early we weren't that hungry but they had a huge variety of cereals, bread/crumpets, yoghurts, drinks, cereal bars, cheese, fruit ... the list goes on. Price was also very affordable especially for larger families as we could book a single room vs. having to book two (most places are max. occupancy of four). Many thanks and hope to see you soon!

We booked at The Ridings for 1 night 29th August. The location is stunning and very quiet surroundings,  however, we were a little disappointed that the Hotel is under going refurbishment and we were not informed.  Upon entering the hotel there was no carpet on the floors and was just bare but the floors were in bad condition and also the ceiling was taken down exposing all the pipework metal tubing and wires.  It just did not give the luxury feel.  In the room it was clean and tidy but the carpet was straw carpet and did not have a nice feel following a shower.  It took an age to figure out how the lights worked in the room.  There was no telephone and the radio was a transistor radio.  We booked bed and breakfast but when we went to the restaurant we were told that we had not paid and as we were not on their list.  I obviously explained that we did pay and they contacted  reception who told them we had paid.  Unfortunately, we felt a little embarrassed as there were other people behind us.  It was not until we read the leaflet inside the room that told us it was under refurbishment.  I do feel this is something that should be pointed out in the very beginning. Overall, the location is amazing, staff friendly, breakfast was good but the hotel i feel let it down.  After all it was cheap for the night.

The room was clean and comfortably warm throughout our stay, and the stay was excellent value for money. What truly made the experience stand out was the service; every member of the front desk staff we encountered was kind, welcoming, and always smiling. They were genuinely helpful with every request we had. While the location and amenities are fairly basic/average, the exceptional hospitality and cleanliness make this a solid choice for couples looking for a reliable stay.

We had a truly wonderful stay & would like to sincere thanks to the hotel manager - his name is Charlie & the entire team for making our visit so enjoyable. The manager’s professionalism, kindness & attention to detail were exceptional. It was clear that they genuinely care about every guest’s experience, that level of dedication was reflected throughout the hotel. The staff were welcoming, attentive & always ready to help with a smile but just a single receptionist made me unhappy anyway we really enjoyed & extended our stay for few more days. The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and exceeded my expectations in every way. Many thanks for creating such a memorable stay. I truly appreciate all the hard work & hospitality, I look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended! Oh the location just 15 min drive to Harry Potters, an hour drive to Windsor Castle many restaurants with delicious food walking distance nearby…

Fantastic stay, very clean & comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly & helpful. Apsley train station directly opposite the hotel, easy direct access to London city centre, lots of amenities, supermarkets & nice pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend & will be staying again for sure.

Everything was lovely but the staff were not very friendly and we were not informed about the £200 pound deposit we needed to put down or that we would be locked out of our room at 11am Would definitely stay again, but it would have been nice to have a tiny bit more info and customer service

The hotel staff said that he couldnt find my booking although I provided my booking reference and voucher and request 15 pounds for Early check in and charged my account 51 pounds in total. Although I kept saying I booked via Trip.com and paid while I booked the hotel online. It was a prepaid booking. I am so disappointed that the hotel sent me the invoice & receipt on 14 March but I was told I would get the balance of receipt and I would be charged the early check in fee 15 pounds only, the accommodation fee after I checked out at 12pm on March 15. On March 15, when I was checking out, I checked with another staff who was on duty, he said the hotel didn’t charge my card, but the agency card, it was acceptable. Unfortunately, on my bank statement I found that the hotel charged my card for all. And it was really disappointed because they didnt really dealed with my questions and my situation. I did double pay for the accommodation to Trip. Com and the Primier Inn Richmanworth.

Good place to stay near Stansted Airport as there’s a bus across the road from the hotel. Trip.com said there would be 1 double bed and 1 single bed in an accessible room. However we went back to reception and asked and they changed our room with a double bed and single bed. There was stains on the floor but didn’t bother us
